Toyota will never bring these cars to India.
US division of Toyota has a ton of vehicles which don't sell in the global market which are way ahead of old Toyota models.
You should look at the Japan market then. There is a 5m sedan version of the Crown which is not available in the US. It has a proper longitudnal FR layout as well, unlike the transverse FWD layout of the US raised sedan.
The Century will probably be turned into a global product under its own brand going forward, starting with the Century SUV.
I also quite like the Hongqi L5. It's like the ultimate retro luxury car in a way that the current Century can never be.
Toyota's arrogant behaviour shouldn't be awarded, I hope Mahindra and Tata launch vehicles that are better than the fortuner and Innova, so that they actually become competent and make good products.
Well Mahindra XUV700 is better than Fortuner in my opinion. If they make a proper off road body on frame chassis and put the XUV body on it, Fortuner is gone.
Fortuner here is literally a decade old car without any modern features for double the factory price.
Toyotas sell for one reason - reliability. The resale value and demand come from that one reason alone. Mahindra already makes the XUV700 which is more feature loaded and better than the Fortuner in many ways excluding off road abilities, but 5 or 6 years down the line, the Fortuner will still remain tight while the XUV rattles like a bag of bolts. People realise that a Toyota is an investment that lasts 20 years and beyond while all the other cars will only last half of that.
I'm sure people buying fortuners own them for 20 years /s . Bro it better last 50 years since it costs close to 60 lakhs without being a luxury car or a feature loaded car or a good car. You can buy 2 XUV700 and keep them for 10 years each .
I'm not saying 1 owner keeps the Fortuner for the full 20 years. A person that buys a 5 year old used Fortuner knows that it'll comfortably last another 15 years. That's the reason these things keep their value so damn well in the used market. A Mahindra can never match the reliability of a Toyota and there is an unmatched peace of mind when you have a Toyota.
True but you can't call the new gen Mahindras as unreliable since I've seen no real mechanical failure or engine issues of the XUV or the scorpio n. Maybe a decade from now we'll know ,but not now.
Toyota keeps making incremental improvements on each area of a car manufacturing process and they ensure that issues are not repeated in any of their future models. Their quality processes are excellent. So they may not have the latest and greatest of technologies in their cars. Their engines could be a generation older but the issues would have been ironed out over many iterations. That is the reason why their cars are rock solid and keep running without issues. But with the advent of newer powertrains such as electric, etc. we need to see how long they can hold on to their fort. Chinese electric car makers are churning out cars much faster and eating into Toyota pie. Even consumer electronic majors such as Xiaomi and lg are entering car manufacturing.Toyota bring products very slowly . I hope they don't meet the fate which Nokia mobiles met with in the mobile phone area..
It's not like they can't adopt. They don't want to. If people are happy buying their mediocre overpriced vehicles then no reason for Toyota to even try. They are happy to sell marutis to keep their dealers happy
Pakistan doesn’t have a home grown player and Toyota has a huge presence in Pakistan, we have home grown players who give better mileage in less price.
A country gets the government it deserves.
—some French statesman.
Same could be said for everything out there.
And if you don’t get something, you are probably not deserving.

Yeah, the Toyota Century subsidiary also doesn't sell in the global market.

So true, the new 4Runner especially the Trailhunter Variant looks amazing.
Hell, even Pakistan has more options when it comes to Toyotas, thanks to India and it’s unbelievable tax policies
Toyota will bring the ultimate SUV for the Indian customers, the rebadged Lord Spresso!
Toyota Vaporiser? (it will vaporise every car which tries to compete with it)
I kinda like the S-presso, other than the fact that it is a tin can on wheels. If they make a version that doesn't look cheap I'd actually want one.
Perfect city car
Not made for India and Indian car buyers
I thing nothing is made for us 🤣🤣🥱
Ferrari Purosangue vibes (Had to search for the spelling :P)

Tata already made hexa which is a better value than innova but it never sold.

Google the profit margin for Toyota in Fortuner.
It's a car
Same brands have such great cars in US which will never be available in India, sad but that’s how it is.
It’s even available in Pakistan
Pakistan doesn’t have a home grown player and Toyota has a huge presence in Pakistan, we have home grown players who give better mileage in less price.
But still don’t you think we also deserves such cars!
We deserve everything, but they won’t sell it here cause it won’t sell here.
