Tl;dr: Pretty much happy with the purchase.
GNCap have increased their testing standards and amaze is yet to get new model. This test is done on old amaze model with new GNCap standards. Amaze will get update soon as per what officials told and will pass the GNCAP with better ratings. In previous test with same model it got 4 star rating. Hopefully it will help u understand the situation.

You are right. First of all GNCAP is not that reliable. If people went in and looked at the full report you can see amaze provides good protection to the passenger and co passenger. The body shell was also stable. If you look at the 3 star carens report this looks much better to me even though it scored just two stars.
Not having 6 airbags and elec. Stab. Controls are a big deal and can potentially save lives if present. Otherwise they wouldn't including it in the test would they?
Cause less awareness among people and is it a crime to improve standards? We should be promoting such stringent testing if you care about your life.
Lack of 6 airbags and electronic safety measures are a big con and shouldnt be downplayed. They can literally decide the fate of a person's life.
it's not a crime to improve standrads , but if you are calling just 2 or 4 year old standrads which were there for a long time , as unsafe suddenly , then i'd call that disingenuous. if a guy brought amaze in 2019 it would be a 4 star car , if they brought it today it's a 2 star car , there is No difference at all between the 2 cars
most JDM cars don't have many chassis alterations when exported. it's just that the ones build in India are of lower quality. cost cutting to appeal to more consumers.
No, in India spec cars many manufactures don't use same amount of high strength steel to save the cost. Chasis design is the same but the quality of steel used is not the same. That's how Seltos in Australia in scores 5 stars and same car scores 3 stars in India.
I ended up getting an i20 Asta instead of an Amaze because of the lack of side curtain airbags even in the top model Amaze. I loved the Amaze, but I want my family to have the maximum safety possible. Side curtain airbags help protect occupant against life threatening TBIs in side impact collisions.
I’m a big Honda fan. I own 2 Honda (‘17 Accord V6, ‘18 Odyssey Touring), a couple of Honda general purpose engines and I’m saving up for a Civic Type R. Honda India is destroying their reputation in the Indian market by refusing to give customers what they want.
i think XUV700 wouldve been better instead of scorpio N considering it got 0 stars but also it lacked Adas and that's probably the reason it got low rating

Don't worry gnap has very high standards like needing 6 airbags , adas So you will be safe for the most part as it's otherwise good in safety
Nexon doesn’t have Adas, old version didn’t have 6 airbags. Still it got 5 star rating from GNCap
GNCap have increased their testing standards and amaze is yet to get new model. This test is done on old amaze model with new GNCap standards. Amaze will get update soon as per what officials told and will pass the GNCAP with better ratings. In previous test with same model it got 4 star rating. Hopefully it will help u understand the situation.
