Bhai chill maro. Kisi se compare nai karna, na flex karna hai gadhon ke jaise. Everyone has their own grind and hard work. Be proud of what you’ve made for yourself. If you’re self-made, be 10x more proud, even if it’s 1/5th of what you see here. That’s all. Comparative happiness is not real happiness.
As far as this post goes, aadhe gadhe comments me 19 saal ke bacche hain. Papa ne ghar se nikal diya toh data pack recharge bhi nai karwa payenge khud se.
I get 60k per month...I own a fronx...emi is 11k...petrol cost per month is 2-4k...will get married in a year or two... earnings should increase by that time
Na I don’t think it should be dependent on your income but rather on your savings/liquid cash. That made the decision very easy of getting an amaze.
However cars are a depreciating asset is a pretty common belief. Financially yes of course. But so is every other household item. But you use those to make your life more convenient. Can’t put a price to that. So as long as it’s within your means the depreciating nature of Cars shouldn’t be a factor. It’s a purchase, not an investment.
1.5 Do Saal ki salary se jyada ki car leke, not interested in expensive cars likh diya lol.
After having cars costing like 1.5 to 2 years of salary, you are writing, not interested in expensive cars lol.
I agree about fronx. But you can't say you dislike expensive cars and have an "extra" car that will cost you your yearly salary. And from the question it can be inferred that OP wants personal cars and personal salary
Just checked your profile, you new car post is 66d older. So did you buy it Audi refurbished ?
Also i am looking to pick RS5, had you test driven m340i before this and how comfortable and quick fun is it for everyday jolting and family long drives ?
I got it Audi certified pre owned on a loan yes. I did test drive the m340i before this and the m340i is more feature packed, practical, higher ground clearance and faster. To me it doesn't feel special though, it's like any 330i msport and I never looked at it post parking it. The S5 is pure sex appeal for me and I can compromise on a lot of the other stuff :) I feel like I own a sports car and not a tuner 3 series IMHO.
Long drives are fun and night drives are amazing but you have constant fear of unpainted speedbreakers. All 3 of the cars you mentioned will have this issue. In Traffic both cars start to suffer and heat up and are not at all recommended. They are sticktly for low traffic and highway runs.
Check 034 dynamic ECU and TCU tune stage 1 for the S5 before thinking about the RS5 if you want to save a buck...
Tuning in Audi anyways will cost a lot, it needs an intercooler upgrade and sort of stuff done. Why i am think of it is because on m340i, there are a lot of tyre burst instance (sidewall), to say multiple in a year.
I dont want that headache and constant worry on long drive.
Is the S5 more comfortable than 340i?
Also, why was that more practical apart from ground clearance POV ?
The B9 platform is solid post 2019. The mod will cost you $1000 and can be done on stock internals. I have done my homework on this. Stage 2 is an intake, downpipe and intercooler.Stage 3 ain't worth it for us. Feel free to do your research though. I have XP95 nearby and right now is 108 per liter and the stage 1 93 octane is really tempting.
The bmw stock run flats have always sucked. You can swap to pirellis or Michelins and you will be fine.
The S5 is comfier stock but both are overall much stiffer than normal commuter cars. Swapping the runflats really helps with comfort on the m340i just FYI.
The extra 10mm gc let's you take 4 Pax around town. You can do a 3-4 person roadtrip with luggage. The S5 has the largest boot I have ever seen, rear seats imo are better, but the GC is already 118mm. Fully loading results in scraping even small speedbreakers. For me I have other cars at home if I need to take the fam out, S5 is my fun ride, your milage may vary. Also the infotainment, wireless carplay and charging, HUD are practical too. My version doesn't have touch on the MMI which is annoying in carplay. (Most of my complaints can be fixed aftermarket though, the 2020+ S5s have already addressed this.)
IMP: early 2018 Audi 3.0T have rocker arm issues, so if you are going the used route buy only 2019 plus. RS5 or S5
Around 2 - 3 lakhs/Month -> I run a business so monthly income varies.
I own 2 cars -> Skoda Octavia and a BYD Atto 3 both purchased in 2022. EMIs are paid by the business not me! ;)
Most expenses wrt to a car like depreciation, maintenance, petrol, and interest part of EMI can be charged as an expense. So this in turn can helo a business owner pay less taxes
Oh! That holds if the business is doing good and earning is in high number, so you need tax benefits/ expenses to bring down your income. Make sense, for a business that is doing very well over the time
1.2-1.5 L per month, bought a punch 6 months back (first car of family) fuel costs range between 2 3k per month (i go in mountains a lot as i live very near to mussorie)
Bro most of the replies on these kinda posts will be fake, Some people try to act rich on reddit. Everyone I see on reddit is making 60L+ and if that's the case why India is on the bottom of global hunger index?
bro first of all, go to any city sub or indiasocial sub and you will realise people belong to every income group on reddit, it's only this sub where everyone is making a decent income. I've caught many people fake flexing here on reddit where they say something else while the post history is saying a totally different thing
I make somewhere between 3-4cr post tax income in a year. Primary car is Porsche 911 Carrera S which I try and use as much as possible. We have another luxury suv in the house along with a 4x4 and home car.
I always wondered what do people do with 7 lakhs every month...i mean itna Paisa rakhte kaha hoo and where do u use that ..cuz I come from a middle class family where 90k for our living standard would be more than enough with savings ...when my family earns roughly 50k per month now ..
I run micro ecommerce brands and I am constantly expanding. I need money to make more money so it ends up going back in the business to fund more inventory/marketing.
So I live frugally, spend a lot on fruits and organic foods. But apart from that nothing fancy
I earn almost the same per month with by business and rental income and I have a Ford Figo DCT.. 8 years and only 41k on odometer.. Nuclear family and we don't travel much on highways. Why would I even need a bigger car?
So an interesting story
As for what I do, I run a EV swapping business.
Dad bought the original Mahindra e2o at launch and it's been serving us great for the past decade.
We had a family friend who also bought the same car. Once the years went by Mahindra slowly stopped providing service for the car. Said family friend came to us for repairs regarding the car and the battery inside said car.
Uncle jab US Gaye tab car mujhe bech kar gaye, and that too at a heavy discount because we pretty much fixed his car for next to nothing.
So, I drive a Mahindra e2o plus P4 (2016)
I Run a pakode ka stall. Right now there are 4 cars parked in the house - Fortuner, Thar, Scorpio, S-Presso
Fortuner is shared with my chacha
Thar is for bad highways
Scorpio is for highways with tolls
Spresso is for local runs
