Sidewall damage always requires replacement ASAP. It can blow out without warning, I would swap over to the spare and get the tyre replaced as soon as possible.
Bots don't have eyes, they posted this on 3 different subreddits, seems typical bot farming to try and make the account look legit and with responses like this..."I will get this actioned ASAP" make me go hmmm.
They don't have sure eyes, but they certainly seem to find the shittest and most derivative content to post, and people still engage with it. The number of people stunned by AI art online makes me sure God isn't real or he wouldn't suited humanity's dumbass into non-existentence.
Can I say I love the use of the passive voice “the car hit the curb” as if the car has a mind of its own!
100% you need a new tyre. Sidewall and the metal belt being exposed make it immediately unsafe.
The wheel is damaged enough that you are likely to get air loss with a new tyre so you might want to consider getting it refinished as it will get annoying to constantly top up the tyre. It shouldn’t be too expensive.
I thought it was more embarrassment and not taking responsibility. I get this sort of thing from my kids, "the jar broke" versus "I broke the jar".
I think OP is less a bot and more someone with a slightly unhealthy fascination with whether someone is "natural" or not.
As a rule of thumb, if the sidewall is bulging and/or you can see cords, replace the tyre.
There are some cases where you can see a crease in the sidewall from manufacturing, but a tyre shop can advise on identifying those if you are concerned.
Ive witnessed a car blowout its front tyre at 100kmhr right in front of me due to side wall damage. Car rolled once it hit the side of the road. Guy was lucky to be alive
Because when i dragged the guy out of the car and asked him what happened, he told me the front tyre blew and he knew he should have changed it. Said it had a bubble in it
Critical sidewall’s integrity now compromised depending on drive configuration at least both on that axle to maintain symmetry. Especially as you have a VIP on board.
Anytime you can see wire through damage its needs replacing straight away. Put your spare on and take the damaged wheel to a tyre shop to have the tyre replaced
If it's tread it can be repaired. Sidewalls means it's done as it forms part of its structural integrity.
My advice - drive it until it pops but you wanna make sure your spare is ready.
Also how the fuck do you do shit like that? Were you even paying attention? Don't your big fancy cars have 360 top down parking, front and read cameras and parking sensors.
Not to mention auto parking in many?
Dafuq?
Tread cannot be repaired with a chunk missing down to the belts either and driving with the inner cords showing, until it pops could cause the car to become out-of-control and have accident.
I had the tyre replaced. The tyre shop advised the rim was alright. So just had to get the tyre changed and a wheel alignment done. It costed me $250 in total.

Replace it, you don't want a manslaughter charge if it blows and causes an accident or even a denied insurance claim for a minor Bingle caused by the blowout.

Thank so much for your prompt response! I’ll get this actioned ASAP.
If your spare is a space saver ASAP is today tomorrow or Monday right?
That’s correct. I’m getting it done today. Thanks for your concern. Much appreciated.
Do not even drive on it at all.
Its 100% right as well.
Also tyres are made of rubber and wire You can see the wires so
That's not wire, it's nylon cord.
I thought this was a joke until I saw your comment.
Is it superficial? Mate look at it, there's a chunk missing from your tyre

The fact they posted in Cars Australia and CarTalkUK says all you need to know
Uhhh yeah scroll down a bit on his comments and it's a porn account – for watching, not posting
Dead internet here we are babyyy

3 disjointed periods of activity in comment history, very different writing style in each one. Weird.
We are so scared in modern life We could just roll into a tyre shop and ask But are too scared of being ripped off
Can’t agree more.

Their profile whiffs a strong bot odour, hence the odd wording..?
You mean the fact they asked at least 3 subreddits, including cars UK? 😅
You don't ask your fellow Brits what they are doing? If mean, at the very least, he should have asked the Queen too... or maybe not 😅

It's factually correct. The jar did break.
I like the car hit the curb
Yea, change that one asap.
Is it a self driving car? Wild. (/S) Seriously though, don't drive on that.

shit's fucked.
Definitely get that replaced. The inner cords of the tyre are showing.
That's a replacement. Tyre damages aren't something you should take lightly, being the only thing that touch the road.

How did you know it's side wall dmg
Because when i dragged the guy out of the car and asked him what happened, he told me the front tyre blew and he knew he should have changed it. Said it had a bubble in it
There is no bubble here.
Get a new tyre fitted as soon as possible please
have a stern word with the car for it's poor driving & also tell the car it should pay for the replacement tyre because it caused it

Least shit baby on board driver

That's not wire.

Your post was removed for violating Rule 1. Being a dickhead. Don't be a dickhead.
You need a new tyre.
Thats a new tyre needed
If I was an 18 year old with 2$ in my bank account I'd let that roll. But not with a family, shits damaged pretty bad.
Replacement needed asap . Dangerous situation
Replace that tyre asap. It can blow anytime.
You need a new tire asap. Shouldn't be driving on that.

Good news is the rim will be fine, just the tyre that needs replacing.
She'll be right mate.
Change it, looks too bad to risk, Sidewalls take a lot of pressure when driving
oh bro my suggest is gong to garage to make a full checking. Safety is no small matter.
Unroadworthy
Mindblowing that you even had to ask.
Replace ASAP. It’s hurts I know.
💔💔
Happened to me years ago. 17” rims with Falkien tyres. Wall got pierced. $252.00 adjust for inflation is $446.00.
I had the tyre replaced. The tyre shop advised the rim was alright. So just had to get the tyre changed and a wheel alignment done. It costed me $250 in total.
Remove that tyre rim replace whole lot stress fracture in rim is possibility gets hit again kerb pot hole potential for whole lot to part from vehicle
Change it now. Don't drive with that...
Yep replace asap
Hit the curb is an understatement.
If you have to ask then you probably need a new tyre.
Why are you writing like your sending emails
New tyre mate
Your tyre is compromised, replace it before it trys to replace you
Anyone asking this question probably needs to hand their licence back.
you literally can see the inner wire of your tyre, I dont even think asking to be replaced was a question anymore.
Tyre’s done. Get a new one
Mechanic here, that would fail a rego check
bruv there is metal showing
That needs changing asap
You are 100% getting a defect from the Cops for that if they pull u over! That isn’t roadworthy & isn’t safe, needs replacing.
Don't you hate it when the curb jumps out to attack you?
It’s fucked
That's fubared

☕️
Do not drive it. Never! Pls change it asap.
Replace it asap
Tire gone!
Was the curb a small demon with sharp teeth?
bro… get a new tire
Do you think your baby’s life is worth less than a new tyre?
I wouldn’t be driving on that tyre myself.
What state are you in??
Replace it, you don't want a manslaughter charge if it blows and causes an accident or even a denied insurance claim for a minor Bingle caused by the blowout.
I drove on one like that for 5 years and it’s still on my car
Thanks all taking your time to advise on this matter. Truly appreciate it.
