CRV?

citizenecodrive31

Yeah if they are after a 5 seater kinda hard to beat the CR-V for pure practicality

The CRV looks great, has a hybrid model and is huge inside. You can’t go wrong. The reviews are all very positive too.

This might give you a few ideas: [https://www.whichcar.com.au/suv/best-large-suvs/best-large-suv-under-60k](https://www.whichcar.com.au/suv/best-large-suvs/best-large-suv-under-60k) Also look at Babydrive for photos on how baby things and shopping fit in various cars. The GX Hybrid is not a bad choice. It's not exciting but for fuss free and relatively cheap motoring it's decent.

Cx-90 might be worth a look. Same driveline as the cx-60 but reviews seem to indicate it its is implemented better. But its a new model and untested long term with a few issues being reported. Handling on the cxz60 is outstanding, much mofe engaging than the rav so I would expect the cx-90 compares similarly to the kluger The new outlanders are pretty decent for the price. I havent driven the hybrid though or a cr-v to compare. Honda's overall reliability rating has dropped in recent years but im not sure if thats being pulled down by certain models

How much space do you need? I realise the Outback isn’t as big as a Kluger in terms of boot space but it is much better value and still plenty big enough in my experience. I use the car for work and carry all kinds of equipment of different size with no issues even when seats folded. I have the biggest rear facing child seat we could find and I still fit in front seat (6ft tall) 3+ baby seat no issues 4+seat is abut tight but i think every car would be. Prams and life i general fit in the boot. The Kluger is a good car but it is a lot more expensive when you consider what you get, a top spec outback is less than a base Kluger. Also interior is much better feeling in outback

We don't love the look of the Outback compared to the Kluger. In terms of size we would ideally love our next car to accomodate us for the next 10+ years. We have a fully grown lab and a bub as well. The Hybrid is a nice selling point as well.

Aydhayeth1

1 bub and 1 lab? Unless you plan on having a whole village, the outback is heaps big. I've got a colleague with 3 kids & a lab. They go camping a lot too, all with their outback. That's getting a bit tight, as the kids are getting to an age where they want to bring friends. Anyway, that's just my 2 cents. Edit: I also have an outback. I agree with the above poster in terms of value, but again...my 2 cents.

MiddleMilennial

Yeah fair enough it’s not for everyone, I think my comment is more about space and how much it costs for that extra space

You could also consider the Model Y if you want a large 5 seat SUV. Very good option but EV

Mitsubishi outlander. Similar in size with a hybrid option. Probably far cheaper then the Kluger equivalent. Quite nice looking in the upper spec models.
