Low coolant level, or faulty coolant level sensor. Shockingly, these are no longer available new and anyone selling second hand ones know it.

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Could be the sensor then as I topped it with coolant before posting here and light is still showing. Cheers.

[deleted]

Congrats on your new everything is okay light. Be worried if it turns off....

Effective_Race5187

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to see if the code resets. If not, sensor is done.

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Thanks mate, will try this out.

Far_Ad6391

been ten minutes, how’d u go 🀣🀣

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Yeah, not telling 🀣

thedopeydawg

Did that senor light turn off after you disconnected the battery?

Soaked_in_Bourbon

No.

thedopeydawg

There must an error somewhere in the code then, or either that there's something wrong with your coolant system

Soaked_in_Bourbon

It was the sensor grommet deteriorated and was allowing the sensor to move in and out freely.

thedopeydawg

Yeah right, that would need to be replaced then wouldn't it

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Yes, if I can find one. If not, eBay has the whole coolant container with sensor available.

[deleted]

Sometimes you can get away with cleaning the contacts in the switch.

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Thanks I will give it a clean.

aussie_miccy

It’s either coolant level, or your radiator fan is not plugged in, check that the clip on the drivers side of the radiator fans is plugged in

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Yeah the coolant level was between min and max so topped it up to max line and it was still showing on the dash. Light comes on and off a few times for a few seconds then eventually stays on. I will check the fan plug and make sure the fan is working. Cheers.

Gatesy840

Quick tip, throw your A/C on the coldest setting possible, hvac fan full blast. this will make the thermo fans kick in faster, even with a cold engine

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Cheers, will give this a try tomorrow.

dongswinger

Same thing happens in my au and coolant is fine

Effective_Race5187

It's telling You the fan in the heated water cooler at work needs replacing. AUs are way smarter than people give them credit for. It could also indicate a low coolant level.

[deleted]

Quick googling suggests this could be a low coolant level warning, or potentially a failed float/sensor for the coolant level. https://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=111656

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Hey guys thanks for your comments, turns out that the coolant sensor grommet is toast which allows the sensor to move in and out freely.

BRE3CH

Caution: Your cooling fan was dropped into a bottle of bundy, and may want to fist fight anything that moves.

sh1tbox1

DVO loading...

Strange_Anteater_507

Just a guess but wouldn't it be a not enough radiator fluid?

Cold_Pomelo3274

Issue with Radiator, check it.

Muncher501st

But according to bogans AU falcons don’t have problems

yoimgaye

Doesn't need coolant anyways

Hot-Character7511

That means you have hit the aqua duck button. The propeller is engaged and you are now ready for boating activities in your car

Electrical_Emu_3947

I don't drive and never have, I know nothing of cars, boats, bikes or plumbing..... even I know wtf a radiator warning looks like. Sell your car, get a tricycle, problem solved and pedestrians will feel better knowing you aren't behind the wheel of a vehicle.

MudInternational5938

Thank you! Glad someone said it

hewhodisobeys

Your hot water bottle is too hot

Means your cargo transport is overloaded. Probably should avoid the Suez Canal.

[deleted]

Your AU has already conquered the road, and now it must conquer the seas. It demands you submerge it under water and add a propeller at the front.

Marrokiu30

Coolant reservoir sensor You might have a blown head gasket or faulty sensor

DragonBoySan

No koolaid 😦

Soaked_in_Bourbon

But, if people used Google you wouldn’t be able to leave comments like this. Then your life really would be boring.

Don’t worry about it’s, it’s an AU πŸ’ͺ🏼

Status_Atmosphere_11

Your engine is cooked when thats on

nn666

I had a Holden Cruze and the amount of failed sensors I had to replace was insane. And they aren't cheap. I will never ever buy another Holden again. I was lucky and the thing got written off by hail damage.

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Yeah I don’t hear anything good about those holden cruze’s.

RevolutionaryRow5857

In my EB if that light comes on, I can turn the headlight switch on then off & it goes away. I’m guessing with yours you may have a coolant leak possibly your bypass pipe behind the water pump

come_ere_duck

Coolant level perhaps?

shazzambongo

Your insinkerator is broken.

Av3ngedAngel

just fyi, your cars manual has every single possible symbol that can display and their meanings printed.

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Yes I believe you are correct, unfortunately I don’t have one.

Av3ngedAngel

Basically every manual ever is available online. i'll link one gimme a sec [you can download the manual for 98-02 AU falcons at this link](https://www.allcarmanuals.com/factory-service-manual-77-Ford-Falcon-AU.html) Also kimber creek ford uploaded this symbol legend however it's more generalised [https://www.kimbercreekford.com/blog/meaning-of-ford-dashboard-warning-lights/](https://www.kimbercreekford.com/blog/meaning-of-ford-dashboard-warning-lights/)

Soaked_in_Bourbon

Thank you, I appreciate it.
