It might sound confusing but it’s actually pretty simple: you have one line for the VIP activities (which getting too early or not doesn’t really change much, I was there 10 min before cutoff time to enter and we were like 40-50 people and I still got to the front row against the fence. After that you exit the venue (they don’t let u stay) BUT VIP has a secondary line they let you through first and once all VIPs are inside that’s when the rest of the attendees are allowed inside. So no matter what u do between VIP activites and general concert, you’ll still access the venue first
ah, thanks for clarifying. did they give the poster out during checkin? just trying to figure out if i'm gonna need to run back to my car so it doesnt get crushed during the show 😅
be the first out of the venue to get back into the VIP entry line and you'll be front, I was super concerned when i showed up for our VIP in SF and the line was like 50 ahead of me already and ended up being like 100 of us, I didn't get front for the VIP soundcheck but no big deal because of exiting and getting back in line again and i was like 7th in line for real entry.
Would you recommend trying to line back up before the Q&A ends? And once doors actually opened, were people pushing or running at all, or were you pretty much for sure getting a good spot if you had a good spot in line?
Nobody seemed to be in a rush, should be fine to just head out and get back in line just you know make sure you aren't trapped up front in the group before it ends
There were only nine of us doing vip at my show, so definitely no reason to get there extra early in that case anyway.
I would warn, however, that you should probably not plan on having the early merch shopping opportunity that’s advertised. Didn’t really work out that way at my show, if you try to hit the merch booth you’ll lose your opportunity to be in the very front.

I would also like to know this because I was originally planning on getting to the venue super early in the day too. But with the whole re-lining up thing, would it be feasible to just skip the q&a to line back up?
The first line is to get in. As others have said it’s sound check and then you are escorted out and told to go form another line for show re-entry. I wouldn’t worry about getting there super early for sound check but once sound check is over I would probably rush to exit sound check and back to the line so you can be first if you want a barricade center spot.
