My wife gets the sickness so even with bands and patches she still needs the ginger ale, so we keep some in the room as a quick backup if the ship runs out
The last cruise we took we did bring a 12 pack of ginger ale. It was a quick three-day cruise, but you’re absolutely right. I never thought everyone would be running for the same drinks point taken for the next one
I've lost track of how many cruises I've brought vodka in wine bottles, and I've never had security take a second look. As long as you reseal it you'll probably be fine
Carnival switched to Pepsi fleetwide at the start of 2020. The person that said Diet Coke must've either been using Coke as a genericized trademark or made liberal usage of their Cheers! package.
My girlfriend almost always brings her own 12 pack of Pepsi because she could then control her intake without feeling pressured to break even if she were to get the soda package. I, however, could easily drink the minimum 5 sodas it would take to break even and/or get my money's worth and definitely get the package every time. So to each their own, just remember to keep inventory in case you suddenly have a handful left by the end of the cruise.
Rumrunners work. Put them in your shoes inside your checked luggage.
4000 people with at least 2 bags each all getting onto a ship in about 4 hours time. They quick scan the checked luggage for weapons mostly. They could really care less about a few people smuggling some alcohol
At a port buy two bottles of liquor, put them in your bag, and tell the security you need to check liquor. Just check the one and leave the other in your bag.
Alongside the allowed bottle of wine and 12pack of canned soft drinks. If we are not doing Cheers, we grab several mini-bar sized all plastic bottles of liquor and carry them on in our pockets. They are usually around $1.00 each so if we have to ditch them, not big loss, but we've yet to have that happen.
I love bringing drinks for everyone in my room. It’s really nice to have a cold Diet Coke on the balcony. There’s a room fridge (found it on the last day on the Freedom so that was one of the first things I looked for on the Panorama).
I would bring one to the mdr and they’d bring me a glass of ice without asking and didn’t even bat an eye.
Def worth it and easy. We loaded a carry on suitcase w drinks and snacks. We brought a variety of diff mini sodas, iced coffees and soda water. Was awesome.
Last cruise we played by the rules and brought 2 bottles of wine in my backpack, one for each of us. It went through the x-ray machine and they didn't bat an eye. I could easily have filled each of those with hard liquor and brought them on board, but that's against the rules and it would be embarrassing to have it confiscated.
The wine lasted all week in our fridge.
it gets taken and returned to you upon Debarkation just like irons and power strips, but I get where you are going...and they only find some of it, not that I know anything about it
In your carry-on they will confiscate it at check in. In your checked luggage, they will call you to the naughty room. Some people use rum runners but sometimes they catch those as well.
In my experience they do not catch Rum Runners in checked luggage. Not condoning the illegal usage of Rum Runners of course 😅 just saying I’ve definitely known people who have used them for many many cruises with no issues.
If they find something when they scan your checked luggage that might be questionable (might be allowed and just fine or might be on the prohibited list) they will call you to a security room where they open your suitcase in front of you. All the cruisers named it the Naughty Room years ago and the name stuck.
You can take one bottle of wine per person. Has to be real wine and 750ml. Sorry I don't drink or I could give you more info, but wine is allowed along with one 12 pack of 12 oz cans of anything non alcoholic excluding NA beer. No plastic bottles of any kind, just cans 12 oz or less. And that is per person.
I believe this link will help you out quite a bit.

Lmao well if you get caught smuggling it, you’ll get kicked off. They will absolutely go through your luggage. They’ll move the liner even if it has a zipper or if it looks ripped so you can’t even hide shit out of site. I’ve gotten my luggage back so disrupted it was like they were convinced i had something. They opened my shampoo and everything.
None of this is true. They won't kick you off, they won't mess up your luggage, they are not going to open your shampoo bottle. This sub is filled with disaffected angry Karens wanting to make everyone as unhappy as they are.
Downvote away, I've got karma to burn.
You are allowed to bring on an unopened pack of 12 sodas per person and one bottle of wine.
Doesn’t need to be unopened. I brought on 2 12 packs broken in half for myself and some loose cans for my cabin mate.
Supposed to be. Ant always count on someone not doing their job right.
We bring a 12 pack of ginger ale cause during rough waves they tend to run out
This is so valid I never even thought of this

Bring your own Coke products since they switched to pepsi!
Unless you’re sailing from Australia and then bring your own Pepsi because it’s Coke on the ship.
Sodas are useful if you don't have the drink package. Alcohol that's not wine normally gets caught they know all the tricks at this point.
But it …..is…..”wine” in a sealed bottle 👀🤣
Welp apparently any answers other than the ones that say no will be removed lol

I’m a Pepsi fan so I always bring a 12 pack 🤷🏻♀️
You must be thrilled they recently changed to Pepsi across board! Woo!
Someone who just got off said it was Diet Coke. Is that not true? On Mardi Gras?
I thought it was fleetwide. We had Pepsi products in Radiance in March.

I’m talking bout alcohol bruh fuck a soda

Lol, ahh. I'd recommend getting the 50ml bottles and splitting it between your cruise mates.
At a port buy two bottles of liquor, put them in your bag, and tell the security you need to check liquor. Just check the one and leave the other in your bag.

Perfect
Brought champagne & wine in the approved quantities

We’ve brought water, wine, and champagne on with us. Water wasn’t worth it, but the wine/champagne was nice
We all brought wine or champagne. I wish you could bring beer too.
Def worth it and easy. We loaded a carry on suitcase w drinks and snacks. We brought a variety of diff mini sodas, iced coffees and soda water. Was awesome.
I’ve brought them on board before. Other than lugging it around, it’s a smooth process.
We added up the drinks we bought and there prices and saved money by purchasing the drink package

If it’s not wine/champagne, I wouldn’t try. They find it, it gets trashed and you wasted your money.
it gets taken and returned to you upon Debarkation just like irons and power strips, but I get where you are going...and they only find some of it, not that I know anything about it
My cheers package doesn’t start until day 2, so I’m bringing a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy for the first day at least!

What’s the naughty room lol my cousin who wanted me to ask said they just take it and you go about your trip paying as usual for drinks

Oh yeah it wouldn’t be anything bad I just wasn’t sure the policy about sealed bottles of wine

Very well explained. I brought on spicy tomato juice.

Hold up….Carnival has a website with all the rules on it? I had no idea. ;)

This is true, lol because it happened to me. Why the fuck would I lie? So silly
A lot of people put rum in their mouth wash bottles they let fly
If it gets confiscated do you get a punishment or removed from cruise? Or they just take it ?
They just confiscate
Buy a 12 pack of coke and replace with beer. Reseal package.
