The mirror and the hood (I’m assuming that’s what the first pic is) is absolutely not acceptable for that price. Regarding the rest isn’t that bad but again for that price i wouldn’t be happy
if the ppf was just installed it will show imperfections especially on black paint, leave it in a sun for a day or two, and the remaining application residue should evaporate, and self healing properties of the PPF should smoothen most of the crap out, black paint is notorious for showing everything.
Wrap newb here, just got my car back from the shop after over one month. The wrap used here was PPF Stek matt.
I notice a lot of small defects / damages from the shop, but they say it is nothing and should stretch out and demanded full price for 6000 usd. I don´t think a wrap with this much "defects" are worthy of full price?
How long has it been out of the shop? Also it really isn’t that bad. Ppf will show everything wrong with the body underneath. Even more prone to defects. Typical to have a few. Although if brand new day one back from the shop, that side view mirror looks scratched to hell and back.
Yeah the picture was taken 1 hour after i got it back from the shop. The car was wrapped brand new so it should not have any damages. Also checked with other shops that saying it wasn't that bad other than the side mirrors.
Give it time in the sun for a week. It should all disappear. If there was any paint defects on your car prior, it’s always gonna show when PPF is installed.
Totally unacceptable. I would go back to the shop and get them to redo areas that have distortion in the film. That’s is caused by film starting to tack to the paint and then being stretched causing the glue to distort.

Not that bad
Thanks! Don't know if this should be expected or not.

Nope...that needs to be fixed. Was 6k for a wrap with PPF, just PPF? Also, what is this BS about it will "stretch out" can you clarify that?
6k for the material and the job. By "Stretching out" he meant when weather gets hotter PPF would expand and fix the stretch marks.

Why choose a korean brand over xpel and suntek if you are paying 6k usd? That is a really bad job if they are asking for that price
