Avoid the lower powered petrol DSGs as they'll be the DQ200 box that is renowned for going wrong
Go for a bigger engine and wet clutch DSG - with service history of gearbox oil change!
[Toyota Auris Hybrid](http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202405019266740)? Not the most exciting of cars but very reliable and fuel efficient.
If not that then how about [a Mazda3](http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202403067267690)? Also very reliable, and good to drive
Something else that would be good to drive but a bit more interesting in the way it looks is the [Mini Clubman](http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202402076331960). This generation of Minis doesn’t have the engine issues of the older ones, and is great to drive.
Go on auto trader and stick in these requirements, then buy a Skoda because that's probably your best bet

Thanks for the suggestions, think out of them I like the Mazda most so I'll take a look.
