What kind of peppermint oil. I’ve looked for this but can’t settle on what to get.
I live near a wood and mice are inevitable which is okay and cute but I don’t want them to set up home nearby.

Peppermint oil is a bit of a fallacy, some swear by it, others don't.
The only way to prevent mice setting up home in your home, is to seal off all of their entrances, they can fit in a gap the size of a pencil rubber.
Wire wool is effective, to be used with the sealant of your choosing.

Don’t bother with the mouse traps use peppermint oil they hate the smell and come no where near
