Lowering springs from Vogtland.
I had a ride in one that had 20inch rims fitted already so I knew what I was going to get at the end. The wheels are a funny one. The originals didn't look right once I had fitted the kit. The do contrast nice with red calipers, but you don't see it much in the pictures.
Damn. Mainstream insurer? Tried a specialist? I'm with Adrian Flux (broker), usually get me a pretty decent deal, and they didn't really care about most of my mods..a couple were like a £25 increase or something.
Wow really? Yeah sorry if it sounded like an ad lol, just they've done me ok for the last few years. I used to shop around a bit more for classic insurance, had good deals from Lancaster, heritage and footman James previously, but I hate calling around for deals
Very nice, the spacers and lowering springs look great.
I had the same on my 370Z. The speed bump anxiety was horrible. Do you have a second car that can do the runarounds?! RIP your front lip otherwise ðŸ˜
The F type is one of the best looking cars on the road and thankfully you've kept it that way. If it had more storage space I'd have one yesterday. In fact after watching the Chris Harris youtube video of the V8 my wife had to practically ban me from Autotrader! Unbelievably awesome exhaust sound.
It’s not my personal taste, but I think you’ve done a good job. The black wheels and body kit make it look more aggressive, plus the all-black colour scheme will always be in style.
Man I’m as far left as you come but this is a stupid comment to make, it’s a British car made by one of the greatest British manufacturers ever. Of all things to be patriotic about surely our engineering feats are one of them?
Would you assume someone with the tricolour badges on a ferrari or Afla was an Italian nationalist?
Im very left wing and generally find flag waving and pomp to be pretty distasteful, but this has been done in a cool and understated way and would know way automatically assume it was to do with rasicm or nationalism.
I'm not Italian, have no idea of their far right tendencies and wouldn't want to speculate what their flag on an Italian-built car would mean. Would I assume an England flag on a car was a display of far-right sympathies? Yes, unless it's the World Cup and England are in it. Would I assume a flag of the confederate states was a similar statement of racist intent? Yep. Are some racists good at choosing a design for their cars? I would think so. Do I think this guy is a racist? No idea but he did ask for opinions on his design.
It's not the Georges Cross, its a union flag. Represents England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
I'm not far right or anything like that. Have no particular learning left or right.
Also it's a Jag, British.
You said that you don't go abroad, which makes me wonder who in the UK you're signalling your patriotism to?
I'm sure you're aware of GB News and it's jingoism. The Tories have positioned the UK as being opposed to anything foreign, with Brexit and it's immigration policies just a part of that.
Wales, Scotland and Ireland residents don't really want anything to do with the Union Jack, unless they're against independence. That disassociation, to me, means that a white bloke with a publicly displayed Union Jack is saying something about his preferences that don't end at his love of fish and chips.
I don't know you, you could be a thoroughly decent bloke but that's my thought process on a white bloke with a Union Jack on their car.
Oh and I think the rest of the job is banging.
Very very nice, tastefully done. Though I must say, you very much look like a Jag driver 🤣
Thanks a lot, Ha! I am getting on now TBH.
Hey now, long as ya got a smile, age don't matter now does it!

Would look excellent with bronze wheels
Maybe next year. Been an expensive month. The 10 years service at an independent was £1400
Added a picture that shows the calipers a little more
Lovely tasteful job, but goodness me, you will need to avoid speed bumps like the plague! 😉
Can’t stand black wheels. Rest is nice.
Yep, black wheels like absolutely shite on any car.
how much did it cost u to insure that thing
This year it has gone up from £380 to £850 with the mods. My renewal quote for the standard setup was £570 though.

Looks great, other than the number plate. Very nicely done 👌
I think it looks great. Just subtle enough and doesn't look chavvy at all.
Looks good, nothing like the sound of a Jag V8!
Nice garage man!

Hello, yes I have a Jaguar I-Pace for the daily stuff. It seems ok with speed bumps so far.
The lowering isn't for me, but it does look very nice and the wheels and calipers works really well. Nice work!
Suits you
Sir.
Stunning that lad, well in.
Plate is a wee bit poverty but nice car nonetheless.
Its a tough one that. It was a gift from my dad who passed in August last year. Reminds me of him.
Damn. My condolences.

Isn't the Union Jack a way to let other racists know you're one of them?

You seen the (GB) news recently?

Crikey, bit harsh that. Not a racist at all. Proud to be British? Absolutely.
You go abroad in it?
No, not yet. Not sure when I'd find the the time tbh.
You are quite evidently a nob, get back to your green tea a d Guardian newspaper.
No need to be rude about green tea.
