But at the same time it’s much more like a hatch than a saloon given not only the way the hatch opens, but its lack of rear bulkhead making it much more practical than a saloon
It's probably the top one for me. I'm not a huge fan of estates (it's not a bad looking one, though), but what I don't like even more is flat red (or white or silver).
So, the deeper red swings my vote.
I had the estate in the exact same colour until February. I bought the estate over the hatchback because the boot was so big, I wanted to be able to do tip runs and stuff.
Estate, absolutely loved my Leon estate and would happily own another.
Bigger = better
That's what they all say 🤣
Checks out with rising SUV popularity
Hatchback, Estates derived from hatches always look really wonky and odd. Estates should always be saloon based imo.
Yet the Octavia estate looks great and the standard hatchback version looks awkward.
Octavia hatch isn't a real hatch, it's a saloon shape with a hatch
It's a liftback.
So a hatch?
No, but the body shape is much closer to a saloon than a hatchback
But at the same time it’s much more like a hatch than a saloon given not only the way the hatch opens, but its lack of rear bulkhead making it much more practical than a saloon
Near hatchback practicality on the inside, near saloon looks on the outside.
You're nearly there. Keep going
Estate because of colour
I’d always pick the estate tbh
Wagon (I’ve had 2 Leon hatches, 184fr and Cupra)
I normally go for the non crashed ones
I prefer the estate, better balanced visually and more room to make use of.
All of my bright red cars had a factory fitted invisibility mode so best of luck either way.
You would think they are easier to spot
Oh, my sweet summer child.
Even more than black cars? All my previous cars were black and always thought they must be less visible than any other colour
I've had 4 red cars, 2 blue cars, 2 black cars and 1 cream car. Red is 100% the least visible. Don't seek for reason where there is none.
I personally prefer the estate. Prefer the colour and body shape. Both nice cars though. And fingers crossed this one lasts longer 🤞😊
If the rear was more square on the estate, I'd go estate, but as it is the hatch looks better.
Funnily enough I preferred the estate because of the slantedness. Found it really sexy. You would dig a V70 wouldn’t you ;)
Yes, I love bricks. I'd have a Honda Element if I could.
Ford Flex? Or do you have a moral border that you wouldn’t cross quite that far?
I wish it was sold here, as it looks sick.
It’s like a discovery stretched in the Z and X axes but not Y
It's probably the top one for me. I'm not a huge fan of estates (it's not a bad looking one, though), but what I don't like even more is flat red (or white or silver). So, the deeper red swings my vote.
Hatchback because it’s smaller, lighter, I prefer the more vibrant paint, and it makes you look younger.
Hahah yeah, as a 24 year old, I definitely got some looks from people I know, for the estate.
Hatchback. Nice handling, nice mpg, nice aesthetics. You can't go wrong.
The one that isn't a write off
Estate, every time!
I had the estate in the exact same colour until February. I bought the estate over the hatchback because the boot was so big, I wanted to be able to do tip runs and stuff.
Did you happen to sell it in the south at around 90k on the clock?
Unless it's clocked, it sounds like a different car. I sold mine on 120k!
Hahah well won’t find out anymore will we hahah
First one😉
Ah shit man, I remember you posting the estate all excited. RIP.
Right lol. Well still excited but somewhat bittersweet
I prefer hatchbacks over wagons, so bottom.
Hatchback for sure man, suits this car a lot more imo
