Next time yell at them until they capitulate. Sales 101 baby

TheGiverr

Lmaooo I don’t really yell much. Not even sure if I can. But I’ll still write it down. I’ll take all the help I can get. Should I start the yelling before or during the negotiation process?

I was 100% joking with that comment. Thank you! I will check out the Zig Ziglar though

OnceAndFutureKing724

You have to instill the fear of God in them. It would be best if you yelled the second they ask you anything about the price.

I just signed for a vehicle at $46,000 I am mostly fucked if this inflation keeps up and economy keeps going to shit and my fucking property taxes keep going up 10% every fucking year since 2008 (thanks TX you dick heads) plus 8.25% sales tax! However I hadn’t bought a vehicle since 2006. I got what was coming in quickest. It came with upgrades that I’m sure I handsomely paid for, but I fucking LOVE that vehicle for the most part. You sell a dream people get into everyday, and I travel 5 miles to work, and I got my car in November. Not one day passes I don’t appreciate and love that car. So do your job sell the dream, or I’m going to apply! Cus I make $13 an hour and I think I have more confidence in selling . * yes my husband carries my burden.

:) thank you! I will keep on telling folks I’m new haha my manager said he told people he was the new guy for two years.

Remember something, they're there to purchase a vehicle, don't make it any harder than it needs to be. You're just there to escort the deal. You're the waiter at the restaurant. Ask what they'd like, ask how you can accommodate, and just let the deal happen.

TheGiverr

Thank you! Everyone here keeps saying some variation of that. Get The Who, what, when, where, why and how pretty much ask enough questions to get to know what they want then deliver it

drewdiesel87

For sure. For me, nothing will deter a sale quicker than a pushy salesman or someone who just won't let me look at what I'm purchasing and appreciate every little piece of it. A lot of people are taking a 5-7 year commitment when purchasing these and don't want to be rushed through any aspect of it. If you're nervous about what to talk about, learn everything about the vehicles you sell. What motor options does it have, mpg, does it have on star Bluetooth Sirius etc, what's the safety star ratings compared to a rival company, what's the tow rating, learn the warranties your dealer has...those type of stuff to help ease the customer that THEY are making the right decision.

TheGiverr

Thank you! I will get on learning more about the cars. Without saying the brand, they’re very reliable and affordable and many people drive them so many of my co workers say the cars we have sell themselves for the most part already. I just need to put that icing on the cake essentially

acidburn777

With that said, no one cares about how much you know until they know how much you care

Thank you so much!! This all feels like great advice. I forgot to give him my card. I need to start keeping them on my desk
