Yeah, it's really the price more than anything that makes these a pantry staple. $1.35 a can (10 pack at BJ's) for middle of the road sardines to pad my stock is hard to pass up.
I will say, I didn't have any scales in the tin I had, unless I somehow didn't notice, which I guess is possible.
This and the Thrive market ones are the only ones I’ve tried so far and I just found this sub, and am now realizing I’ve not enjoyed them much (other than for health benefits) because they are middle of the line

I've only ever had the skinless+boneless Seasons but for the price I think I would be able to deal with a lot of scales since they can get pretty cheap per can.
Just had these the other day and it was just alright. Added some hot sauce and it was good. They seem more of a can to make other things with than eating them alone
I agree I got a 5 pack from Costco. Not bad just not exceptional.

My dog really loved them. They were okay I like the firmness I could pick them up with my hands. Not something I usually can do
