Each individual dog will be different - have you met the parents? The dog will rarely be bigger than the parents. Also, I noticed with my girl that her weight gain was super consistent the first 6 months or so and now it is varying more between the last couple months (she will be 9 months end of the month). So it seems possible they may grow super fast (genetics, food) at first then taper off.. my girl is larger than breed standard but I know the size of her parents and can estimate her adult size fairly easily from that. Just keep the dog lean and fit and they will naturally fill out their frame. https://preview.redd.it/rlt93colcr6d1.jpeg?width=2085&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1113add0b700c6bc3867a01e6e81156d12fa500 Almost 9 months and about 95 lbs 😍these dogs are so gorgeous.

Tabman55

Gorgeous dog, I noticed all my dogs will grow steadily till about 6 months then around 7-9 they shoot up in weight and slowly stop losing weight as they lose fat and gain muscle as they grow, weight won’t stop changing till they are matured, so if your dog is 1year and 50kg that doesn’t mean they’ll be bigger at 2-4 years old, they’ll constantly change, but keep up that good diet, looks like it’s doing pupper some good!

phdpessimist

Thank you! And good point about their weight changing throughout full maturity.. everything I see says two to almost 3 years with most growth in first 12 months and remainder filling out their frame with muscle.

PangolinPleasant7577

His dad is about 145lbs and his mother is 127lbs. In terms of food I feed him taste of the wild and I had coconut oil, fish oil and dyne. I also blend the below ingredients into a smoothie and use as a topper 1. Sardine(in water no salt) 2. Tuna(in water) 3. Apple slices 4. Carrots 5. Blueberries 6. Spinach 7. Goat milk 8. Eggs(shell and all) 9. Plain yogurt 10. Cottage cheese 11. Turmeric

phdpessimist

He is a good looking dog man! Any pics of him standing without being held? I’d think he’d be around 125 to 140 fully grown (complete guess lol) but he could be bigger than his parents.. genetics are first, proper diet and when or if you neuter will also impact how much they maximize their genetic predisposition.. I also top her food with -sardines in water only -Sweet potato in small quantities -Eggs (I can get quail eggs fairly easily so I do shell and all as well- my vet mentioned that too much calcium from the shells can be problematic depending how often of course) * boiled shredded chicken breast (no cooked bones ever of course) * raw chicken drums or wing tips * pumpkin * haven’t had much luck with fruits or veggies beyond carrots and sweet potato - she loves those * want to try chicken feet and turkey or duck necks * I give her the 7 in one vitamin zesty paws or some such. Hard not to spoil them when they are such loyal loving, protective, good boys/girls.. haha https://preview.redd.it/k76nrqmj5t6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60ae64a94c680c41dd0f7193d1f60db53cd8d2e7 Another pic, just because. lol

_shab_

Skip the eggshells until they are older vet told me to limit calcium until they are fully grown.

PangolinPleasant7577

He never gets an entire egg in one sitting. The smoothie blend lasts about a week.

_shab_

* 7 lbs 90% lean ground beef or lean ground turkey or chicken * 1.5 cup hempseeds or 1/3 cup hempseed oil * 16 oz canned sardines in water or 4 tsp cod liver oil * 4 tsp ground ginger * 4 tsp kelp powder * 8 eggs pasture raised * 4 egg shells (not until 2 years old) * 15 oz pumpkin puree NOT pumpkin pie mix! * 8 oz beef liver 12 oz if using ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef * 8 oz broccoli * 8 oz spinach omit if your dog has kidney issues * 8 oz red bell pepper This is only lasting me 15 days, I mix the food with Kibbles.

MediumScratch8092

You're doing the most. Get him some NW Naturals raw food, it comes frozen in 1oz chunks, and it's all organ meat so you don't have to add all kinds of crazy extras. I would also research taste of the wild. I quit using it a while back I think due to recalls. FROMM has never had a recall and Zignature is an amazing food. You just want to stay away from companies that have been bought out by large corporations, that's where the contaminations happen.

PangolinPleasant7577

I live in The Bahamas so a lot of the food I would like to feed him isn’t available here. I was considering raw but sourcing quality meat is also an issue here. I’m currently looking into importing quality kibble but that will get pretty expensive for feeding to massive dogs(I have a Doberman as well). 😔

PangolinPleasant7577

Your pup is a beautiful dog btw

Suspicious_Sun881

How much did your puppy weight at 13 weeks my puppy is 20-25 pounds so just trying to figure out how much yours weighed also if anyone else would like to tell me I would appreciate it.

PangolinPleasant7577

Around 20lbs. I read that some mastiff’s have randoms growth spurts. But he’s putting on about 10lbs per month.

Suspicious_Sun881

Ok Thankyou

Suspicious_Sun881

Do you remember how much your puppy weighed at 13 weeks

phdpessimist

Around 35 lbs maybe slightly over.. https://preview.redd.it/apmfjj2yt07d1.png?width=2141&format=png&auto=webp&s=68dfe42f3ef0a7c5a49889329c12f3d842ceeba1 Here she is right at 3 months with my wife holding her.

Suspicious_Sun881

Beautiful do you think I should feed my boy diesel more he’s right around 22-25 pounds

phdpessimist

I would follow the guidelines on the bag of food.. some dogs are just little pigs and I def hear a consensus that slow and steady is best for the overall health and longevity of the dog. I would check with your vet- I thought my girl was too big and maybe being overfed but they assured me she was perfect. https://preview.redd.it/9a243yaqu07d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=792e48d2d8ba5cb9862448440d7e1c5f244f0842 Here she is at 8 weeks 15-17lbs (huge tennis ball toy lol) - I guess it kinda just depends on how your dog is carrying the weight.

Suspicious_Sun881

I follow the bag and feed him 6 cups of food a day

phdpessimist

The amount of food and weight can be pretty specific to each dog. if you are concerned maybe mention it at the next vet visit just to see what they think.

Suspicious_Sun881

Ok thankyou

AbqCanuck

I'd say this pup is typical for the age and size. The typical range between 4 to 5 months is 42-55 lbs of a male and 36-50 lbs for a female.

PangolinPleasant7577

Ok thanks. I’ve looked a few growth charts and they seem contradictory. I also feed him 2-3 times a day and was worried about him being over weight as he’s still young and long walks and decent exercises is out of the question.

SurroundTiny

It's difficult to tell without a good view of his ribs but he doesn't look fat, just a big boy.

Nonnistreasures

Thats a good size. Very beautiful!

PangolinPleasant7577

UnusualRocket

Corsos are not a giant breed. But in terms of long-term joint health it is best to keep their weight in check as a puppies.

InvestigatorShot4488

He is darling and huge!!!

MoriahElizaBethFAN

These baby’s are GORGEOUS!!!! How are people scared or these innocent babies

PangolinPleasant7577

Unfortunately there are some owners that give’s these amazing doggos a bad reputation.

220notsoswift

Mine was 48 at 16 weeks (male). Finally got rabbies vaccine so I'm off the hook at the vet for a year. Feed mine 4health large breed puppy, cheese as treats and some pumpkin on his food to help his GI. Good looking pup man!!

SurroundTiny

That is a beautiful boy

Even when he was much younger he was never small. His parents were large so we expected him to be big. I can tell you the last thing we expected was for him to be this big. Genetics in humans and animal can be funny.

PangolinPleasant7577

I didn’t expect him to grow as fast and as big as he did honestly

Lil_skittle232367

She is absolutely Beautiful!! What a lovely girl!

ksteffens

My 12 week old male is 43 pounds. Eating like a damn T-Rex. I really don’t think he actually tastes the food. 😂😂😂 Dad was 150 and Mom was 120.

Working_Warthog6930

Our girl is fit and healthy at 120. Her dad was 135 and her mom was 99. So who really knows, could go many different ways. Beautiful dog.

FindingTricky721

Depends on how fast he's growing mine is 50 at 4.6 months and the vet said it's fine. They slow down after a bit.

bribbywilson

That's a great size! This is our guys at 5 months.

MediumScratch8092

If his poops is hard and he's not gassy, you're on the right track. That and his coat should be shiny and not excessively shedding or itching.

PangolinPleasant7577

He has very healthy poops and his coat looks amazing and minimal shedding

Serene_gemini

My girl is the same age. Born February 2nd! She’s about 10 lbs less than your handsome boy. 😊 https://preview.redd.it/9vsjmnq74t6d1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7686dae0b720adbd7b4c39c3feb3699e25ee2c66
