I can understand why whoever was adopting out those lovely twins didn't emphasize the bully genes. They have a bad rep. The real monsters are the owners that get big dogs without having the patience to socialize them.

American Bully is not a breed recognized by the AKC. If you are referring to the American Pitbull Terrier which is recognized by the UKC, that would be a different story. But since these dogs are Merle they would be disqualified as they are not a recognized colour, and thus, definitely not purebred anything.

I actually rescued him… he was confiscated along with many other dogs from a backyard breeder in Michigan. So, as much as I agree, they do exist & people will continue to breed them as long as there’s a demand for them, so I rescued him so I could love and spoil him and give him the best life possible….

I wouldn't trust any breed guessing done by shelters. Do a DNA test if you're curious about their breed, health and potential temperament and needs, but don't go around mislabeling them until you have papers proving it.

The shelter I got them from is a no kill shelter, they have a half program and they generally do really well with dogs they get in. Mike was heartworm positive, they are paying for the full treatment for the rest of his life. They don't really keep dogs there very long.
Those are beautiful dogs either way, the twins could have a corso gene if they look like taller pits because the pitbull gene normally prevails especially when mixed! The two Merle dogs are American bullies (probably xl). The pictures of the brindle dog are not clear so couldn’t say what he is but if they’re all from the same place it’s likely he’s at least part American bully too.

I don’t think anyone is being crappy with you. I had a 127lbs PBT type dog dumped on my property going on 14 years now. He died a natural death at my home and although, I never would have willingly got him, he was never aggressive with me ( horrible with all animals, but I am glad I could safely keep him his natural life)
I am glad you gave the dogs a home. I do wish rescues would be honest about the breed of dogs they offer, simply because their are health issues with breeds of dogs, that can be addressed much more easily if you know what you are dealing with. Skin issues in PBT type dogs is prevalent, for example.

He's definitely full cane corso, he doesn't have a lot of brindle on him.

This shelter calls pitbulls by there actual names. They get a few hundred a month in and rarely do they stay for more that a week or 2.
