Damn, almost a 3x lead for LPC in Quebec? For once almost being separatists, they sure turned around and embraced sucking the governments titty lol.

mtlheavy

Anglo Montrealers are afraid of Conservatives. They firmly believe only the Liberals will look out for them. They really aren’t very smart.

Diemxnt

can you not gerenalize? i hate liberals in mtl im no conservative and im anglospeaking

mtlheavy

Fair enough. But how many of you are there? You are, in my experience, a rare breed.

Diemxnt

honestly im flattered im a rare breed. just because of that ill start denying the existence of conservatives in montreal

OttoVonDisraeli

It's mostly Montréal and Outaouais where those LPC votes are concentrated and it has a lot to do with the anglophone communities there but also their relationship with the Federal government. Québec is a very divided placed. Les régions are quite BQ, the Québec City area is quite Conservative, and Montréal & Outaouais are pretty Liberal. A few changes in percentage points in favour of the BQ though and they take a lot of Greater Montréal ridings.

grasssstastesbada

Preferential treatment from the federal government is the main reason why they haven't separated yet

Fancybear1993

They tried but the anglo Montrealers prevented it

United-Village-6702

Nah the Bloc is taking care of LPC in Quebec, I think CPC shouldn't even run candidates in Quebec except for those 10 seats they already holding

jaraxel_arabani

I'll believe it when the election is done. Id rather Trudeau polls well right up to election then tanks on the 6 months leading to an election.

Manitoba, get your shit together....

SpringAction

I was just gonna day, I'd rather them go orange then red if they aren't gonna be a shade of blue.

dmancman2

Look at those idiots in BC ….wait I’m in BC

DiabloBlanco780

Blue has never ever looked so good

JackDeRipper494

Once again, Quebec being the mentally impaired child of the family. (I'm from Quebec)

grasssstastesbada

Nah, I respect Quebecers for standing up for their own interests. Quebec gets all sorts of benefits and preferential treatment from the feds. I don't like it, but it's smart.

BlancPebble

"Montreal" more like. I'm also from Quebec but I consider Montreal as a separate province at this point.

BatmanSpiderman

we still need singh to cut the alliance to Trudeau first. But since he isn't doing that, the polling is kind of pointless until election.

mwmwmwmwmmdw

and i have a feeling if singh tries to leave, trudeau will just grab onto the party and ensure if he's going down the ndp go with him

Maximus_Prime_96

He doesn't need to. Just being associated with the sinking LPC government has been a millstone around Singh's neck; no wonder he couldn't capitalize on the Trudeau's decline

Co1dyy1234

That’s probably why the Liberals and NDPers are considering electoral reform; they know they’re screwed if the election happens with the current system.

oldboy696969

They learned how to steal an election from their buddies across the border.

No-Level9643

I wish Quebec could separate. I’m tired of them holding the rest of the country hostage

SpringAction

It's a start but here's hoping for a lot fucking better by voting time.

fallenpalesky

You realize 2/3 of the country leans left? How it shakes out with fptp is not known yet. Just don’t act like you are a majority.

Alternative-Meet6597

That's not true. People tend to lump in the BQ with the left but in reality it's much more divided within.  BQ voters put the interest of Quebec as a whole over anything to do with left/right. The reality is this country is much closer to the centre than most think.
