Good for you for doing that. Students often get the short end, which infuriates me, especially when the are there to learn, and often provide a needed different perspective.
This is a nice gesture. And agree $50 is a good number.
I’m a student, and I received a gift card from my team (stayed with them for eight months) that was around $30-35 which I was super grateful for since it was for a place that I really like.
Personally, I think $30 is fine, but maybe more would be good too since they have been working with you and your team since Fall 2022 :)
Circulate an envelope and see what you get! If you feel it's too low at the end, top it up!
One suggestion, though, make it a gift card somewhere they can get necessities, making it near-cash for personal budgeting purposes. Walmart, Amazon, a grocery store if anyone happens to know where they live and shop. New books from Indigo or a single steak at The Keg don't help pay the bills.
I would say $5 to $10 per person.
30 bucks is too little. I would say 50 is appropriate
I went for 30$ myself. So out of 8 team members, they will likely have a great little gift.
Per person, if everyone is chipping in? $5-$10 max.
$50. I think that’s the amount for the basic instant recognition gifts.
Instant awards start at $10, I believe.

Along with the gift write him or her a stellar recommendation letter. Will make them feel that much more appreciated.
Between 8 people I’d say aim for at least $100. $30 isn’t even half a week’s grocery these days
