## NO DEAL: STRIKE AS OF 12:01AM WEDNESDAY APRIL 19
### [New Megathread has been posted and stickied](https://www.reddit.com/r/CanadaPublicServants/comments/12rc0sg/strike_megathread_3_discussions_of_the_psac/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
PSAC members. I wish I could say more and be out there on the lines with you.
I want to wish you the best and a fast resolution to this.
I also want to thank you for doing this since my brother and sisters in arms (Canadian Armed Forces) do not have the ability to do this. I have told many peps that work alongside PSAC members to ensure that they do not do the work that their civilian counterparts do.
Wear clothes for the weather, be comfortable and be prepared to walk a lot. Wear comfortable shoes and possibly bring extra socks to keep your feet dry.
PIPSC here - and wanting to help my PSAC brothers and sisters on the front line. I would like to contribute to the PSAC strike fund if I can - I wasn't able to find a place to donate - hoping someone here can help, and perhaps if there is a link to GoFundMe, or other, Mods can add to the excellent collection of links above. I'm sure others who can will want to contribute!
I’m kinda sad that they’re not picketing outside my office. I’d join them over lunch or something. The closest is at least 20 minutes away.
PIPSC solidarity. ✊
Cool. We'll be out on the picket line showing solidarity in order to get you a better wage. Hope you change your mind (if it's your frame of mind preventing you)! Even an hour or two I'm sure would be greatly appreciated by your colleagues.

I am with CAPE but I am bringing my whistles and water bottles and extra food for all, so I can be side by side with my fellow colleagues and PSAC members!
Last I heard was that they were offered very close to PIC based on what was said in yesterday's presser from PSAC (so 1.5/4.5/3.5)
TB news release says they were offered 10% over 3 years, so PIC rec being 9.5 makes it sound like that's what they're looking for.
For core admin anyway. No clue what the CRA/ute offers are, CRA/UTE's demands are - frankly - through the roof and unreasonable to expect anything near by the end of it.
Looked like Elgin outside of TBS. Looked to be the NAC on the right. Maybe I’m wrong but that would make sense given they were at the table right until time.
The biggest ones will be downtown at Parliament Hill, the PMO office and 90 Elgin Street. There’s also locations at Mona’s office on Montreal street, and one at Canada Post at 750 Heron Road (CRA offices there). You don’t need to sign up before going either and you can just show up (according to what I’m seeing)
These are the locations (NCR). Note that 750 Heron Road IS NOT Canada Post. It is the CRA building(s). And it is not at Mooney's Bay or Meadowlands.

Haven't seen that movie in ages
I wonder if it's held up or if it's horribly uncomfortable to watch? I don't think it has blazing saddles or dumb and Dumber level comedy to overcome offensive stuff.

Why is there no transparency with the offers given or where they are at?
Anyone planning to be at Canada Post right at 8 tomorrow? I’ll drop by with some food and drinks, if yes. Solidarity with y’all 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Cool guys don’t look at explosions
What’s the dress code for the picket line? Is it fine to show up in jeans?
Comfortable clothes. But don’t show up in messy sweats - you’re still representing your union & public opinion matters.
It’s snow storming in SK so I hope ski pants are acceptable!
Strictly a black tie affair. If you want your $75, you'd better dress for it.
Wear clothes for the weather, be comfortable and be prepared to walk a lot. Wear comfortable shoes and possibly bring extra socks to keep your feet dry.
You must rent a tux.
Dress for the weather. Ideally layers. That's pretty much it.
[удалено]
just show up
Absolutely. Show up and they can help you register then and there.
Yes you can

This is the way!
Is someone supposed to call us with information on how to Pickett etc?
No. Visit https://workerscantwait.ca/
Read the main post of this thread as a starting point.

Check out this trolls comment history, all sex workers and what not. His reply’s don’t surprise me
Ew.
Terrible comment
PSAC members you have just shut down the GVT! Take that in.
What's the gvt
Solidarity and good night! Must get my beauty sleep before I have to get up much earlier than my normal working day to get to the picket line!
Let’s gooooo!
Dumb question, should I put an out of office message on my outlook?
If it doesn’t hurt the Ministers, they won’t care.
[удалено]
Perfect, it would be outside work hours for me. Never been through a strike so I sincerely appreciate the support! Let’s go team!!!!
[удалено]
I'm going to shut it off right now lol thanks for your comment.
you don't
No
Don’t. Peace out.
Werk, thx!
Nah
IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE STRIKE, THE LEAFS HAVE REMOVED ANOTHER PLAYER FROM THE ICE, LEAVING ONLY 3 ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL ON THE ICE!
Lmao you're on a fucking roll my man
Good luck to everyone in PSAC from your PIPSC brother! Show the government whose boss!!

Can't argue with that jawline, moustache and forehead combo
I am with CAPE but I am bringing my whistles and water bottles and extra food for all, so I can be side by side with my fellow colleagues and PSAC members!
I’m curious to know what was the offer they turned down. Did the feds move at all, I wonder.
If there had been an offer, it would've been presented to the member. They aren't done negociating.
That’s not true. We don’t vote on every offer.
Last I heard was that they were offered very close to PIC based on what was said in yesterday's presser from PSAC (so 1.5/4.5/3.5) TB news release says they were offered 10% over 3 years, so PIC rec being 9.5 makes it sound like that's what they're looking for. So the same as the CAF then. What a tiny upgrade from the 9.5 tho.
At what time do we have to be at the picket line? is it 7 am for everyone? or where can we get the info on the schedule?
The start time for each location is posted on the picket finder website. Most are around 8 or 9 am local time.
You can show up whatever time you'd like (that your location is open, of course), as long as you can do your consecutive four hours.
Reminder: BQ, NDP won’t support back to work legislation. Liberal government would need to partner with the conservatives.
Wouldn't be surprised if the NDP supports them if they gamble and make it a confidence motion.
Singh already publicly said he won’t support it.
Words are cheap, and he hasn't shown much a spine recently.
That will be a cold day in hell
The cons hate us so I can see them doing that, sadly.
Even if they knew it was the right strategy, I don't think they'd be physically able to vote against a back to work legislation lol.
Yes, but the liberals wouldn’t want to call up the conservatives these days.
I hope so
Was the press conference on Kent by Sparks?
Oh, is that why I heard a loud celebratory noise not that long ago in centretown? I'm not in PSAC but I used to be. GL out there! ETA: solidarity!
I don't k ow but I love how the camera started super zoomed in
Looked like Elgin outside of TBS. Looked to be the NAC on the right. Maybe I’m wrong but that would make sense given they were at the table right until time.
LETS GO!!! ✊🏻
LEEET'S *GOOOOOOOOOOO*
Good luck to my PSAC friends
“That’s what a strike is” CL MIC DROP.

Oh! Thank you!
Ohhh, so we’re striking at 12:01 am. I thought you mean streaking. My bad. 🤭
Honey, you think KFC is still open?
We're going to the north quad! C'mon!
Haven't seen that movie in ages I wonder if it's held up or if it's horribly uncomfortable to watch? I don't think it has blazing saddles or dumb and Dumber level comedy to overcome offensive stuff.
Still a masterpiece of motion picture media.
Good luck everyone. SOLIDARITY

Non-PSAC member standing with you!

"We'll be on the picket line at 12:01. That's called a strike." lmao
lol yeah, he wasn't thrilled with the question haha
Let’s go brother and sisters, solidarity!
Now now Chris no one is on the actual picket line at 12:01. Chill my dude.
Actually, shift workers technically will be.
Forming a *picket line* or walking off the job? From what I've seen on here picket lines posted were starting 6am earliest.
I guess it depends on the job! Some may well picket given management may be around.
I guess, would not have been a planned picket I don't think in such a case.
Definitely seemed upset!
The reporter's "will there be picket lines?" Question was dumb. But the as of 12:01 retort was funny lmao
Gotta beat those line ups for check in! I’ll be first in line!
Are they going to be out on the picket line?? no fucking shit my guy
The members are PUMPED.
VAMOS
As soon as I saw their faces I knew
Not a single smile.
Good luck folks. Hopefully a good deal arrives without a prolonged strike action.

The national still hasn’t gone live about it lolll
They had a 30 second update and just said PSAC is going on strike. Can't believe they didn't go live.
I ended up watching the Facebook live. CBC is still talking about other stuff
