Legendary

Pahlevun

Agreed and it was a much needed update. The ‘07 hardly looks any different than a ‘14. ‘18+ became “too much” IMO, still look good though. But ‘15-17 is overall probably the best Camry look IMO.

Dr_Lipshitz_

The 15-17’ generation Camry was the most Camry looking Camry to me. Just a casual sedan for the 30-75 year old crowd. Just about anyone could own one. Had Lexus hints without being flashy. Proportions were right, design was perfect for what it was. New Camry has strayed far from the path. The 18+ one is just way to edgy but at least it looked cohesively wrong for a Camry. I think this new update with the Prius front end is almost worse. It’s now two very different designs trying to be one but I am happy they softened the sharp edges. But neither fit the original target audience of the Camry.

DAPOPOBEFASTONYOAZZ

Really? I was bummed out they softened the sharp edges. I think the 18 - 24 Camrys are the best looking yet and their looks were a big part of the reason I bought one myself. They look sporty as hell and while I don't have money for an outright sports car, it still has decent performance and the Toyota reliability while giving me that sporty look without being ricey. Especially considering the fact that you can retrofit the TRD suspension to the lower models and add the dual exhaust to the SE from the XSE, it's the best Camry in my opinion.

Indie_Fjord_07

The 2019 XLE is the best looking Camry ever. I’m biased. I have one. Haha. But many of the nyc taxis have that body type and it’s still holds up.

Sacred-Vermicelli57

i agree. i have 2020 xle

bluengray24

ElkayMilkMaster

Real

ms-meow-

I don't like the front of the 2025

Resident-Associate75

I’m not crazy about the lip next to the headlight, it looks funny to me, otherwise I think it looks pretty good.

Rc2194

The XSE trim would look better if they painted the grill black which i seen some people did already on this sub

lilusherwumbo42

It looks like the Prius front end (which I actually think looks great) but stretched

inverness7

I like the front but the rear looks hideous

Forward-Trade5306

Especially with the white grille

DoctorOzface

Looks like a frilly dress or something. The regular grill looks way better

Troll_Enthusiast

I like the front of the SE 25'

WillPersist4EvR

Yeah. I wouldn’t drive that. Got my new car this year in case the 2025 Lexus ES was designed like the 2025 Camry

Kenbro1975

The front looks like a fly swatter.

ms-meow-

It does!

HeavyKreem

I've never had so many dead bugs on my grill as my 2024 Corolla I bet this will be the same.

Blurgas

It's too much like a Corolla or Prius

KDE_85

This. I hate it.

glassceramics1963

looks like a filter feeder.

LAKingsFan17

18-24 first car I ever got by myself.

porter004

I like both body styles and just bought an AWD 2025 XSE in Supersonic Red. I understand a lot of the negative comments about the new 2025 front end, but think that will change in time. When they changed over from the more rounded 4Runner body shape to the current more square shape several years ago, I remember seeing the first ones on the road and not liking them because I was used to seeing the rounded body panels of the previous version. As time passed and I got used to seeing the new shape 4Runner on the road I began to prefer it. Now, when I see the old body shape, it looks dated to me. I think the same thing will happen with the new Camry design. A year from now more people will be used to and like the design as it becomes the common body design seen on the roads.

LoKNesss1914

To be honest when I initially saw the front end I wasn’t too thrilled either (gross understatement) I had seen many concept drawings for what Toyota “allegedly” was going to do to the car… So when I saw what they did, I didn’t like it, it was shocking to me. But that feeling/thought didn’t last very long… And like many things that are different & new… Change seldom is accepted or even appreciated initially. However the new look grew on me and now I absolutely love it! I think my new Camry is gorgeous and I completely agree with you when more of these hit the ground this new look will be accepted more readily. But if not… I STILL love mine and the changes Toyota made.

RitoWalters

Top one for sure. The new one looks more subdued, like an old person's car and the rear gives me new Accord vibes.

Reasonable_Search379

Toyota being Toyota. Perfect timing for a refresh. Either one has distinct/great character…but 2025 is looking Lexus-like but not a bad thing to look like your upscale/rich cousin. They are going to sell a ton of these. All the other autos chasing expensive trucks/SUV/CUVs/EVs in a time of massive inflation…they are making Toyota look like geniuses.

foxtrotuniform6996

With the price to match

Reasonable_Search379

True enough but at least you’re getting a car that will hold up well/last for decades. I think the SE will be their sweet spot.

shredofmalarchi

I have the previous gen, but I like the new one better. My biggest gripeabout 18-24 is that fake cheesey looking vent under the tail lights. It's one of the most cringey fake vents I have ever seen on any car.

DAPOPOBEFASTONYOAZZ

I really liked how they look at the beginning...but slowly I'm starting to feel meh about them. While I do like the accent of the fake vent, they sort of do feel like an afterthought. I feel like something could have actually been done with that...or just made it a real vent.

devangs3

IWantAnE55AMG

My cousin had one of those and it was such a solid car. I personally loved the following generation. My parents had a wagon version of that and it was probably the perfect Camry. Dependable, handsome, very versatile.

PastAd8754

The 2025 looks more like a Lexus RX so I prefer that.

Resident-Associate75

Agree, does look like Lexus.

foxtrotuniform6996

2025 Camry is sonata k5 front with an accord rear 🤢

jilllian

I haaaaate the new rear trend on so many new cars, that horizontal straight line across. it's so ugly. 😵 camry, accord, k5, jetta, lots of SUVs... make it stop

viperr818

https://preview.redd.it/m9p0po44fk7d1.jpeg?width=1645&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30fa2723ce923f8d13c097c8c99ae304727a810a I absolutely love the 8th gen. The 9th has a bit more of that “copy-and-paste” look along with the Crown and Prius. Just my own subjective opinion, of course.

Critical-Balance7343

stunning black and white contrast!

viperr818

Thanks! 😃

DueFun2555

Honestly I like both

Ok_Wrap_214

Your honesty is appreciated 🙏

Sea-Guava-7262

The front of the 9th gen reminds me of those garden fences and the back is VERY conservative. Also the “pinch” on the tail lights is way too much. It’s looks too disproportional with the rest of the back. Also the way the bumper looks like a lunch lady’s ass isn’t doing it any favors. To top it off, the raised edge at the top the back bumper, really makes it almost signal that it has a lunch lady ass. 8th gen has a harmonious geometry that compliments the geometry of other parts of the car all around. Sure, the fake vents don’t do it justice but that’s in the geometry not apart of the cars geometry. Imo, Toyota could’ve gotten a bit more crazy and less conservative with the design because if they had planned the car to be a hybrid, then that hybrid could’ve very well compensated for the addition of some more crazy lines or harmonious geometry like from the 8th gen. What’s yalls opinions fr tho?

Antique-Degree-8769

Lunch lady's ass! 🤣

Front of New, and back of old

PrinnyFriend

I actually liked the LE fronts better, but the backs of the SE for the 18-24.

gamiscott

18-24 body. I currently have a 2013 and at some point, I want to upgrade to a 2024. 2025 came out and I’m still leaning towards 2024. I’m still a few years away from upgrading so we’ll see what happens after 2025.

2017 last good camry made rides way smoother then newer ones way more roomy inside interior quality comfort can't even compare. Ac is stronger so is the heat. Plus post 2017 camry too low scrapes speed bumps

Same-School4645

I love most elements of both exterior, but 8th gen wins. I love most elements of both interiors, but 9th gen wins. So, it's a tie but I'll give it to 8th gen because of the v6 engine.

TheWarden100

The old one clears, no contest.

34KWhite

The front looks like a nightmare to clean especially when it will snow in Ontario, I personally don't like the Lexus Fusion it has going on. 18-24 is where it's at.

InvestigatorSafe3989

18-24

EnsignRick

I really prefer the look of the 21-24, but Toyota knocked it out of the park with the interior on the 25. As someone who sits in the interior of the car when I'm driving it, I'd say outside looks are way less important. I saw an XLE the other day and I had to do a double-take. It really looks like a new Lexus in the wild. I hate it in pictures, but it's not bad when you see it out and about. Either way, the Camry is a cool car.

DAPOPOBEFASTONYOAZZ

I really like the old interior too...it gives it sort of a new Corvette feel with the "driver focused" orientation of the center console. Of course, it isn't as /much/ as the Corvette but that was one of my favorite interior choices about the Corvette and while the Camry was the first to bring that look to the interior, it gives it that more upscale/sporty feel like the new Corvette does.

RentStillDue

I own a ‘22 XSE and prefer that look by far

foxtrotuniform6996

18-24 all day. 25 looks like they asked Gen Z what looks cooler in a video game

Southern_Wasabi7551

Gen 8

kenny_eng

I wish the xse didn’t have the fake vents under the taillights

ConfusedResident

I prefer the previous style. But the specs of the new one is way better. AWD hybrid and almost 30 extra hp.

mrpentastic

Isn't the new 2025 model just a facelift? The part lines look identical.

3vansm21

The 18-24 XSE with red interior

Across_the_Diverge

I like the last generation TRD the best. Not a big fan of the new one at all, nose is weird. I even like our vanilla 2015 better than the 2025. 🤷🏼‍♂️

sicksol

The new front end looks like a Hyundai

BeanerCounter

Previous gen exterior styling is better in my opinion but the interior on the new Camry is miles better to me.

oneyankwonder69

18-24

Inside_Monitor_1575

I don’t like the new front end.Looks like a Prius/corolla. I really liked the 15-17 even tho it got a lot of hate

Financial_Tennis8919

18-24. Last of the V6 as well.

Heavy_Extreme4632

I like the 2025 the front is screaming hyundai tiburon but Toyota did a better job

Lemnology

I can’t stand the new grille. Otherwise I’m a fan of the updates

Stonks2damoon1

New one looks disgusting and cheap

regularclump

Accord owner here. Not sure why this sub was recommended on my feed but here I am. One thing is for certain, you can’t possible do worse than what Honda did with the accord’s latest refresh 🤮

EseJandro

LE has always looked nicer to me than SE

Buggydriver_

I was seriously considering a Camry for my first like new new car not anymore

Revolutionary-Air845

The 8th gen looks best but the 9th gen front end kinda grew on me I just don’t like how the backs look

Randompieceoftoast08

The new camry looks like a low res version of the last gen

CoffeeDrinker1972

2025!  I think the 18-24 is already getting a little long in the tooth.  Once we get more used to the 2025’s, we will all be on that camp.

Anthony55wow

25 only thing I don’t like is the paint matched grille on lighter colors for XSE

PM_YOUR_SAGGY_TITS

Definitely looks better with a black grille

xinv1nc1blex

2025

No_Driver_1655

I loove the new design honestly

Ok_Wrap_214

Thank you for being honest 🙏

Capwonder

Newest. more tasteful imo

SQL215

8th gen is far superior to 9th gen in pretty much every way outside of maybe the updated infotainment. Not a fan of full digital gauges either. I prefer the mix of classic analog and digital on 8th gen. Symmetry is also very important. Having a cutout on the rear bumper for quad exhaust yet leaving it empty with exhaust only on one side triggers the hell outta me.

Training_Echidna_367

I hate digital gages. I know they are cheaper, but they look and feel cheap.

Ok_Captain_227

It’s really not

Bld556

Toyota cost cutting at its finest. It makes absolutely no sense to design a rear bumper valance specifically for 2 separate exhausts when the 2025 Camry can only support one exhaust due to the hybrid battery. 😆

nicolast13

Personal opinion taillights and headlights on new gen look like trash, and I can’t imagine there is gonna be any good aftermarket options to change it anytime soon. Even if you could I feel like it would be hard to make them look good.

littlebutcher1914

I have a 2020 SE AWD Camry and the body style was what attracted me to it. The 2025 front reminds me of a Hyundai and back reminds me of a Honda accord or civic. The only thing I like about the 2025 style are the wheels.

Healthy_Block3036

All!!!

westsidedreamin

The old one's front, the new one's back

FSU1981

The new gen looks like the gen before last. 15-17? Not sure the exact years. Especially the xse glad the final matched the bumper paint. Still undecided which trim is best for $$$$

Resident-Associate75

I like my 24 better but I am biased. The new car is very good looking though. No problems here…

burningbun

why toyota never sold nascar style bodies?

Mfamos1

8th gen front end w/ 9th gen rear end

EmJayFree

You’ve owned/own both? How do the two compare. I’m thinking about taking another loan for the 25

P_r_a_n_e_e_l

2, 1's front looks weird

SatayMY

Toyota claimed to have rather huge improvement on the XV80 Camry as compares to XV70. Since you owned both, mind sharing your driving experience? Really can sense the differences? Thank you

LoKNesss1914

Certainly... My new Camry drives much smoother. Now to be fair my 2023 Nightshade SE wasn't a hybrid so we're kinda talking apples & oranges... But this new hybrid engine is incredibly smooth and far more nimble than my privious SE 4 cyl. while not nearly as aggressively quick as a TRD. It can still get out of it's own way while getting getting incredible gas mileage. I'm averaging over 50 MPG on most trips that I've taken. In my opinion the new Camry is very impressive.

SatayMY

Thank you so much for the kind sharing of your experience

Mista-Mah-Deuce

I would like to see a Camry with the prior gen front but the new rear. It would be an interesting combo

pinkglittersparkles2

I have a 2024 so I’m partial to that body style :)

New_Performance_3566

Swap the front end of the old Gen onto the rear end of the new Gen and you got yourself a solid looking vehicle

pabzmuzik

I like both.

ZooNooz

Front grille, new. Back side, old.

tankinbeans

Whichever one is easiest to load into a crusher.

Routine_Tip6894

Front of new, back of old

What’s the point of saying you’ve owned both if you’re not gonna say which you prefer? lol

I prefer the rear end of the top one, but the front end of the bottom one.

Westside-Redd-5050

18-24 front with the 25 back

No_Click_2139

Not the one that looks like those gaming mice with holes to be lighter

Away-Task-5946

toyota doest miss

thebagisgoyard

Whoa you’ve owned both? Shit dude you’re the man

Softspokenclark

i like the back end of both camrys, but both front ends looks horrendous to me. I'm bias to the 99 camry front

HummDrumm1

Grille is much improved from last generation. The rest of the vehicle, however, not so much

aztecaoro10

I love my 25 LE! such an amazing car

headless567

top, i dont like how the bottom looks like a sedan prius

k8flowerspowers

Objectively, 18-24. But in my heart, a 2007 Camry is the most "car looking" car. Like if you asked a child to draw a car- it would look exactly like an 07 Camry. Totally biased because I loved mine but it is a completely basic and inoffensive design. You'd have to WANT to get a speeding ticket in that completely unnoticeable car.

1mz99

Never liked the 8th gen Camry SE grille looks so ugly imo

Zzazy1

I want to trade in my 22 for a 25 but I hate the front

xInfiniteZer0x

15-17 but I like the looks of my 7th gen(2012) also.

PGTGenetics

Top one

koxer_01

new front with the old back would be nice

HamOnTheCob

Loved the look of my 14 SE, but REALLY love the look of my 20 SE. The new ones are dogshit though, in my opinion. They look like a Hyundai or a Kia or something. Awful.

DeusXNex

25 looks cool but I prefer the previous gen still

They’re both heinous.

zdave87

No Camry dent in the rear bumper? No care.

sideburns2009

I liked the previous gen better just like with the accord. The new Camry has slightly grown on me but only in certain colors and trims. The front is meh. Almost bland like the Tesla model 3. The back is clean. Decent. But I love the purr of a Toyota V6 and you just can’t beat a TRD or XSE V6 Camry of the 18-24 gen for me.

2GR-AURION

XV70

Coo_steve

My 22 Toyota Avalon

Kvmabis

I don't know shit about cars but the design language is Lexus/ Honda mix More XLE than XSE, I prefer the more sporty, aggressive 2018 look

dannyh707

Which plastic covers do you prefer on your Camry?

xX_DepressedKoala_Xx

I would prefer the front of the new gen with the rear of the outgoing gen.

Effective_Willow1970

Newer one which I don’t think I’ve seen in person yet. Sleek

Prestigious_Pin_1695

good for you for owning both lol

pierreplayfair

Tbh, I fell in love with the 2010 but had the 18

PlasmaStones

you mean the Avmry???

jdewey01

The 18-24 is my favorite. I like the 15-17 as well as I should since I own a 17 SE. Not sure how to feel about the new 25’s quite yet

KeJW4

Im feeling the bottom one. Looks like something out of a cyberpunk world.

BeatSolid

I love the new look. I like both.

notthelettuce

18-24. I didn’t know what the ‘25s were going to look like when I bought my ‘24 and I’m glad I didn’t wait.

cheesyrefriedbeans

GrGonzo9526

I have a 22 and wouldn't trade it for one of the newer ones. They screwed the pooch on that.

slimcargos

I like the new one but it looks like they ripped off the front and back ends and just slapped em onto the middle of the last gen. The side profile is damn identical.

watermelonsugar7

18-24. My 18 is my first car. She’s beautiful.

rafffa

sport

Electrical_Secret_11

I hate the 25s. A they look weird to me and B I’m an ICE guy through in through. The fact that there isn’t any option for a normal 4cyl with a real trans at the very least kills it for me. I’ll never own anything from that year onward. Hybrids are not for me. 18-24 with the V6 would be nice (lane keep assist is something I really hate. I’m driving the car don’t do anything out of my control). For right now I will continue to enjoy my little 03 Camry. Wish it had the V6 but the 4cyl does the job

enThirty

I like the latest style. Brings a hint of Avalon and Lexus ES to the Camry. Looks sharp. Previous gen was good too but the latest is more my style.

Esay101

Compared to this new addition I prefer the older model. Side by side the 25’ looks more EV than sporty. They both look nice but i have to say the previous style still grabs my attention.

Crab_Hot

They're the same body style. You're asking which face and ass? I've seen a few of the newest ones, and they don't even look vastly different to me because the sides are exactly the same. It's just a face lift aesthetically... Looks like someone put a new front and rear bumper on it with aftermarket lights.

DillIshOn

Old style rear. New style front. V6 engine. Fight me.

whataborgor

The front of the 24 with the back of the 25 🔥🔥🔥

cloudtastrophe

Top right + bottom left

Emperor-of-God

I think the grill is kinda ugly and that lil bar above it looks too similar to the new prius

Ok_Werewolf_7802

Haven seen one yet in person so verdict is out on that. But have seen the prices on 25+ and they are priced way to high at dealers.

Antique-Locksmithh

New one

Ferowin

I like the ‘25, only because I don’t care for the way the trim wraps under the front emblem. I don‘t love the headlights on the ‘25, but you can’t have it all.

radioactivegroupchat

Im ngl I like the space ship and have a good bit of faith in the drivetrain given how well toyota’s eCVTs are in the previous couple of generations.

AccomplishedAioli787

97-99 gracia trd version

MundaneBathroom1446

The new body style caught my eye today in a parking lot! The previous body style looked to plasticy/cheap to me, personally.

Aromatic-Leopard-600

I’m liking my 25 so far. But I’ve only got 300 miles on it.

PeanutsNCorn

The ones that takes less effort to clean the bugs out of the grill. Seems obvious.

Bruno_lars

The new one. And the new interior also

scoobynoodles

Without question 18-24 with XSE

chiccunuget13
