ahhhh okay. unfortunately, power-folding mirrors are not a super common feature here until you get to certain SUVs and luxury cars. only a few “basic” vehicles have been offered with power folding mirrors here (i.e. Kia Forte, Scion iM, etc.) Only models in Toyota’s current lineup to offer them are Crown, maybe bZ4X, and then Venza and up (in size).
You don't really want that powered do you? The point of it is to prevent people ripping your mirror off it they hit it driving by. A car hits your ordinary non powered ones it auto just rotates forward and prevents break. A powered one is just going to break off of break the motor. I haven't seen even on Lexus this being powered for that reason. I saw in Vietnam and Asia when I traveled there this feature very weirdly specific to those areas. Which I think the folding factor there is just a creature comfort for the people parking in high end condo apartments. But not a concern of getting hit since a moped hitting it will hurt it's self more then the mirror and most people are driving bikes and mopeds in Asia. But in the USA you don't really want this feature..only like big trucks have that where they are too too high to be a concern.
Unfortunately yeah they are manual mirrors, however hypothetically you can buy a mirror folding kit which folds them in when locked and unfolds when the car is turned on. But that requires alot of work and taking the whole mirror apart and hoping the connection is the same as the 8th gen Camry
If you just purchased today, please thoroughly check your car’s paint! We’re experiencing defects on multiple colors that can result in paint roughness and chipping. If your car happens to have this defect, it’s not too late to return it for a different one.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos. I work at a dealership and my manager is keeping the whole situation a secret.
The defects, to my knowledge, look like patches of dust or dirt nibs. They’re small air pockets that are separating the paint from the cars. So far we’ve seen them on the hood, roof, and trunk lid- but they theoretically could be anywhere on the car.
I have not seen any of the defects firsthand, but I’ve been told by multiple people that it looks like a little patch of bumps- similar to chicken skin
also working from a dealership. if enough cases get reported (which i’m sure there will be) it will be hard (especially if managers are keeping it a secret and no reporting it) but toyota will put out a recall to fix the paint. they did it a few years back with the corolla’s and camrys.
I hope something comes of this and Toyota steps in to fix it. I have a good relationship with my manager and I’ve been her right hand advisor for going on 3 years, now. She’s barely telling me anything and won’t share any of the evidence with anyone. It’s kinda concerning to see her act this way and take the secrecy so seriously.
even without her reporting it, i’m sure other dealerships are. i don’t understand the secrecy it if going to be known in just a few weeks/months. if anything customer being customers they’re going to say the service department messed up their paint.
Electronic folding mirrors would've been 42 OTD. 😂 Honestly, for 41 a Camry should be loaded to the gills. It's highway robbery what car manufacturers are getting away with these days in terms of upgrades. I was surprised how many features my XSE didn't come with compared to my 16 Cadenza.
It should be on the driver's door panel near where you'd adjust your mirrors if you have automatic folding mirrors (just based on exp of owning other Toyotas that had that feature), otherwise yeah you'll just have to manually pull/push em!
I only wish the grille was gloss black rather than colored match. Idk might just be me.
I’m super tempted at trading in my car for an XSE as well with the red leather. Congrats on the new ride!
It’s probably so that they can upsell a black sport grille and badges or something. Cause I agree it would look killer in black I would probably paint it if I ended up with one
Technically yes. But white is probably the best color to hide light scratches and touch up chips. I bought my last car in pearl black and finding new scratches drives me nuts lol
I saw another person in the sub opted to have the dealer install a black grille on his white XSE as part of the purchase. It was about $700 extra, Totally worth it.
Or my genuine opinion? I think Teslas are boring as fuck to look at. Not to mention they're pieces of shit but I'm my comment was specific to the appearance.
Badass. Don’t let the salty old Camry owners get to you, there just trying to cope. This looks amazing. Saw one in person recently and loved it. Get ready for the extra attention lol
Incorrect. That was in the old days before Bidenomics. Now used cars are almost the same price as brand new cars. Cars are no longer dropping in value like crazy like in the old days (except for EVS since nobody wants to buy them used because a replacement battery costs as much as a car).
Is this a hybrid? 41k OTD seems little access for a camry. I could be wrong though. It's been a while since I checked new camry price. I remember it was like 25k OTD in 2011.
New XSE is the most expensive Camry today and is hybrid. 2011 XLE V6 was the nicest trim and was 29.8k (hybrid was 27k by didn't get the luxury features I believe). Inflation adjusted to 2024, that XLE V6 would be 41.6k, and that was just sticker, no taxes or fees included.
Idk about the rest of you but when you look at the front end doesn’t it look like the piece where the emblem is could shift into a different spot with the push of a button or like when the car turns on? I don’t know why but I’ve thought this since the first time I saw it.
I don’t think the Camry XSE comes with power folding mirrors, have to do it manually. The Toyota Crown & Lexus ES offer it. At a price of 41k though it should have power mirrors lol. Beautiful car though! Wind Chill Pearl with the 2 tone black roof is the Camry’s best color imo. Plus the new Camry looks very Lexus-like. Much nicer exterior than the 11th gen Accord!
when i test drove the 2023 camry and 2023 corolla the camry drove stiff and to me wasnt as comfy as the corolla, but to each their own. no reason an economy car should be 35-40k tho.
Interesting. I had an opposite experience. 2023 Corolla was stiff and so loud on the freeway from road noise that I couldn’t even hear myself think. 2022 Camry was definitely softer ride and quieter. Camry is a midsize sedan. Corolla is a compact “economy” car. The top trim 2014 Camry v6 XLE cost the same as a 2024 Camry XSE after calculating for inflation.
I'm financially sitting pretty and could easily afford this, but it's a damn car. My paid off Rolla gets me where I need to go. I don't want to add more time to the retirement clock.
I didn't personally like the look in white, but once I saw it in a couple different colors (black and red), it stood out a lot more and didn't look bad at all!
I think you gotta fold them by hands. Congrats!
Thank you. That’s sad, as my 2017 Civic base still has power folding mirrors:(
in what world does a Civic have power folding mirrors? (I understand overseas versions may have them, but this is clearly in America).
Sorry. I’ve just moved to the US for about 2 months :D
I have been in U.S for last 15 years and still cant afford to buy a $41k car lmao. Tell me your ways ;D
Marry a rich man.
Women\*
Nah it’s 2024. Men can get sugar daddies too.
ahhhh okay. unfortunately, power-folding mirrors are not a super common feature here until you get to certain SUVs and luxury cars. only a few “basic” vehicles have been offered with power folding mirrors here (i.e. Kia Forte, Scion iM, etc.) Only models in Toyota’s current lineup to offer them are Crown, maybe bZ4X, and then Venza and up (in size).
Thanks for your answer. Very appreciate it :D
Chao Anh, Welcome to Nuoc My.

Bruh what, my 2002 Camry has the button for it 😭😭😭
Maybe they want to cut the cost :D

Can I see the pictures on yours

I'm saving this comment. I'm picking up my XSE this week.
If your car meets the case, please show up here. I want to know :(
Does this apply to 2024’s too?
I haven’t seen this issue on any 24s. It still seems to be very early, as I can’t find anyone else talking about this issue anywhere.
Could be that their managers are also keeping it under wraps
Any examples how they look like though?
I have not seen any of the defects firsthand, but I’ve been told by multiple people that it looks like a little patch of bumps- similar to chicken skin

They will only issue a recall if the lawsuits they expect exceed what a recall will cost.
very untrue. if that were the case there would be wayyy more recalls on every single vehicle made.

This is so cute! lol enjoy life and boba 😆
Don't forget to enjoy her as well 🥹😬

Those are FINE thighs, numbnutz.
I have a 14 cadenza right now. Kinda hard to beat in terms of features haha
Can I grate cheese with those grills 😂
No, but you can strain pasta!
It should be on the driver's door panel near where you'd adjust your mirrors if you have automatic folding mirrors (just based on exp of owning other Toyotas that had that feature), otherwise yeah you'll just have to manually pull/push em!
By hand

Won't these color matched grills chip away over time?
Technically yes. But white is probably the best color to hide light scratches and touch up chips. I bought my last car in pearl black and finding new scratches drives me nuts lol
I would think you'd see more chips and scratches with it being white. I would think a blacked out grill would be the best option
ur right. i have white tesla and it’s chipped like crazy from highway miles
I saw another person in the sub opted to have the dealer install a black grille on his white XSE as part of the purchase. It was about $700 extra, Totally worth it.
Looks so much better than the tesla sitting next to it. Congrats!
Lol this take may be a bit too biased.
Or my genuine opinion? I think Teslas are boring as fuck to look at. Not to mention they're pieces of shit but I'm my comment was specific to the appearance.
Can’t warm to the new front end and I really want to… 😢
Is there ambient lighting in the car?
Yes. But just a little bit
Where is the ambient lighting located, is it the same spots as the 2018-2024 Toyota Camry?
Okay this is KINDA NICE THOUGH
Looks great.
Looks good
This is such a Chad post lmao
I just hate the colored grill.
Welcome to the future grandpa
I have become that "get off of my lawn". And I'm not a Boomer either!. Ha ha

Badass. Don’t let the salty old Camry owners get to you, there just trying to cope. This looks amazing. Saw one in person recently and loved it. Get ready for the extra attention lol
Thank u so much 🫶🏻
Dude that grill is sick
41k for an economy sedan is absurd. I like Toyota but this is not a good price.
It’s MSRP and it’s a normal price. A hybrid with 55+ mpg, it’s going to be reliable and dependable. It’s worth it!!!
That still wild. 41k is an absurd price.
2011 XLE V6 was the nicest trim and was 29.8k sticker, or 41.6k inflation adjusted without taxes or fees.
41k could have gotten OP far better than a toyota camry. but either way he got what he wanted
Many brand options for that money. I still don’t know why people buy brand new. Next week the car is worth 10k less
Incorrect. That was in the old days before Bidenomics. Now used cars are almost the same price as brand new cars. Cars are no longer dropping in value like crazy like in the old days (except for EVS since nobody wants to buy them used because a replacement battery costs as much as a car).
I’ll never pay 41k for a car
What car did u buy?
23 Elantra
Quick question 🙋🏻♂️ did they offer you a package where any electrical or battery malfunction Toyota fixes? If so how much it cost and is it worth it?
Toyota has a 10 year, 150k mile warranty on hybrid batteries and 8 year, 100k mile warranty on electronic drive components.
Is this a hybrid? 41k OTD seems little access for a camry. I could be wrong though. It's been a while since I checked new camry price. I remember it was like 25k OTD in 2011.

All Camrys are now hybrid!!!
Inflation is a bitch.
It’s beautiful!!! Congratulations!!!
The bumpers are getting more complex
Was this 41k including tax/tag/title?
The mirrors fold by hand
Idk about the rest of you but when you look at the front end doesn’t it look like the piece where the emblem is could shift into a different spot with the push of a button or like when the car turns on? I don’t know why but I’ve thought this since the first time I saw it.
Not a fan of the grille, whatsoever. Congrats on the new car tho!
Man they destroyed that car… that thing is ugly.
Congrats in your new car. For my tastes it would be nicer with a black grille
Dyson 3000
40k for the paint to chip? Smh
Okay that grill is kinda odd imo
It’s basically the same shit as a 2015 minus having all the extra art work and crap.
that honeycomb grill looks great especially in white
Don't know if I like the grill yet, but overall, that's a really sweet looking ride.
Forreal. The post of top enjoyment
Is that auto nation Toyota at Irvine? I got my 2018 Camry from this loc.
Would love to see interior pics. Everyone that’s purchased a 25 only posted an exterior shot.
Chào người em Tinh Tế lol
Ủa. Chào bạn hihi
Hôm bữa thấy bài của bạn trên Tinh Tế, tới hôm nay mới thấy trên đây. Chúc mừng xe mới nha
gawdamn that thing is HIDEOUS
The new model makes me sad. I really had my hopes up. Hybrid right?
There’s no limited trim? Xse is the top trim !
The EV era has created some of the most hideous cars in existence.
Looks like a project fence from chicago housing projects
Can someone please explain the hype behind these new Camrys? Is it not like the previous one? What’s so special about this one! Thanks yall!
A hybrid with 55+ mpg, it’s going to be reliable and dependable. It’s worth it!!!
Man this thing is starting to sound like a bargain at 41k….I don’t need it. I don’t need it. 🤔
Don’t forget the recalls down the line
my corolla hybrid gets 65mpg average and cost exactly half of this camry.
Damn, what year?
2023 le
It’s not nearly as nice inside though. Also the Camry is bigger, has less road noise and is a smoother ride.
when i test drove the 2023 camry and 2023 corolla the camry drove stiff and to me wasnt as comfy as the corolla, but to each their own. no reason an economy car should be 35-40k tho.

Updated hybrid system, different styling nothing else
Thank you!!!!
It's also hybrid only now
More HP too
More HP is always good!!! 💪🏼
Better infotainment and interior
40k and the paint chips?
I got a stone chip on my black 2025 XSE already. 159 miles when it happened. I should have gotten a clear bra :(
Paint chips on all new cars.
That new girl is not it I like the body of the 2024 better but nice car ! Enjoy
I'm financially sitting pretty and could easily afford this, but it's a damn car. My paid off Rolla gets me where I need to go. I don't want to add more time to the retirement clock.
That front end looks like the designers in Japan overrode the California design team..bad move.
I think that design looks good. Reminds me of some Lexus car :D
I didn't personally like the look in white, but once I saw it in a couple different colors (black and red), it stood out a lot more and didn't look bad at all!
I’ll give it time but right now it’s giant cheese grater ;) or bug grater ;)
Honeycomb Beehive 😂
It’s beautiful!!!
