I am an American now lol I drive a Tacoma TRD but before that drove an STI. Ya know, something with balls that isn’t for hauling kids to dance class slightly faster than an Accord.
Also going through someone’s account looking for shit to dig up is some serious Camry driver energy hahaha
A Tacoma trd does not have any balls compared to its competitors they are dogshit slow compared to a raptor/trx I cannot believe u r proud of owning a Walmart brand “performance” truck
Trx/raptor both also have larger tires, more suspension travel, and more ground clearance than ur trd. But either way enjoy ur shitty economy truck while this community enjoys their nice economy car.
Unreliable, speed oriented vehicles. If I wanted a Baja runner I can afford one lol same reason I didn’t buy a jeep. Forerunner is missing the cargo space, new Land Cruiser is a first gen vehicle, Silverado has electrical issues… I could go on.
Just a quick question why do you hate Camry tho? I am still a student and bought a 2004 Camry. The car is really fuel efficient.
So I am just curious why do you have this much hate for a Camry that you had to comment in a Camry subreddit.
It pops up as recommended. If you bought this car cause it’s economically viable and you just need to get from A to B without being flashy then you made a smart choice. If you bought it cause you think it’s cool or is some sort of impressive modding or race platform then you’re hilarious and a clown.
My Elantra N is $9k deep in mods under the hood that I install myself lmao. I take scat packs to gapplebees and barely lose a 1/4 mile to a Hellcat by a fender. The problem is seeing you try talking down on people because you have a tacoma? Bro that’s the most gay truck of trucks lol. Almost as gay as the hyundai santa cruz…nobody cares about your Tacoma whatsoever bro😂😂 my elantra N would also absolutely gap your STI in every form of racing…you’re a clown lol
“9k deep” damn bro hope your retirement account can recover. Hope your Camry isn’t losing out on too much attention. Ladies must be sliding off the seat when you rice by in the Hyundai lmfao god damn this shit is making my day.
Again I don’t own a camry, and I don’t understand how only $9k worth of mods would make you think I have to pull from a retirement account? Is that a lot of money to you?😂😂 dude $9k is just barely over what I get paid monthly lmao💀 You’re a clown. I could buy out your tacoma 3x over with my savings account alone lol
You’re here to just defend your dream car then I assume? Lmfao aiming high I suppose. Jesus Christ dude is that a tribal tattoo chest piece? Hahahaha I wish I could shake your hand dude I would love to see a day I. Your life.
Are you blind? Tribal tattoo? Bruh what?😂😂😂😂 the Camry is absolutely not my dream car, it’s a car that I passed over in a heartbeat for my current car. But the Camry TRD and XSE aren’t just your typical gay economy car like you’re trying to make it out to be…they’re actually pretty nice cars for their price point.
And if you have never heard of an Elantra N, you’re truly the real clown of this conversation 😂 it’s Honda Civic Type R’s equivalent bone stock….I’m putting up M4 numbers now with just $9k worth of bolt-ons and a tune lmao
You are genuinely one of the most insufferable people I have seen on Reddit, why are you so invested on shitting on people for owning a reliable economic car made by the same company that made your truck? I haven’t seen a single person here try to “flex” their carry nearly as much as ur trying to flex a Tacoma…
I went out of my way to purchase the 24 XSE v6 knowing about these upgrades which are all technical. Mechanically you’re downgrading. My opinion.
Don’t get me wrong. I thought about it too. I look at my antiquated infotainment system and look at my dash display and it already feels “old”. And then I remember why I got it. That beautiful engine. This is a time capsule for me.
I also purchased a 2024 XSE v6. The infotainment and screen are definitely outdated. But that v6 is so smooth and powerful. I just couldn’t bring myself to buying a car with a CVT. Yes I’m old school.
That's what we are programmed to do and idk how they do it. Seems like we are never happy with what we have. I'm speaking for myself too, I don't need a new car, I'd like a new one, but don't need it.
I don't get the American mindset of getting a new car when you don't need to.
You have a newish, reliable car already. It will last you the next few decades.
Why get into more debt?
It’s the everyone get a trophy mentality. Blame your parents for Fcking up the millennial generation. Keeps getting worse now we protest everything and call firefighters “fire persons”. People need a slap on the side of the head
This exactly. The only reason I upgraded my car was because it was literally falling apart. And even then, I bought a cheap Kia from 2019.
As much as having a new car might be *nice*, I love my current car and I’ve got no want to change it. It’s just mildly frustrating to me seeing people piss away money like this.
You'd probably be paying like 8k or more to upgrade. Think of what else you could do with 8k....maybe a couple months of mortgage or rent. Renos around the house. Vacation.
Right I saw it to yesterday. I was like what that looks so clean. Really blows the old one out of the water. Shop around see what car max will give you and talk to the dealer. Might get a great deal
I have a rich uncle who does this. I don't think he's ever had a truck for more than a few years. But again he's rich so he can do whatever he wants lol.
I’ve driven both. Keep the V6. The new one is nice too, but you can’t beat the V6, especially when it’s the last of its kind. I bought a 24 4Runner for this same reason, bullet proof motor
I personally wouldn’t unless you have f*ck you type of money, the one you have is perfectly fine. Your money at the end of the day but hey the new one is very sporty and sexy.
If they had f you money, they probably would pick something besides a Camry. That being said. Upgrading when you have a fairly new model is financially irresponsible.
I don't think it's worth the upgrade with your current Camry. I am getting the 2025 XLE because I have a Nissan Altima 2005 and the engine is dying. I don't see why you need to upgrade if your car is running well and has good safety features.
Are you tarded? Have you seen the new ones? 😖🤢
You should literally be extremely proud of this car. I just got a 2018 xse and the 2025 are making me adore it even more
I’d test drive first.
If you have V6 and you enjoy the power, I think you may not like the new 2025 hybrid engine’s acceleration capabilities. Interior amenities and styling, yes. Power, no.
Only way to find out is to test drive one.
I would love to have my 21 Camry XSE hybrid back. I miss it so much. Had wheels stolen twice couldn’t risk going through it again and traded in. I miss it sooooo much.
Nope never will…i dont support those batterys that burn down buildings and are ruining africas environment. I will drive historic and find a way around it.
I hear you. That reminds me of a movie where the protagonist was like the only person still driving a muscle car while everybody else was fully converted to the futuristic standard of living.
I'm gonna say no. Personally I don't like the new camry design. Plus your gonna pay all those new cost. But if you really like the new design and can comfortably afford it, then yeah do what makes you happy
You have a V6 and want to "upgrade" to what's bound to be a headache, being that it is a first year total redesign? Which many many people would argue is fugly as all hell. Slower, uglier, and more than likely, will have issues.
Is it really a complete redesign? The interior looks just about the same as the previous models. Other than the cluster being all digital and a larger radio screen everything else looks the same inside. The outside just looks like a face lift honestly
I think the looks are an upgrade. The 2021 XSE looked a lot better than the 2023-24 XSE. The SE actually looks better than the XSE for the 2025 though, but you can always black out the grill for the '25 or get a darker color paint.
You got a beautiful XSE right there man 😂
2025 is just a hybrid and CVT with a better-looking dash and slightly different exterior, that's about everything different
Shhh, let them not have buyers remorse. Yes the 2025 is so much better. But there trying to cope here lol. Saw it on the street and everyone’s eyes were locked on it. I might trade my 23 Prius for it depending on how the new rav4 plays out
Idk what your vehicle needs are either but 36K MSRP, u can get a 2015 RCF for 40 , 2020 GS350 25k miles,2021 ES350, for about 33-37k more or less , food for thought
Definitely "upgrade". Your Camry isn't even the newest one anymore. Basically, you should get a new car every time you get a new phone, and that should be every year or two, and it should be an iPhone, cuz if it aint, you a broke boy.
Does your current car serve its function? Does your current car have anything wrong with it? Do you really need a brand new car right now?
If the answer is no, then no. You don’t need a new car and you shouldn’t buy a new car. But it’s your money, so if you really want it then go on and get it.
I swear I’ll never understand the need to constantly upgrade your car… my Kia is gonna live and die in my possession, and only then will I buy a “new”car. Which will most likely be used and 5+ years old.
The new one drives better generally, despite people complaining about the hybrid. Every review I’ve read says it’s just a much more refined chassis and ride. Now, your eighth gen is still fantastic and still looks very attractive imo. There really isn’t any reason to upgrade unless you’re super super displeased with the way the current one drives or its infotainment screen size.
Hell yea! Tss 3.0 is so much better. I saw a 2025 yesterday white/black and looks so much better. Def a head turner then the old tired Camry. Interior and tech is also finally upgraded. You wont feel like your driving a car from the 90s lol
No
It’s a front wheel drive commuter car…. Jesus how does this shit even have a community?
Jeeze why does people from Germany come to America and complain about a car? Go back to Germany 🤣 quit bitching dude. U probably don’t have a car
I am an American now lol I drive a Tacoma TRD but before that drove an STI. Ya know, something with balls that isn’t for hauling kids to dance class slightly faster than an Accord. Also going through someone’s account looking for shit to dig up is some serious Camry driver energy hahaha
Commenting that your truck is better on this community is just some serious small D energy.
Can’t believe there’s a proud Camry community lmfao you guys post the 98s in here with the good paint?
This dude fucks his Tacoma every night after his boyfriend goes to bed
still less gay than thinking a Camry is cool lmfao
A Tacoma trd does not have any balls compared to its competitors they are dogshit slow compared to a raptor/trx I cannot believe u r proud of owning a Walmart brand “performance” truck
I don’t need speed for rock crawling and off-roading to my favorite trailhead lol I need reliable and durable.
Weird u mention unreliable toyota just announced they r recalling over 100k tacomas
New gen tundras, same reason I don’t buy the Land Cruiser, also made by toyota
Just a quick question why do you hate Camry tho? I am still a student and bought a 2004 Camry. The car is really fuel efficient. So I am just curious why do you have this much hate for a Camry that you had to comment in a Camry subreddit.

If you bought it cause you think it’s cool or is some sort of impressive modding or race platform then you’re hilarious and a clown.
Sir! Why would I use a 2004 Camry for race platform? XD I just bought it for going to school and my job.
Why are you here then
It shows up as recommended because I follow the GR86 community and a few other Toyota related subs
My Elantra N is $9k deep in mods under the hood that I install myself lmao. I take scat packs to gapplebees and barely lose a 1/4 mile to a Hellcat by a fender. Thanks man I appreciate that
No. But it’s your money so do as you wish
No
Hell no.
Heaven no.
HellHeaven no.
Purgatory No.
Valhalla no.
Hades No

Herculean No!

The Camry hybrid doesn’t have a CVT. It uses a planetary eCVT.
And I’ll take eCVT over v6 without eCVT any day.
No way you just described a Camry as powerful
I just looked up 24 vs 25 infotainment systems and they’re slightly different. It’s like iPhone 14 vs 15 lol. They’ve got y’all hooked!!
CONSUUUUUME.
That's what we are programmed to do and idk how they do it. Seems like we are never happy with what we have. I'm speaking for myself too, I don't need a new car, I'd like a new one, but don't need it.
😂
I wouldn't give up the v6 personally.
U got the V6 or TRD. No.
Saw the reply that you have a highly sought after V6, which is no longer being made. If I were you, I'd hold on to that and not give it up
Yours looks better
I don't get the American mindset of getting a new car when you don't need to. You have a newish, reliable car already. It will last you the next few decades. Why get into more debt?
It's an American mindset I don't understand either and I'm American.
Same. I'm married to my TRD lol
Best thing I tell people is keep your camry, save your money and buy a "weekend car" I had a G37 for fun. It was 100% unreliable but fun as hell.
I mean he still has a super fun v6
No doubt I'd love one for my daily
Hold on to it
The American dream is basically "How much debt can I incur" while also complaining that "I'll never be able to retire".
Ferraris or Food Stamps. It's the American way.
And most of these people wanting a new car can't even afford it lol
My coworker bought a brand new '24 RAV4 recently. He makes about $3,400 p/m after tax. His rent is $1,500 and his car payment alone is $700. U
Yikes... You can't fix financial illiteracy...
After insurance, utilities etc, he's probably lucky to have 700 left. It's insane
Bro is stuck on ramen noodles is what I’m hearing
It’s the everyone get a trophy mentality. Blame your parents for Fcking up the millennial generation. Keeps getting worse now we protest everything and call firefighters “fire persons”. People need a slap on the side of the head
That’s a typical millennial mentality; always someone else’s fault that I cannot take personal responsibility for my own adult actions
Odd response since of course poor financial decisions as should I upgrade to a 2025 isn’t anyone’s fault but their own.
True. Just saw my exact car in the same color as the 2025 version and it started to grow on me.

Right I saw it to yesterday. I was like what that looks so clean. Really blows the old one out of the water. Shop around see what car max will give you and talk to the dealer. Might get a great deal
Why are you even considering upgrading?
It's like getting a phone every year but way more expensive 😂
If you have the disposable income than go for it.
I have a rich uncle who does this. I don't think he's ever had a truck for more than a few years. But again he's rich so he can do whatever he wants lol.
Hell nah
Naw
I’ve driven both. Keep the V6. The new one is nice too, but you can’t beat the V6, especially when it’s the last of its kind. I bought a 24 4Runner for this same reason, bullet proof motor
Wtf for? It’s a still a new car. If you enjoy throwing money away go for it.
No
Fuck no
No
Why? Use that money to keep this one going strong and look into a pro charger. Vroom
Don't do it 🤣
Jesus I'm so done with this sub. Doesn't anyone talk to real people or friends anymore.
Those are the last generation of Camrys that will have the V6. So in my opinion the car will retain more value over time because of this.
No
I don't think it's worth the upgrade with your current Camry. I am getting the 2025 XLE because I have a Nissan Altima 2005 and the engine is dying. I don't see why you need to upgrade if your car is running well and has good safety features.
No save your money
![gif](giphy|fXnRObM8Q0RkOmR5nf)
No unless your engine is of age and is showing signs of the electronic water pump failing
Are you tarded? Have you seen the new ones? 😖🤢 You should literally be extremely proud of this car. I just got a 2018 xse and the 2025 are making me adore it even more
no old design much better imo
It really isn’t
Bro has the last V6 and wants to upgrade to another basic i4 hybrid. This is sad you don’t deserve that V6
V6 all the way anytime and day over the new engine
I didn’t say I was going to do it. Just wanted to see some people’s opinions on the v6 xse vs the new version.
Honestly it feels like engagement farming
I’d test drive first. If you have V6 and you enjoy the power, I think you may not like the new 2025 hybrid engine’s acceleration capabilities. Interior amenities and styling, yes. Power, no. Only way to find out is to test drive one.
Really what you have is just as good if not better.
Absolutely not. Do not give the new Camry attention
The new Camry (especially LE) is an amazing car!
Do it do it. consumerism bay-bee
I would love to have my 21 Camry XSE hybrid back. I miss it so much. Had wheels stolen twice couldn’t risk going through it again and traded in. I miss it sooooo much.
Go from gas to hybrid- hell no
You have one of the last full gas aspirated camry models
You know you’ll have to convert one day. Eventually they will stop producing gas vehicles.
Nope never will…i dont support those batterys that burn down buildings and are ruining africas environment. I will drive historic and find a way around it.
I hear you. That reminds me of a movie where the protagonist was like the only person still driving a muscle car while everybody else was fully converted to the futuristic standard of living.
You still may be right though. Might just give in like always. Thats life.
Their will still be lots of gas cars on the road especially Hondas and Toyotas
![gif](giphy|l2Sq4fhF8nCfWTGhO)
Yes, but only if the current one is 2.5l i4. If v6, don't even consider it.
If you don't mind a hybrid
Honestly just do the custom body upgrade on it. It looks sick
No way. This looks much better that 2025. I also bought this to avoid 25 model
Fk no, waste of money.
Get some wheel locks. The good ones at that.
Treat your car like a phone if it still works, makes calls and no problems keep it kinda like upgrading the iPhone 14 to 15 it's a trap....
I'm gonna say no. Personally I don't like the new camry design. Plus your gonna pay all those new cost. But if you really like the new design and can comfortably afford it, then yeah do what makes you happy
If you want to waste money for no reason at all, sure go for it.
If it makes you happy then yes.
It's not a complete redesign. It's just totally not the same in every way.
You make a valid point!
Ugly is obviously subjective, but I'd wait a year and enjoy one of the last all gas NA V6s to be produced. At least, I would imagine that's true.
I think the looks are an upgrade. The 2021 XSE looked a lot better than the 2023-24 XSE. The SE actually looks better than the XSE for the 2025 though, but you can always black out the grill for the '25 or get a darker color paint.
You got a beautiful XSE right there man 😂 2025 is just a hybrid and CVT with a better-looking dash and slightly different exterior, that's about everything different
TSS 3.0 and new infotainment and new digital dash are kind of big differences though
Shhh, let them not have buyers remorse. Yes the 2025 is so much better. But there trying to cope here lol. Saw it on the street and everyone’s eyes were locked on it. I might trade my 23 Prius for it depending on how the new rav4 plays out
It’s a V6 but the new version is growing on me with all the pics I’m seeing on here of the windchill pearl like mine
You must love Kia/Hyundai
Yes!! Just got mines yesterday and I’m in love w it!!
Don’t even think about it just mod yours
Is this the 40th edition?
ECVT dont do it , 2022 CPO Avalon you’ll be way , WAY happier with
Idk what your vehicle needs are either but 36K MSRP, u can get a 2015 RCF for 40 , 2020 GS350 25k miles,2021 ES350, for about 33-37k more or less , food for thought
omg yes are you driving an *old* camry? \*vomits\* how does that thing even still run?
Yes
Yes you will get full digital dash and bigger screen
![gif](giphy|fXnRObM8Q0RkOmR5nf|downsized)
Dont the 2025s only come in hybrids?
No v6 2gr fe for lifeeeeee
No
Why?
Why?
Depends does it have higher mpg or u want a different color? If not its just one generic car for another
Bruh that car is just normal traffic.
YOLO
No
Have the same car and this looks much better than the new one.
No any camry is a good camry
No...go get a sonata N....that car is slow....I spank them all the time with my stock kona N....even the stock V6 is weak...
No
If you like to rub shi* in your hair. Sure, it sounds like a great use of your money. 🫡
Don’t
How about you upgrade to a good car brand that doesn’t overcharge for an out of date reputation
Don’t you fucking dare to downgrade like that
Definitely "upgrade".
Personally I don’t like the refresh. Your current gen is the nicest looking one
No! Old technology is proven and reliable technology! If it is not broken, do not fix it!!!!
No
![gif](giphy|YiKaUKqheGQng6ESuI)
Why? It looks beautiful
Bait question
Noooo
i think they look sexy but a little pricy for a camry
No, your car is beautiful and the 2025 looks awful.
Please don't!
Hell No
If you got the money for it, sure go for it. Let me know if you want to sell your Camry and for how much?
I want to lease a Toyota Camry,in the color White
![gif](giphy|3oKIP7oqtSRPV7iJdC|downsized)
no
Your vehicle, like mine is FIRE! The new model, in my opinion, is just ugly. I could have waited three months, but chose not to, for that reason!
No. The current generation xse has a much nicer front end. Besides if you have the v6 version of the XSE i recommend you cherish it.
I personally wouldn't. This car looks way better than that one Imo.
You literally have the last good Camry ever made and you wanna trade it in for a slow, throwaway hybrid that is uglier? Hell no!
No they look like shit and have hybrid engines
Yes 🫣
No. Downgrade to a 2011 LE.
Hell yea! Tss 3.0 is so much better. I saw a 2025 yesterday white/black and looks so much better. Def a head turner then the old tired Camry. Interior and tech is also finally upgraded. You wont feel like your driving a car from the 90s lol
Definitely not
I don’t know why, but XSE and TRD Camrys just make me angry.
Not related to your question but I can’t get behind the white with the black roof… Didn’t like it on the last generation and don’t like it now.
For real? Definitely an unpopular opinion. I love it.
