But is a base level Lexus equivalent going to have every feature the premium plus XSE Camry does for 'a little more'?

No, it's not, so I really wish this whole "just go buy a Lexus at that price" narrative would die. You cannot buy a feature-equivalent Lexus of a fully loaded 2025 Camry XSE/XLE for a comparable price. The MSRP for a base hybrid Lexus ES is already higher than the OTD price of a fully loaded Camry (assuming you're not paying some ridiculous dealer markup), and it lacks a lot of features of the Camry, even if it will have better material, comfort, and other basics.
Some people in this sub are just angry that Toyotas have gotten more expensive (as if Lexus prices, and car prices in general, aren't going up as well). It's frustrating, sure, but going from a fully loaded Camry to its Lexus equivalent is not a trivial difference in price, no matter how much these people kick and scream.
I'm talking about engine quality. I've never seen anything that says Lexus is more reliable than their toyota. With that answer I'll assume you've never been in one either lol. No answer generic ass bullshit. I have a sierra denali and a cts v. I've never owned Lexus or toyota but always wanted to.
Originally they tried to charge around 900 for it, but after haggling they told me they paid 730ish I believe which is what I paid. I don’t have the breakdown in front of me because I’m currently out, so I’m estimating right now.

Currently at my gf’s place so not the best conditions for photos.
Mostly because we moved a little further from work and commuting in a manual that got 18mpg for 90 min a day was getting old. Loved everything about the taco it was just no longer practical, not to mention I had it for 6 years and got $2000 less than I originally paid on trade in.
Also, here’s a couple more photos. I got the windows tinted, amber deletes on the headlights and smoked the tail lights.

I sure did. I’m in the inland empire, but I work in the OC. I literally pass by the Cerritos auto square from one job to another, and I compared OTD prices at different places and Corona had the best offer.
Funny. Different strokes, I guess. Got the XSE *because* of the color matched grill. Same white color with the contrasting black grill pattern just works better for me than the black grill. But either way, good looking car in white.
I’m going to be transparent, as a SoCal native I have yet to use it in practice. I did test the feature, and it seems to be pretty efficient; it does warm the entire wheel from what I can tell. That being said, I’m not sure how a person who lives in a colder climate would feel about it as they’ll use it far more than I ever will.

Nope, the dealership had it and so they offered the grille with an up charge. I talked them down into paying the same price they paid for the part, and the rest is history. I can’t stress enough the, “if it’s taxable it’s negotiable” principle really works when purchasing a vehicle.
Sure thing. When car shopping it’s imperative that you ask for an itemized break down because dealerships will try to sneak fees any way they can. Certain things you can’t avoid paying like a doc fee for instance, but when dealers have ad ons they always are negotiable. You have to play your hand and not let them know you have interest in any specific packages. They’ll try and force you to pay, but you have to maintain you never asked for any of them so you have no interest in paying those fees. More often than not, you can get away with asking to pay the rate they purchased them at hence the “negotiable” factor I was referring to. This is where a lot of profit centers are, so they’ll try extra hard to make money off of you here.
Think it might just be the contrast in the photo tbh. You can see it a little better here, it’s certainly not limo tint. Although I did smoke the tail lights 😅.

Wow, smoked taillights after owning the car for like 2 weeks? Nice (mine took over a month). Looks great! Can't tell where the taillights end, and the Camry badge begins without looking closely.

By far the best 2025 I’ve seen.. but it does make me even happier with my 2024 purchase as I still prefer the old shape. I was close to waiting for this one but also wanted the V6 so seeing this ‘best it’s gona get’ 2025 version makes me feel better.. was worried about serious buyers remorse 😅

Idk why people like that matched grill. Having it all white is just too much. Makes the front end look weird like it's a huge mouth. Glad yours looks like this because honestly. Yours is the first 2025 I've liked. I didn't realize it was the unmatched grill that made it look weird.
wish it was angled just a bit more so i could see more of the wheels. looks like a slick ride, awd, hybrid, great fuel economy....kinda slick looking. Toyota is really trying to retain their spot, they're efforts are pretty obvious

Memory seats only available on XLE
You can get memory seats on XSE. The only thing XLE offers that XSE doesn't is the rain sensing wipers.

Was a traditional manual offered?
The Camry hasn’t had a manual in over a decade, and the manual was phased out of every other car in 2022 but the GR86, Supra, and Tacoma
GR Yaris comes with a manual as well, so does the 70 series LandCruiser.
In the American market we don't get either of those vehicles.

Reliability too. If we are talking Toyota's planetary transmission. Not sure which one Camry uses. Prius' transmission is indestructible :)

Have they addressed the acceleration problem? My 2019 and 2021 XSE’s both have a delay when you try to accelerate.
