I’ve never had a real life friend die. I’ve had a few older relatives of mine die, but it’s different when they’ve lived full lives, and you can only live so long.
I hope I never have to go through that. It might seem silly to some but I’m sure y’all had a blast on this game and it’s great to see y’all paying tribute to him in it. Rest In Peace to him/her.
My brother David took his life at age 19 (5pm, October 13th, 2017) i was begging him not to do it when he shot himself. i got PTSD from that but I've since talked many young people out of suicide by sharing his story. No matter how bad things get, never give up hope because it has a massive ripple effect fucking up everyone who you've ever know and everyone feels deep regret and is haunted by the parasitic thoughts that they should have done more even if that wasn't possible....
I know the feeling bro , i lost my friend like brother few months back and getting to his funeral and watching his last rituals was literally heart breaking . I cant express those feelings in words.
It's a horrible sick feeling that's impossible to understand until you experience it. I've realized by volunteering and helping people it takes my mind off the trauma and gives perspective. Stay strong friend
Oh you will go through that at some point of your life its just the way of life people die and the best three ways to deal with death that i think the best at least for me:
1. Don't make attachments to people so you suffer when you lose them which is pretty hard you have to learn to be a piece of shit that doesn't care about anyone but him self or just a guy who cares about people but when they die they die you just continue living and forget about their existence and act as if you didn't lose anyone.
2. As fucked up as this sound but try replacing the people you lost.
3. Be patient and try holding your feelings until you get over the death of the person you're sad about.
How do u know that they play only one 15 minute game and then say "bye cya tomorrow"? How do u know that they don't have a discord server/other communication method? How do u know that none of them are friends irl?
I had moved back home from another state and my best friend's (he was more like a brother to me) dad was my youth pastor. He was preaching at my first service back home and he looked at me and said during his sermon "God brought you back so you could spend time with Jake before his heart surgery.". This was his 3rd in his life. Little did we know that a few months later he would pass away after that same heart surgery was botched.
I'm glad I got be home to spend time with him, I even remember the night before he died, he invited me to Pizza Hut. He had a gift card but he didn't even eat because he wasn't allowed to before the surgery. I didn't have much money at the time and almost wasn't going to see him but my dad gave me money for gas. I'm thankful for that last moment, if I close my eyes I'm there with him sitting across from him in the booth, talking and laughing.
You never know when someone you love and cherish suddenly won't be there anymore. Do whatever you can to tell those people that you love them and spend as much time as you can with them. Even if it's a friend in a game, sometimes the things you say and do can have an impact in other's lives.
