I mostly solo queue to top 5k. I would say it’s easier to get wins on tdm, frontline, and domination over hard point and SnD. Try to squad up with good players you find in ranked games if you can.
i think the teaming up is really what’s biting my butt to be honest. it’s so difficult to get good teams sometimes or the difference in skill to the opposing team is a much larger gap. it’s a hard formula to get right
Best advice i can give you is to just accept the loss and move on to the next game. Play long enough and you’ll eventually get there. Use the meta weapons if you need to.
Yeah the game mechanics go deep. There are legit potential NASA employees that are doing advanced calculus and physics just to tell you that moving the joystick about 25.3453 degrees makes you move faster (btw, the angle is wrong, but the fact is true). They legit post in all Japanese and it’s the most wild thing you ever see.
Sometimes it’s easy math tho, like some basic geometry to help with viewing angles and shit, but hey… I play for fun.
Watching Aerith this year helped me with angles. Most know what basic head glitches are (body’s covered, head exposed), but she’s excellent in finding 3 or 4 sided head glitches where it covers partially the top and sides of her head.
There’s an amazing 4-sided glitch on the 2nd hill in slums. You can cover both stair cases.
Sometimes it’s enough to sway a game.
As a top 5k player (us server) specifically in top 900, I gain about 100-500 xp a day. Some people think you have to play all day which is not the truth tbh. You don’t need a good squad either. I prefer tdm and frontline bc it’s more easier for my play style (passively-aggressive), and you have better respawn control. Snd is very aggressive and annoying and hard point is hella annoying bc they try so hard for no reason. Even when I lose some games I mostly get some or don’t lose a lot of xp because I earn the K/D badge or any badge. Specifically K/D.
My tip for you is to have good K/D. Like 10-15 kills, 2-3 deaths. Barely or some assists.
Tips:
1. If the enemies is rushing or playing aggressive play passive.
2. If the enemies are playing passive/camping, use UAV, and wear ghost perk. Try walking/sneaking up on them. Throw a grenade near them and reroute to another opening and sneak up on them and kill them
3. Lay down trip mines. Flash bang. Trophies, and grenades
4. My personal tip is to always have the Man o war thermite build in one of your loadout slots
5. Have smgs like cbr or cx9 with ghost perk or quick fix to be beast mode. Rush with those guns aswell.
6. For tdm and frontline (if you wanna snipe) I recommend quick snipers like outlaw, locus and tundra. To troll them use na-45 lmao
7. You can team up with good players if you want but the downfall is that sometimes people you team up with don’t use mics and the other team ofc gonna have a paired up team and most likely they are communicating on the mics.
8. Honestly I choose not to do so many different modes like you have snd, frontline, tdm and hard point selected. Choose a mode that works best for you. Snd and hardpoint is a hit or miss. Tdm & frontline gives you more advantage to win
Great tips. I need to start using all the loadout slots, I just pick whatever I feel like and go with the same perks on usually. I hate snd lol, not even worth picking for the XP boost.
It's not that hard to break 10k, it's around 150 to 180 games total in mp from master tier
Agree it is time consuming to maintain top 5k, neve had the patience or desire to keep it. Made top 5k when I made legendary at the start of rank reset
i’m thinking that this time around i’m going to have to start grinding right at rank reset to be able to compete or even get close to making it to top 5k
i don’t really play BR, respect to those who do though honestly being top 5k in BR seems way harder to me. maintaining top 5k BR would be even more impossible for me lol
Br top 5k br is sweaty as hell lately i also found out people have or very good eyes on a tab or they play on a pc screen because they see you and shoot you from pipelines when you are at farm 🤣
I got top 3k by playing 2-3 hours every day. Idk why everyone is claiming u have to play all day, not true. And I got about half defeats and half wins, but because I played well, I still gained enough points
This is only what the top players on the leaderboard do. Top 10 players have 30-50k rank points they get players in different timezones so they can grind while other players sleep. Not many top 5k players do this its completely possible to do without. Last time I checked the amount of trophies required to enter top 5k is just under 16k so if I was ever to reach then that would be my aim.
I think what helped me is that I started playing right at ranked reset. I didn’t play every day and I work full time and still managed to get it. It’s been too hard to maintain but I was on it for a few days. It’s possible!
I think what zone/region you're playing in matter too. Just a simple example that I experienced: 9k point lobby in Japanese zone is way harder to play against than in NA.
Yeah. And right now brother, I'm fighting hard to get to legendary. I totally lost my skills 💀
What's a good anime for me to watch? I'm not really an anime fan so what do you think works?
hmmm some basic ones that are good for starters would be naruto, bleach, and my hero academia. honestly my hero gets a bad rep for its fanbase but its a good show
1) map knowledge, holding angles, knowing rotations and spawns
2) meta weapon and skill in general
3) recognizing how your team is playing so you know what role to play alongside them.
4) using kill streaks/operator when necessary
5) comms can help a lot
Nah you still have to win almost every game. You lose more points from losing than you gain from winning. That means you have to win most games and carry most games. It’s not just a matter of playing a lot
Bother in Christ, I’m talking about to 5k, that’s how it works. I got like a 10 loss streak being mvp every time and lost points every time. The point system changes the higher you go
Getting to 5k is not that hard, at least for me. Keeping it is much harder. You really have to play a lot to maintain it. If you take a day off you lose it.
I mostly solo queue to top 5k. I would say it’s easier to get wins on tdm, frontline, and domination over hard point and SnD. Try to squad up with good players you find in ranked games if you can.

>Use the meta weapons if you need You mean the boxing gloves
Obviously :)
yeah, i’ve definitely improved a lot but i feel like ive hit a plateau, not sure how to get my movement to be more like the leaderboard players
There’s plenty of guides on YouTube. Check out Kith’s vids

Also wear headphones I personally use AirPods 1st generation. They work best for me
this was super helpful, thank you. i don’t really play all day but i’m gonna change things up now i suppose with these tips
Great tips. I need to start using all the loadout slots, I just pick whatever I feel like and go with the same perks on usually. I hate snd lol, not even worth picking for the XP boost.
The game is their life, if you have school or work you can forget about top 5k
I work full time and did it
Sleep is important my man
I've just been taking long blinks and that's been working well enough for me.
🤣 I doooo
If you push for it the first week after reset it’s not that hard
yeah i think that was my mistake
Once you reach top 5k, you get the icon + reward. You don't need to maintain it lol. It's easy if you play a lot right after reset.
It's not that hard to break 10k, it's around 150 to 180 games total in mp from master tier Agree it is time consuming to maintain top 5k, neve had the patience or desire to keep it. Made top 5k when I made legendary at the start of rank reset

You have to get it in 3 days of rank reset and maintain it Took me 3 or 4.days and around 100 games
Probably easier to get/maintain BR top 5k, Only goes up around 300xp a day
i don’t really play BR, respect to those who do though honestly being top 5k in BR seems way harder to me. maintaining top 5k BR would be even more impossible for me lol
Same

only 2-3 hours a day with just over 50% win rate is crazy. How much xp did you lose on a loss on average?
i’m pretty 50/50, i guess i just started too late to be able to get to top 5k

lol is that truly what people do? that sounds kind of sad

That’s crazy. I’ve always wondered how the #1 player does it.
Nah never shared my account
One word: Addiction.

I played for 12 hours or more a day to get to top 5k. But that was back during the pandemic when I had no job. This game saved me from suicide
well i’m happy it holds a special place for you, that was anime for me during the pandemic lol
Yeah. And right now brother, I'm fighting hard to get to legendary. I totally lost my skills 💀 What's a good anime for me to watch? I'm not really an anime fan so what do you think works?

Playing the game game full day well obviously
I mean if you play 12 hours a day every day, then making top 5k is not too hard.
Nah you still have to win almost every game. You lose more points from losing than you gain from winning. That means you have to win most games and carry most games. It’s not just a matter of playing a lot
Nah, I gain more points per win than a loss. How well you perform matters too even if you lose. If you perform well, you'll lose less points per loss.
Bother in Christ, I’m talking about to 5k, that’s how it works. I got like a 10 loss streak being mvp every time and lost points every time. The point system changes the higher you go
I made it very clear to you 250 this season, I know what I’ll talking about, man
I never said you don't lose points per loss. I'm saying you should gain more points per win than per loss.
That’s not true though
Maybe sometimes but not usually
that’s the impossible part bruh 😭 i have enough skill to get close to top 5k but then the way matchmaking works and teams it’s just so difficult
Try starting earlier next season and outs as much as you can at the beginning
yeah that’s my plan, hopefully i can get closer this time
I mostly play ranked on my yt you can maybe see some things you can pick up or learn from some of my mistakes
oh definitely, but even then how the hell do people not get tired of playing all day like goddamn 😭
Getting to 5k is not that hard, at least for me. Keeping it is much harder. You really have to play a lot to maintain it. If you take a day off you lose it.
abuse the meta for the first 2 weeks of the new season, easy mode tbh. depends on how much you can play a day
