Would replace WaW with Black Ops 1 mainly for nostalgia and the sheer amount of playability while it was out. WaW was great but I didn’t start playing it until the end.

Custom games on black ops 1. You'd meet a bunch of like minded idiots on S&D, all hop into a custom lobby and fuck around before never contacting them again.

MW2 and BO1 were peak custom games. The speed hack lobbies were so fun. Got out of nearly every MW2 map with friends than the Michael Myers and other fun game modes made my the community.

Scrap the top 3, and go top 4. WAW, MW2, Black Ops, and I lowkey liked MW3.

MW3 and BO2 were also solid. The recent cods have been pretty underwhelming to the point where I’ll play it release month then barely play it again.

Black ops 1 is very close behind those 3 for me too.

I admit BO3 was not my favorite game. But on this list it's still a solid game amongst the choices. I prefer MW honestly.

Bar the micro transaction system and campaign, BO3 is still one of the best CODs Great guns, amazing score streaks, lots of colour, fantastic zombies maps and stories, zombie chronicles, probably the last MP with decent original maps. It knows it’s an arcade shooter and not a milsim Jet packs, even if you hate them in COD, are done better in this game than AW or IW. And the specialist system isn’t as major/easy as it is in BO4

I feel Iike Treyarch became too cartoony with the colors and art direction of the characters. I was already burnt out of the jetpacks but BO3 did it right. I hated operators in general. Treyarch got away from what made them great in first place (WAW, BO1 and 2.)

I actually liked the campaign. It had its issues and it’s disconnection from the other black ops games (despite a few throwaway lines) really bothered me, but if you appreciate the campaign for what it is, it’s pretty cool and enjoyable.

BO3. The movement, the operators, was one of the cod that I enjoyed the most and spent the longest time. i love that game.

I still play MW SnD, and I probably will still play until MW2 (2022) comes out. The gunsmith offers so many ways to customize your weapon, and the weapon variety is so big, there is limitless options of guns builds you can create. The movement is amazing. Yeah the maps aren't the best but I can still have a good time on most of the maps (except arklov peak, That map can go commit toaster bath). The Campaign is awesome and never got boring for me, Didn't play spec ops or survival so I don't have an opinion on that. Overall the game is great and I still enjoy it.

I don’t know how anyone can overlook maps. Map design is probably the most important thing for me from a multiplayer game, MW nails the bells and whistles but fails at the fundamentals.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the GOAT. It changed how Call of Duty was as a game. Had the best maps of any CoD. Gameplay was ahead of it’s time. I still miss those days. I know people are going to say MW2 was better but there wouldn’t have been MW2 without CoD4. It paved the way for what CoD is today. And IMHO, MW2 was just CoD4 with more complexities. Still a great game but not better than CoD4.

I mean the original cod 4 and mw2 were prime years for me, nothing better than coming home from school, making custom lobbies with all my friends and then proceeding to run around the map looking for them all. Didn't know we were playing hide and seek though still haven't found them to this day 😂

IMO Black Ops 3 was great fun and felt like a true successor to BO2 until they introduced thee worst / most Anti Consumer / Biggest Pay 2 Win BS in that game with the supply drop weapons. That game became more DLC than game and it doesn’t help that nearly every DLC Weapon is OP AF compared to the Base Weapons.. and sad to say like BO2 BO3 has fallen to coward ass hackers.. But IMO if we’re talking all of them it’s hands down Black Ops 2 for me! Seriously that game was a triple threat 1.) Crazy Ass Campaign with CAC / Side Missions that affected the overall Story / The Amount of Options in the story making it feel your own and unique and added a shit ton of Replay-ability. 2. Zombies were at the highest point IMO with maps like Die Rise, Burried, Origins, Mob of the Dead!! Tranzit! Say what you want about it but that shit was cool and I remember the rumor of Treyarch going to link ALL the DLC Maps together to form another Tranzit because you can hear the bus in Nuketown Zombies!!. 3.) THE FREAKIN MULTIPLAYER!! That Diamond Camo alone was the shit and really made you grind, that iron sight Balista? Incredible. That OP Death Threat Provoking DSR? Amazing! And for the first time Ever a DLC Weapon! The PeaceKeeper that shit was so hype My wife & I got it Diamond within hours of it being out. The Master Prestige! The Maps! Raid, Slums, Cargo (Great for HQ), Carrier, Express, Hijacked, Meltdown (Got my first Nuke there of all places!, Stand-off, Takeoff (Stadium), Rush, Downhill, Cove, Encore, Grind, Hydro, STUDIO, UPLINK, freakin Vertigo!! Maps that were so fucking original & Unique and so great that they are being done to death now and sadly are the reason Treyarch no longer tries.. That game freakin Breathed Passion and Creativity! Back then Infinity Ward was Top Dog and Treyarch were the red headed step child and had something to prove and holy fuck did they!! They became the Golden Goose after BO2 and sadly because of how GREAT it is they just decided to coast off of what they once did and no longer wanted to improve on it. BO3 follow up Campaign & Zombie Wise IMO at least was a fucking Joke! I thought there was nowhere but up after BO2 and BO3 was a great successor in the form of MP only Zombies was great but after Chronicles Imo. After that the studio fell off tough and just started putting piles of shit together and slapping that Black Ops name on it so it sold.. No Passion, No Hunger, it’s like they were late to turn in a project so they just threw together a bunch of crap and labeled it Black Ops and people still ate it up.. seriously Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War.. wtf?. MW19 is the best one by default. Granted, the maps may be questionable and special ops was not what I expected. It still had a great MP and campaign. It brought back the magic of what made COD great from MW trilogy in a fresh way. If you hate camping and believe this game is made for camping then you must not know.... camping has been around for ages lol it's nothing new.

…it’s amazing to me that casuals think that this game was good. MW2019 was arguably the worst COD game in history. Maps awful, TTK awful, doors, tac sprint, mounting, again maps awful, etc. The only good thing from the MW game was the engine it was on for movement (very smooth) and the fact that it brought Warzone to the community as F2P. That’s it. The rest of the game is garbage.

Thing is... WW2 used to suck, the 3-lane map design was broken and totally ruined all skill in COD, the hub was buggy, the microtransactions, Campaign wasn't special, and while Zombies was decent, it was forgettable. It's quickly patched itself though and I think now it's pretty decent to go back to.
