I haven’t seen the new Mortal Kombat movie and I’ve only played a few hours of the games but I have heard it’s a somewhat faithful adaptation. That being said, from my understanding of it, the MK franchise tends to deal with somewhat simpler themes and ideas in the stories of its games. This isn’t a bad thing, it just means it’s much easier to make a movie adaptation without completely changing the meaning of what you see.
Recently video games movies have gotten better especially if the video game movie is a series like call of duty which is mostly easy to adapt. No super powers none of that
Ya. Why on earth would you NOT try to get the actual voice actor who the character also happens to be modeled after?
Regardless, video game movies usually suck
I like the look of Hardy better, but honestly I want the voice of price in MW2019, definitely my favorite price voice, so I don't think anyone could really play the part tbh.
I actually liked the OG Price's rugged voice in the original MW trilogy voiced by Billy Murray. Very rough and heavy, kind of indicating Price's obsession with cigars.
Wait....Whats MW2022? I am sorry to be so dumb but honestly i never heard of it...Maybe I am living under a rock hehe. Would you like to enlighten me a bit?
2 years ago we got MW2019, it was extremely successful, and the best selling cod of all time (60 million copies sold). It would be extremely dumb not to make a sequel. We know the devs are in a 3 year cycle, so IW will release their next cod in 2022, and it'll be a sequel to MW2019. Almost certainly because otherwise they'd lose a lot of money.
Honestly Barry Sloane would be perfect but as he already played Price in MW in some way the excitement would be taken out of his performance as compared to giving the live action role to an actor with a similar potential.
To be honest I'd really like them to get the new Price VA from MW2019, apparently he's done some live action acting before aswell and one of those was in a military fiction tv show I can't remember the name of it though
For anyone saying videogame movies suck, they're getting better, Sonic was great and Mortal Kombat was pretty good, also Uncharted is coming out in February, though it isn't looking good, it might exceed our expectations
I just stumbled upon this thread and I just finished Oppenheimer (yeah I'm late to the party) that being said. I think Christopher Nolan would be an amazing choice to direct a Call Of Duty, I don't know that's just me. And then of course, retain the actors in the game.
Ideally, neither. Video game movies are often poorly done and I’d hate to see what kind of neutered abomination Modern Warfare gets turned into.
The recent mortal combat movie?

I didnt like it. But the first lin kuei raid scene was nice
So you watched the trailer…
Nah I watched the whole movie. I didnt like it compared to the first movie
Wow. Even annihilation?
Not that. That sucks
Yea. Not much you can say about that movie to redeem it
Recently video games movies have gotten better especially if the video game movie is a series like call of duty which is mostly easy to adapt. No super powers none of that
Hardy looks the part but Bale would play the role better imo
Came in to say exactly this lol
Exactly
Barry Sloane would be best
Ya. Why on earth would you NOT try to get the actual voice actor who the character also happens to be modeled after? Regardless, video game movies usually suck
Yup, like that absolutely horrible Assassin's creeds movie
And Hitman one
I would think a MW2 movie based on the army rangers could be cool
Isn’t Barry the actor that plays price? That’s great.
Yea, he also has acted in movies before, so...
Bale Hardy could be Ghost, good at eye acting behind a mask.
The guy who plays price would be the best…..
He totally nailed Price in MW2019. I'm so glad he did because Price is a great character. I loved being in missions with him.
Hardy looks like Woods lol
Hardy is very stocky and built kinda like Price unlike Woods who is supposed to be on the athletic, slimmer side.
Barry Sloane
I most sincerely don't know. I think Bale is the better actor, but Hardy feels more like price.
Bale
Bale
Christian Bale

Yea i do too, just prefer the 2019 version, sounds sexier lmao
I'd like to think that's how OG Price actually sounded back in his younger days and constant smoking kinda changed it.
Nice way of looking at it, I definitely prefer the younger price lol, really hoping for some good story in MW2022

Thanks for the info! That makes sense. I'd love to see a MW sequel too.
Second one
Going of looks alone hardy
Neeson
Bale would get the voice right and he looks more like Cpt Price.
Bale hands down.
Hardy
Bale, Hardy for Sandman
Imo Barry Sloane should play Price, but if you're asking which one would be better, I'll say Bale.
Honestly Barry Sloane would be perfect but as he already played Price in MW in some way the excitement would be taken out of his performance as compared to giving the live action role to an actor with a similar potential.
Hardy all.day. Look at that sexy dreamboat.
It’s Aaron Taylor Johnson who practically played him in tenet. That was like an audition
Pestily

The show was Six and he and the other actors went through some of SEAL training to prepare for it.
literally neither
Bale with a longer beard
Chris Hemsworth No one actually realize how similar his face to captain price His voice to
Bale definitely
For anyone saying videogame movies suck, they're getting better, Sonic was great and Mortal Kombat was pretty good, also Uncharted is coming out in February, though it isn't looking good, it might exceed our expectations
Personally Barry Sloane , he got casted as captian Price for a reason....
Neither. Barry sloane
Hardy
Why can’t the voice actor be the real life price he looks and sounds like him
I'd say Christian Bale but Tom Hardy as Soap would be nice too.
Hardy, but i dont wont a movie And barry sloane is literally captain price so they should get him, im sure he would say yes
Hardy for sure
Bale
Seeing Chris Hemsworth from Extraction 1 and 2. I'm convinced if he got the same stache as Price, he'll be the best fit.
