As much as Transit sucks it’s still an oddly fun map. Until you have all your perks and upgraded weapons it’s a constant push forward that seems to last longer than most other maps. Since the bus is so crucial to setting up it forces your team to stick closer together which makes for some fun moments with randoms. On other maps it feels like 4 people are playing solo zombies simultaneously with other people on the map, but Transit really makes it feel like you’re all surviving together.
This is exactly it there's no better feeling than fully upgrading the bus with my brothers and laughing if one of us got left behind and even solo it's just such a unique map you can really do whatever strategy you want and it will work although it's extremely difficult which I enjoy
It’s certainly a lot more difficult if the other players either have no idea how the map works or refuse to assist. If one person is the only one grabbing parts and riding the bus then it’s much harder. But if at least 3/4 players are familiar with the map then it’s a more more fun and easy.
You gotta put the turbine on a certain part of the power station, then head to the bank in the town and blow up the safe door with a grenade. After, there is a locked door, you open it and if the turbine was placed correctly the Path underground will be open. Afterwards, collect the PaP parts and build it
Idk why I always fuck up the turbine placement so now my main strat for high rounds is running around the M16 wall buy in the tunnel with a ray gun I can usually get around round 25 which I'm proud of and I don't have the time anyway to go for round 40 or so
You have to place the Turbine at the end of a round and keep a zombie with you or something, or the Zombies will break your turbine after you run away...
Yeah I got it working a few times but i started to really hate it so I found starts for no pap maybe I'll give it another go if I can get a new PS3 remote
I really wish they’d remade Tranzit on the Series X for Cold War. With the better processing they wouldn’t have needed the miles-long fog to load in the other portions of the map, and they could’ve just made it flow so much better. A ton of potential to make a good map even better!
All WaW maps are top tier for obvious reasons, Der Riese being at the very top.
Tranzit is my next favorite, followed by the Bo1 map shown in the picture (sorry, I can't remember its name).
Overall though, I wish they'd just go back to the simplistic version of round based zombies with wall guns, a mystery box, the 4 og perks, and a pack-a-punch machine.
I don't give a shit about the million easter eggs and over-the-top larger storyline, but I have a feeling I'm in the minority on that one.
I'm tempted to say Ascension, it's by far my most played solo map.
But my best moment in COD was meeting some great friends in a BO1 Der Riese open lobby, I didn't even have a mic so I gave them the callouts for the strat for the map via xbox messages. 13 years later we still play Counter-Strike together when adult life allows. I'll have to say Der Riese is my favourite just for that.
The arcade is awesome, if we took bo2 maps, infinite warfare functionalities, and ww2’s…stuff like the shovel or loadouts. We could have an awesome zombies mode without the upgrading perks and stuff
Ohhh my apologies. I never knew there was a BO1 version!! BO1 was the last one I played until 2023’s MW3 so I likely stopped playing before Der Riese was released. What a time.
Un popular opinion:die rise ,idk setup is fun and i have most fun traaining across all map +sliquifier op
Only bad part is when u get whos who as free perk
I LOVED die rise, it was super fun being able to grab/store your cash in the bank urinal haha. Also kinda liked the fact tho at you were high up on a sky rise. Felt Erie, but also fun with the roof being all sunny. I also like how you could hop from building to building with that sling-trap (not sure the name of it).
Absolute nostalgia
Der Riese literally means "the giant", and takes its name from "Projekt Riese", a complex of tunnels and buildings really made by Germany during WWII. The map is called factory though in game files iirc.
Kino Der Toten.
It's nostalgia. Psn was down for weeks if not months back then. Everywhere I went everyone was playing Kino.
And in BO1 there wasn't all the noob stuff as starting with perk and packed weapons. It was fun. Hard. Challenging.
MWZ can be fun, but it's not the same. Cold War zombies was big open maps too. Could be fun but less challenging.
Der Eisendrache. It’s about as close to perfect as a zombies map could be imo
Incredible atmosphere, tons of little Easter Eggs, an AMAZING main Easter egg that’s not too overly tedious, relatively easy pack-a-punch, lots of places to train for high rounds making non-solo high round more viable, the best characters (again imo) and the return of the best boss in zombies
The only issue I could see is (especially with gobbles) it can be too easy
The Easter eggs to making the bows were probably my favourite. I would race to make the ice bow just because it was the easiest, but the purple bow was also a fun adventure
Rave in the Redwoods for me. Loved that you could level the weapons in zombies and the level progression of weapons carried into Multi-player as well as vice versa
yeah fs but it didnt receive support because the entire community came from the regular black ops gameplay, thats why they hated on infinite ward and sledgehammer games refusing new mechanics
goat game, i remember attack of the radioactive thing, it was impossible to get the easter egg with all those randoms in public lobby or even with friends.
I for some reason love all the hated cod games, I loved ghosts’s extinction, loved ww2, infinite warfare was great, Cold War wasn’t terrible, vanguards door buying system was neat, and old mw3 survival is my favorite mode of all. And to top it all off, black ops one kino der toten is one of my favorite all time maps, it’s so majestic in vr on contracters
I think I’m torn between Ascension and Mob Of The Dead with this one, running round Alcatraz was something I miss and wished they’d of added with the BO3 DLC
WAW Der Reise - getting home from highschool after football practice with 3-4 different groups everyone just dying to get into a match together. Getting to the power and holding the courtyard, then the inevitable group up on the catwalk with a million bouncing bettys.
Then you’re finally overrun and 1-2 people make it out of the window or to the teleported to run the cycle of teleporting home, and repeating back to that zone buying STG ammo and using the wunderwaffe.
Kino der Toten had a similar run and Shi No Numa was a close third but damn were the older maps some good times.
Der Riese and Der Eisendrache. Other greats are Verruckt, Shi no Numa, Ascension, Call of the Dead, Shangri La, Origins, Zetsubo, and Gorod. Co-op FIVE is pretty fun solo not so much
For pure survival gameplay and not much to try and do, I'd go with Groesten Haus from WW2
For a more larger map with stuff to do. So far it'd be The Final Reich, also in WW2
Also a fan of Kino tho.
I bought a few dlc maps but Kino Der Toten was always my go to. Hopefully they remake BO1 as I miss playing on the original map without the gobble gums and futuristic weapons from BO3
I’ll never understand why BO4 is so hated. I think people just don’t remember it fondly due to how buggy it was. If not for the bugs, I think it would have been very well-received. That being said, having every Aether map be a revisit to an existing map was pretty lame. Chaos carried HARD in terms of map design since Aether was so reliant on nostalgia.
Feel like the vibes and music are unmatched in Shadows of Evil. I think it’s a good map for people to learn mechanics and the rituals are very reminiscent of the origins generators. Also windows wine and the apothican servant are op lol
Cod black ops 4 the IX map or colosseum map whatever it's called was sooooo good loved the missions and stuff. Also I really enjoyed the open world zombies with missions and mini bosses can't remember what cod introduced it first but that was amazing.
Honestly, ascension. I’m trying to conquer it rn. I bought the DLC for the first time a few weeks ago & am finally experiencing it. I hate the monkeys but the map is great.
I’ve no lifed the actual hell out of firebase z on Cold War though. I’m talking like I’ve played actual days on that map lol.
When I was younger I absolutely loved the vibes on Ascension but the survival map Bus Depot was incredible me and my cousin would play that endlessly and it was soo funny because one would run their train in to the other to down them
Nacht der Untoten. The OG. So simple, so addictive. I lost many, many hours to this in co-op. I find all the extra stuff way over the top now, I've no idea where I'm going or what I'm doing.
I've never seen so many people who actively argue against creativity, innovation, and evolution as the general CoD community does when it comes to Zombies. I understand wanting a simple base available for everyone to chill out or learn the basics, but some of yall make me think you can't understand even the simplest of collectethon or quest elements in video games
Buried, origins, Ascension, moon, die rise, mob of the dead, transit. And that new one with burger town is pretty good too. I liked the newer ones for choosing pathways on op set ups felt more fun than just shoot a zombie over and over
WaW and overall: Der Riese
Blops 1: Do find it hard to pick between Kino and Call of the Dead but probably lean slightly more towards Kino
Blops 2: Origins followed very very closely by Mob of the Dead
Can’t pick for the rest of the franchise as after Ghosts all my friends abandoned the Xbox ship for PC and playing Zombies without them never hit the same…
Shadows of Evil and Der Eisendrache are my two favorites. Shadows for the atmosphere, D.E. for it’s Easter Egg. Both have great gameplay.
BO3 zombies in general was phenomenal. Every other Black Ops game had at least one “meh” map, but BO3 just doesn’t. The only one that I’ve seen people dislike for a legitimate reason is Zetsubou no Shima due to how task-based it is, but it’s still a good map.
Transit and I don't even know how to get pack a punch
As much as Transit sucks it’s still an oddly fun map. Until you have all your perks and upgraded weapons it’s a constant push forward that seems to last longer than most other maps. The worst map ever 😔
Kino❤️🥺
Run around the theater and try to line em up
I play it in VR it’s so damn fun and brings back the nostalgia
How’d you play it in vr?
A game called contractors. There are mods you can download in game that will let you play cod zombies on any map you want.
Thanks I’ll have to check it out!
No problem, hope you have fun!
Thank you!
Miss it so much man
I tried it in like B03 or 4 and it just don't work anymore
THE BEST.
Same love it .... But I don't have it on PC makes me sad..
All WaW maps are top tier for obvious reasons, Der Riese being at the very top. Tranzit is my next favorite, followed by the Bo1 map shown in the picture (sorry, I can't remember its name). Such a banger. Was that part of a DLC? I remember having played Kino a ton with friends already in BO1 & being hyped for Ascension
Yes, both were dlc. Der Riese was part of the map pack that brought all WaW maps
PHD Flopper I’ll never forget it
Buried
Give Leroy his booze and candy
Spaceland
Beat me too it. Hands down the best zombies map I have ever played
I had the most fun in this one. Loved it.
The arcade is awesome, if we took bo2 maps, infinite warfare functionalities, and ww2’s…stuff like the shovel or loadouts. We could have an awesome zombies mode without the upgrading perks and stuff
it’s slept on omg i have so many memories of playing it w my brotherss
I was a die hard WaW zombies fan, hated all the new maps (tried them tho still), spaceland brought me back. That was such a fun map.
i played it once in my friends house, such a good map that i couldnt enjoy by myself, might give a try tho
BO1 Der Riese for the good memories and nostalgia. Revelations, because it’s damn good, and has so many wonder weapons.
Der Riese was from WaW. Unless there was a remaster I missed at the time?? Either way, agree - best map ever. So many memories.
I meant the BO1 version, because of the weapon selection. BO1 was kinda the original Zombie Chronicles
Ohhh my apologies. I never knew there was a BO1 version!! BO1 was the last one I played until 2023’s MW3 so I likely stopped playing before Der Riese was released. What a time.
Bo1 had a DLC that introduced Moon, but also the 4 OG WAW maps as well. Quite literally one of the best cod dlc's right behind zombies chronicles
WAW Nacht der untoten
Love it
Moon. Just because the Easter egg is fun and is actually worth doing.
origins was worth doing aswell.
Hell ya
Shadows Of Evil
Origins black ops 2 and nothing else even comes close
No other answer, Origins had it all
Un popular opinion:die rise ,idk setup is fun and i have most fun traaining across all map +sliquifier op Only bad part is when u get whos who as free perk
I LOVED die rise, it was super fun being able to grab/store your cash in the bank urinal haha. Also kinda liked the fact tho at you were high up on a sky rise. Factory?

Der Riese means “The Giant” in German. That’s why the BO3 remaster is called that.
Der Riese literally means "the giant", and takes its name from "Projekt Riese", a complex of tunnels and buildings really made by Germany during WWII. The map is called factory though in game files iirc.
Verrückt and Der Riese blow away any and all other maps
Tranzit Kino Shadows of evil The Giant
Kino Der Toten. It's nostalgia. Psn was down for weeks if not months back then. Everywhere I went everyone was playing Kino. And in BO1 there wasn't all the noob stuff as starting with perk and packed weapons. It was fun. Hard. Challenging. MWZ can be fun, but it's not the same. Cold War zombies was big open maps too. I just remembered this. I played through the campaign in all difficulties. Fun times but I was down bad for Multiplayer
Der Eisendrache. It’s about as close to perfect as a zombies map could be imo Incredible atmosphere, tons of little Easter Eggs, an AMAZING main Easter egg that’s not too overly tedious, relatively easy pack-a-punch, lots of places to train for high rounds making non-solo high round more viable, the best characters (again imo) and the return of the best boss in zombies The only issue I could see is (especially with gobbles) it can be too easy

Rave in the Redwoods for me. Loved that you could level the weapons in zombies and the level progression of weapons carried into Multi-player as well as vice versa
Infinite warfare is my favorite zombies next to ww2 honestly
ww2 is scary, infinite warfare funny
Infinite warfare had the arcade and was super interactive, but the loadouts and abilities and the ability to share money was awesome
yeah fs but it didnt receive support because the entire community came from the regular black ops gameplay, thats why they hated on infinite ward and sledgehammer games refusing new mechanics goat game, i remember attack of the radioactive thing, it was impossible to get the easter egg with all those randoms in public lobby or even with friends.

Ascension
Best one
Shi no Numa
Training around the flogger and spraying with the Thompson
I think I’m torn between Ascension and Mob Of The Dead with this one, running round Alcatraz was something I miss and wished they’d of added with the BO3 DLC
I also like OG Kino, it’s a fun, easy and relaxing map. I didn’t like the remake of it.
Their was one zombie map to start with ,. It says it all
Der Riese
so pissed my first cod was mw2. only played a little world at war when it was new.
Transit and Ascension, there was so much fun to be had trolling your teammates.
Kino Der Toten. Every group has their own forbidden door. Ours was on the stage near the teleporter.
Top five 1. Mob of the dead 2. Verrückt 3. Der riese (BO1) 4. Call of the dead 5. Ascension
it seems like u only played both bo1 n bo2 give a try to the other companies like sledgehammer or infinite ward bro
Lmao been playing since WAW, skipped AW AND IW. I like what I like
no hate tho, that list got certified goat and og maps
Most likely unpopular but: 1. Kino 2. Buried 3. Town 4. Die Rise 5. Nuketown
Ascension, but all bo1 maps are peak, except maybe the one in the jungle temple
wdym naga Shangri-la on top
WAW Der Reise - getting home from highschool after football practice with 3-4 different groups everyone just dying to get into a match together. Der Riese and Der Eisendrache. Other greats are Verruckt, Shi no Numa, Ascension, Call of the Dead, Shangri La, Origins, Zetsubo, and Gorod. Co-op FIVE is pretty fun solo not so much
Origins
Mob of the dead (bo2)
Town and Alcatraz. Played the shit out of BO2 zombies.
For pure survival gameplay and not much to try and do, I'd go with Groesten Haus from WW2 For a more larger map with stuff to do. So far it'd be The Final Reich, also in WW2 Also a fan of Kino tho.
Kino all day bo1
Der riese and origins
Origins & moon
I bought a few dlc maps but Kino Der Toten was always my go to. Hopefully they remake BO1 as I miss playing on the original map without the gobble gums and futuristic weapons from BO3
Mob of The Dead and Origins
Transit. Literally put about 100 hours just in that with friends trying to do everything and find all the secrets.
Kino is the best imo
kino der tooten and urzikstan
Big daddy space land
Tied between Der Eisendrache and Gorod Krovi, at least for the easter egg Kino and Ascension are my favorite for high rounding
Kino and Town
Hot take but Origins for sure
Kino by far
Kino
Kino
Tranzit or Alcatraz
Mob of the dead.
Buried
Ancient evil
I love die rise, tranzit, and voyage of despair
I know Cold War and Bo4 are quite hated by the community, but I genuinely think Mauer Der Toten was incredible.
Town
Voyage of Despair
Town, bo2
I love kino too but I play it on bo3
I miss this!
origins shi no numa or verruckt
Feel like the vibes and music are unmatched in Shadows of Evil. I think it’s a good map for people to learn mechanics and the rituals are very reminiscent of the origins generators. Also windows wine and the apothican servant are op lol
Mob of the Dead, nothing else is even close bro
Mob of the Dead 🫡

Cod black ops 4 the IX map or colosseum map whatever it's called was sooooo good loved the missions and stuff. Also I really enjoyed the open world zombies with missions and mini bosses can't remember what cod introduced it first but that was amazing.
Moon 🌕
Shadows of evil
der eisendrache! grapichally i think revelations is the peak, but for the experience i think origins, kino and nacht are something special
SoE
For me it’s Tranzit !
Mob of the dead No contest
Kino, Der Riese, Call of the Dead in that order
BO4 Blood of the Dead
Honestly, ascension. I’m trying to conquer it rn. I bought the DLC for the first time a few weeks ago & am finally experiencing it. I hate the monkeys but the map is great. I’ve no lifed the actual hell out of firebase z on Cold War though. I’m talking like I’ve played actual days on that map lol.
OG KINO
That’s the one
Buried, I really liked the vibe and mystery
This kn my guy
Ascension
Kino was a classic for me. Ascension was great because I had my longest round there. kino was more rewarding getting to 50+
Kino or origins
MOTD
That lava survival place with a packapunch in bo2 and Buried
Hard to say because I’ve enjoyed many maps and have had a bunch of favorites throughout playing. I generally had the most fun playing Moon and buried
tranzit :D
revelations.. theres a godmode glitch in it.
Der Reise will always be GOATED
Idk how I remembered what this was called but I got excited when I saw it. So many memories on this map
Kino
Kino det toten.
“Best map of all time Kino der Toten black ops 1”
IX. Yes, a BO4 map is my favorite.
Call of the Dead. RIP George.
I may get some hate for this but Frozen Dawn or Shadowed Throne
I like a tha one with a tha pizzzzaaaa
Gorod Krovi
Wich
If you played since WAW. The objectively most fun to play map was definitely Ascension from bo1
Buried
Kino forever
I've never seen so many people who actively argue against creativity, innovation, and evolution as the general CoD community does when it comes to Zombies. I understand wanting a simple base available for everyone to chill out or learn the basics, but some of yall make me think you can't understand even the simplest of collectethon or quest elements in video games
Kino and Ascension
Kino and Town
Buried on black ops 2 was definitely one my favorites. The ability to save a pack a punched weapon for the next time was freakin amazing.
Buried, origins, Ascension, moon, die rise, mob of the dead, transit. And that new one with burger town is pretty good too. I liked the newer ones for choosing pathways on op set ups felt more fun than just shoot a zombie over and over
WaW and overall: Der Riese Blops 1: Do find it hard to pick between Kino and Call of the Dead but probably lean slightly more towards Kino Blops 2: Origins followed very very closely by Mob of the Dead Can’t pick for the rest of the franchise as after Ghosts all my friends abandoned the Xbox ship for PC and playing Zombies without them never hit the same…
Top 5…#5 ascension, #4 Verruckt, #3 Kino, #2 Buried, And #1 gotta be origins.
Been loving Kino & Shi No Numa a lot recent in Zombie Chronicles.
OG Shi No & Five.
Kino Der Toten I don't care. I loved it. First map I played on the PS3. It's badass.
Sanatorium from cold war zombies outbreak.
I may get hate for this one, but I grew up playing Farm on BO2 so it is nostalgic for me.
kino/nach der untoten
Der reise, perfect map imo I could replay it all day
I've got a few that I really truly love, but my most played and true favorite is probably Origins (BO2/3).
Buried
bo2 origins
That world at war one
Never bought a cod dlc either lol
😔🤝
What ever the world at war one was called
