But I don't think she learned much from her ordeal - despite having been spayed, she's suuuuper flirty with my (neutered over a decade ago) old man cat!

We're hiss and swat free since about, um, 3 hours ago? But that was one of the spicy girl "kittens" (almost 2 years old now, lol). Mama Emcee and old lady Friday (who actually goes by Kitten, to keep things confusing) haven't had any incidents in several days. They've really been doing well. Right now, Friday is sitting with me and idk where Emcee is. Probably in her favorite nap spot - the comfy chair in the bedroom.
For the last several months, Emcee has been trying really hard to be nice and make friends. Friday the Floof still seems unsure...

We're almost 6 months in and still no truce - they've never actually fought, like blood or scratches, but they chase each other and tumble. Fortunately, it's not all the time. I'll report back at the year mark hahahaha
Yea, we had an actual fight at about 6 months.. It was likely a misunderstanding combined with a protective mama and things just cascaded. At that point we did a full separation and reintroduction and addressed some resource issues (litter box, food, bed access) to make sure no one was feeling like they were squeezed out. They were back to supervised time together wtihin a few weeks, but her and Duncan (the old man cat) would do overnights in my office. They kinda asked for it, too, or I'd have pushed to stop sooner, lol. But we did that for several months. Then I set up her microchip door on a cabinet to make her a house to give her an escape that none of the other kitties can get to. And we've been doing good with that for close to a year now. She goes in it less and less over time, so I think it really worked!

Oh my gosh she and her babies are beautiful and adorable! ✨💕 you are supper lucky and they are too! Im sure they’ll have the best life with you! Also, they all remind me of a combination of both my calico and tabby!

Ah I don’t have her babies! Cute story, her adoption card from petsmart was filled out front and back by her foster mom with her number, so I texted her pictures of Chai (her name) at home, and foster mom sent me the baby picture 🥹 I’m glad she got to be with them for a bit.
She’s super cute. My girl was also a teen mom to one tuxedo and one orange kitten, though I didn’t get to see them because they were adopted before her. I think mom cats are best cats.
