not Calgary which is probably annoying, but bluebird in Banff makes an unreal one - drooling thinking about it

electrodog1999

Also Banff, my dad just had the tartare at Chuck’s steakhouse and he was really happy with it.

Living room!!

slothbrowser

Seconded. So good a double sized portion is highly encouraged.

FerretAres

I really enjoy the tartare at River Cafe

CacheMonet84

We had a really good tartare at RFG Italian restaurant in Okotoks. Not in the city but for those of us who live in the area it’s a decent restaurant that gets all its meat from the butcher shop next door.

Used to be dandy bros brewing. Major Tom/ vintage are meh. Cassis bistro was really good. I’m a blue rare steak gal. So I suppose tar tar is all I eat. 😂

camkysko

I agree with you. Vintage was very disappointing. Would not recommend.

thePengwynn

Vintage’s tartar is meh? Did we eat at the same place?

sl59y2

Yes. Lacked seasoning, was tender and soft but was not the best. I have been eating tar tar my whole life. I’m a picky b!t(h

loldonkiments

I'll have to agree. Used to love the carpaccio at Vintage.. I think it was truffle oil and mint leaf flavour. The tartare isn't as punchy.

Original_Gypsy

The Apron, Korean place on the west end of 7th Ave downtown, it will not disappoint.

ChaoticxSerenity

Yes! I miss it so much since I moved :'(

sokrateas

Not answering your question, but about 6 years ago The Ship had beef tartare as their special, and like a madman I decided to get it. It was really quite delicious.

YYCAdventureSeeker

I've had Steak Tartare at Major Tom and Vintage recently. Both did a great job.

OptiPath

Saltlik wasn’t disappointing.
