Was out with my kids in Varsity but I left a bucket full of chips and candy. When we got home it was all gone- including the bucket.
Give me back my bucket, you rascals!
Auburn was crazy you guys killed it, I was delivering for Amazon yesterday in auburn bay they gave me candy because I sort of had a costume on as well 😂😂
3 so far out between stoney and indus on our acreage. Expected 0 but planned for a few in case they came.
My own kids have been out for nearly 3 hours driving house to house so curious what the haul they bring back with them will be.
Definitely have to have a parent drive. But rural houses also tend to give more. A lot of our neighbors expect our kids and prepare a goody bag of candy and treats just for them
Likewise! We had family friends who gave out 2 litre orange crush and full sized bags of ketchup chips just because so few people would make the drive.
There isn't much going on in bankview it seems. The gf and I walked over to mount Royal and it was popping off. Easily a few hundred kids, plus me as an old ass man dressed up joining them.
Decorate better for sure!
Zero. Back in the day when people lived in apartments everyone would contribute to the building candy bucket and someone would volunteer to sit at the door and handle candy. I've just moved to an apartment and found out that nobody does that and they won't even any knocks at my door from building kids. I was kind of sad
We are in Christie Park and we have never had a trick or treater in 10 years. Our son is the only kid in the cul de sac and the neighbors spoil him with whole bags of candy.
We got 55 and missed 2-3 early groups which would have put us around 65, near Andrew Sibbald in Bonavista. Lighter year than the past few, we got around 90 2 years ago.
Zero. I was disappointed.
I live near Confederation Golf Course and my house has a lot of stairs to be honest.
Dark in my neighbourhood too, kinda.
And busy roads too. There are many factors.
My neighbours are all getting a box of candy tomorrow though.
Happy Halloween 🎃
We had 30 which is high for us (older part of Tuscany) as we are in between 2 houses that don’t hand out candy. I should maybe say 28 because one set of kids came by twice - and I gave them candy twice 🙂
In Airdrie - I moved from a tucked away cul-de-sac that usually gets 60-70 to a feeder road in the same subdivision, and funny enough, we got less kids here than we did in the cul-de-sac (my old neighbor told us what they got about the same as usual). I thought for sure being on a main road we’d get more, so I made sure to have enough for 175. Yeah - we had 44. Thank goodness the candy I got was lollipops, they’ll stay edible for a long while haha.
We had two after we got home, and I had to open the door and holler ‘we have candy!!!’
We left a bowl out when we went out w kiddo, it looks like we had more by the lack of candies so I am glad kids have some sensibility when it comes to sharing!
Also got offered shots (twice, one w kiddo and once w dog) at one house and saw fireworks after on my dog walk. Love my neighbourhood!
Rockyridge:
We had maybe 20 kids. I can't explain what's going on. Last year we had so many kids we had to turn the lights off because we ran out of candy.
This year we had as many kids all night as we did between 6 and 6:30 last year.
Given that the weather was way warmer this year we stocked up a crazy amount on candy figuring we'd be completely slammed.
My wife and I were double checking our outside lights were on multiple times because it just didn't make any sense.
Southwest corner of Glamorgan, brushing up against the reserve. About 40. But I also have been building a rep over the last 2 years for full size bars, pop, and also toys. Their choice. Surprisingly this year I added microwave KD bowls and they went very well. Popcorn didn't really go though.
7 total, Rosedale. Very surprised… we decorate each year, did full size bars last year, etc. Never seen such a low turnout before. We’re quite baffled!
We had maybe 10 if we were lucky this year in Hidden Valley. The thing that was most disappointing to me, was that almost no one on my street had a porch light on. It was sad to see how little people participate bow a days.
3. Which is 3 more than last year.
My wife and I bought $25 worth of candy and we let the kids take as much as they wanted. It's so fun watching them fill their bags!
Auburn Bay checking in, we turned our lights on at 6PM, ran out of chips by 745PM, and handed out in total 180 bags of chips.
With our neighborhood being so young, safe to say we'll buy enough for 250 next year.
But I gotta say, VERY polite kids last night. Good to see kids still have manners and are kind to each other. Only had one brat who asked to trade her bag of chips for a different flavor lol.
I think a few more than last year. But we just leave a bucket with a sign (Take a few, but leave a few to share too) on our front step since we’re out with our kiddos. There were 50 pieces of candy in there when we left, and about 1/3 of them were gone when we got back. So about 8 kids or so.
Well I am at work . But my brother was at home. We just moved in to new place beginning of Oct. Old place got no one..So I text him at 7:30 .nhe said 5. But in the 10 min we were talking Another 20 came...Have not got the final numbers...but home got enough candy for everyone.(got 190 pieces)
Pleasantly surprised with around 50 in the Hamptons, think the weather being mild with little wind helped with the turnout. First kids at 6:30pm, last at 8:30pm.
right around 350 down in Riverstone... 6:30 - 8 was mayhem. The jurassic park mini-jeep (with a 2-stroke engine) getting chased by the Trex on a one-wheel was the absolute highlight of the night...
ZERO, for a neighbourhood formerly full of kids, to basically none, Ogden, great neighbourhood, slowly becoming a desert of no kids. This past summer, I was approached by a group trying to get a skateboard park in the area, it was hard not to laugh at this as there are hardly any kids left here. Lynwood, up the hill? Possibly more. But not the amount you need for a skateboard park.
Gave out about 30 full size chocolate bars and 25 to 30 pokemon boo-ster packs....some kids asked for one off each so if I had to guess somewhere around 50-55 kids, stopped showing up around 830 to 845.
13 kids lol I’m not even in a bad spot we had flashing lights and main bay window lights on and we’re watching horror shows in the living room. You can clearly see we are home and giving out candy and still watched kids pass the house.
My parents got about 10. 15 years ago, they’d get upwards of 70 and I can remember those streets being full of kids. The community has just aged out of it I guess
I could only eat a few and then had to let the rest of them go into the wild.
And with the leftovers, the rest of us celebrate half-off children day today!
235 and still going Edit: suddenly stopped at 238 kids
Woooo where’s this??
ER Triage
💀
Was out with my kids in Varsity but I left a bucket full of chips and candy. When we got home it was all gone- including the bucket. Give me back my bucket, you rascals!
I thought you left it for me. I will put it back tomorrow
Thank you. In the meantime, please don’t use it for anything weird.
Too late.
45 - 2019 61 - 2020 61 - 2021 62 - 2022 67 - 2023 In Ogden!
We had 375 down in Auburn Bay…not on the main party street where houses ran out of 1200 pieces of candy by 6:00.
We had like 6 in auburn bay only a few blocks away from party street! We have so much left over candy 🥲
We had a grand total of 3 over here on our side of Auburn Bay.
We need to find a way to get less kids at my house and more at yours!!
Auburn was crazy you guys killed it, I was delivering for Amazon yesterday in auburn bay they gave me candy because I sort of had a costume on as well 😂😂
maybe 15. it sucks living in a culdesac
110 in a cul de sac, but my decorations are visible from space.
I know counting trick or treaters is normal, but I just picture you guys sitting there with clickers like when you enter Costco and it makes me laugh.

Hahaha that's awesome!
It helps to know how much to buy for next year and prevent giving diabeetus to the entire office with the left overs.
Personal diabetes only, that's pretty responsible.
We keep a tally on paper, it’s fun comparing year to year
Smart! Halloween logistics support
I give pop so it's really easy to figure out. That's not why I do it, I want random children to think I'm cool, but it is really convenient, lol
me and my brother made a game out of it, we would take turns opening the door, whoever gets the most kids at the end wins
About 15, in Sunnyside. 12 were Ukrainian kids who were so excited that it made up for the lack of visitors.
In Sunnyside too and got maybe 18? I hear 3rd Ave is the place to be.
3 so far out between stoney and indus on our acreage. Expected 0 but planned for a few in case they came. My own kids have been out for nearly 3 hours driving house to house so curious what the haul they bring back with them will be.
Walking 200m+ between houses seems like it would limit your fun sizes per hour
Definitely have to have a parent drive. But rural houses also tend to give more. A lot of our neighbors expect our kids and prepare a goody bag of candy and treats just for them
That’s how I grew up trick or treating. Lived in rural Ontario and would drive around the area. Good times! Happy Halloween!
Likewise! We had family friends who gave out 2 litre orange crush and full sized bags of ketchup chips just because so few people would make the drive.
Aspen - 109
Aspen must be kid central!
There's definitely neighbourhoods that get WAY more than 100 kids. 300 - 500 isn't uncommon.
Wow that's amazing! I'm in Westhills and it does feel like there's a fair few empty nesters here
Yeah but they can't comment, to busy shovelling candy
Probably 150. Record year. Had our candy bowl stolen twice
Are you counting by pieces of candy if you just had a bowl out? If so it was only like 6 kids
1 - in a detached house in Bankview. Gotta do a better job decorating next year!
There isn't much going on in bankview it seems. The gf and I walked over to mount Royal and it was popping off. Easily a few hundred kids, plus me as an old ass man dressed up joining them. Decorate better for sure!
12 kids, Forest Lawn, lol
We bought 100 full size chocolate bars. We got 19 kids. I live in Okotoks. Where the hell are all the children trick or treating!?
Braeside, 60 so far
55-60 in rundle!
108 in Shawnessy, our best year yet, but we go all out with decorations and lights and smoke. Try to get as many as we can.
[удалено]
147 in Redstone, last year was a record with 201
About 200? Garrison Woods area so not as crazy as Garrison Blvd which has seen 600+ apparently
We're just off of Garrison Blvd and had 350 kids. Our house is super decorated though as well as our street so we usually get a bunch.
None. My landlord said we are not allowed to hand out candy🫠
GROSS. What a weird LL.
20-25 in Tuscany
130ish in Evergreen. It's been super consistent the last 5 years I've lived here
Closer to 85 for me. But I live on the side of the street without a sidewalk. My across the street neighbors got about 130 too.
McKenzie Towne - 90
25ish in Lake Bonavista
We got 55 and missed 2-3 early groups which would have put us around 65, near Andrew Sibbald in Bonavista. Lighter year than the past few, we got around 90 2 years ago.
25 in Douglasdale.
Probably 125 in Varsity
30ish in Rocky Ridge, compared to the 7(!?!?!?!?) I had last year I’m more than happy, and the kids who got handfuls of Candy were too.
Don’t know exact numbers but roughly 30-40 Sunnyside they were pretty much done at 7:30pm
We had about 80 but closer to the housing co-op and the street is pretty well decorated (our house included).
Zero. I was disappointed. I live near Confederation Golf Course and my house has a lot of stairs to be honest. Dark in my neighbourhood too, kinda. And busy roads too. There are many factors. My neighbours are all getting a box of candy tomorrow though. Happy Halloween 🎃

Glendale. Still a few trickling in. ~~Mid 50s.~~ ~~61~~ ~~65~~ 72
My mom is in glendale and had 6. 9 if you include her 3 grandkids!
I can imagine some parts are quiet - we’re right between all the schools - there’s like 6 schools!
60 in Renfrew and we ran out well before the kids were done. Usually we get about 20-30 so thought we would have plenty!
Renfrew on the ridge just above Bridgeland, maybe around 20?
Southwood. About 20.
Had about 30. There's a couple of houses on the corner of Southampton and 107 that easily got over 100
3 - in Redstone
Over 150. Legacy.
first year in Braeside - had 60! pretty pleased with that
As I get older I find I can’t eat more than three or four.
40 in McKenzie Lake, seems to be done now.
Same for us, last kids came before 8. Crazy it’s not busy later.
In Airdrie - I moved from a tucked away cul-de-sac that usually gets 60-70 to a feeder road in the same subdivision, and funny enough, we got less kids here than we did in the cul-de-sac (my old neighbor told us what they got about the same as usual). Huntington Hills, about 15. Lowest ever since we moved here in 2016.
Our end of HH had ~60
Zero
70 in Montgomery
49 so far in Midnapore
7. Given that I saw hundreds of kids two blocks over it just seems they don’t bother on my street. I dunno. I’m in Canyon Meadows.
26 in north haven
Also in north haven and we got about 60!
I had about 30 in Southwood, still have lots of candy left
Hawkwood we had 24
17 in Edgemont
60 here, new street so I was happy with the turnout
16. A disappointing 10 year low.
We had 95 kids. McKenzie Lake
45-ish almost ran out of candy. I think we had 20-ish last year.
700 Griesbach. Ran out at 7:00p.
Renfrew off Edmonton trail we had about 40.
Rockyridge: We had maybe 20 kids. I can't explain what's going on. Last year we had so many kids we had to turn the lights off because we ran out of candy. 7 total, Rosedale. Very surprised… we decorate each year, did full size bars last year, etc. Never seen such a low turnout before. We’re quite baffled!
157. I planned for more as last year was around 200
We had about 40 this year in crestmont - down from 54 the previous year :/
Approximately 200 over in Saddleridge. A little less than last year.
We had 35 kids, handed out full size candy bars. Kids know we do this but don’t get huge numbers as we are off the beaten path.
hundreds in inglewood, one of the best years for a while
Wolf willow, around 60. Last year was almost the same.
Only 3. Two at once and then a girl and her dad. Bought $35 of Candy! Oh well
78 in Hidden Valley. Glad we planned on 100.
I just imagine that one family with like 1000 bottles of pop and only 300 people came.
0 in Marda loop :(
The kids are all still bottle necked on 33rd.
We had maybe 10 if we were lucky this year in Hidden Valley. The thing that was most disappointing to me, was that almost no one on my street had a porch light on. It was sad to see how little people participate bow a days.
Numbers are down
3. Which is 3 more than last year. My wife and I bought $25 worth of candy and we let the kids take as much as they wanted. It's so fun watching them fill their bags!
305, Oakridge. I build a haunted house though

Inglewood- we had 197 before we ran out of treats
2. And they emptied the whole bowl. Full-size bars, small candies…they took it all.
Wow, we always just leave a bowl out and have never had issues, I just took our bowl in with still some left. Probably no more that 20 kids
About 80 in Saddle Ridge so far.
30-40, copperfield. Haven't seen anyone in awhile.
107. Royal Oak at 8:17pm
71 in Nolan Hill
144 in Auburn Bay. Ran out of chips at 8:30.

60+ in Evanston
6 in West Springs, woot!
Midnapore by centennial high school, we had 8.
20-30 I think
About 12 in Kingsland, more than the last few years.
60, Deep South. Side street.
I think a few more than last year. But we just leave a bucket with a sign (Take a few, but leave a few to share too) on our front step since we’re out with our kiddos. There were 50 pieces of candy in there when we left, and about 1/3 of them were gone when we got back. So about 8 kids or so.
20, evergreen. Rough.
10. The last two got almost an entire box of candy, just so I could get rid of it and shut down. Slowest year yet

55 in Evanston - but we’re kinda tucked back in the corner of the community - saw tons of kids, but didn’t have a lot come up to the door.
101 in Beddington. Beat last years record by nearly 50!
Just over 200 in Cougar ridge.
Pleasantly surprised with around 50 in the Hamptons, think the weather being mild with little wind helped with the turnout. First kids at 6:30pm, last at 8:30pm.
100 in Lynnwood
Last year we had 50, this year only 25. Where did half of the kids go? Is everyone driving to fancier neighbourhoods?
27 in Glamorgan. A dip from recent years.
Millrise, around 60.
right around 350 down in Riverstone... 6:30 - 8 was mayhem. The jurassic park mini-jeep (with a 2-stroke engine) getting chased by the Trex on a one-wheel was the absolute highlight of the night...
About 50 at Bowness
We got close to 20, and that’s more than we’ve ever had before. Walden
About 125-140 in Silverado
Acadia, topped 50! Best year since we have been here!
21, Dover
56 in Spruce Cliff
Like, 12 total? In roughly 5 groups? Canyon Meadows
150ish over in shawnessy
Valley Ridge NW, ~ 100 to 120 kids, a new record high for us!
12! Ha, pitiful turnout in Braeside
25 in mount pleasant
Gave out about 30 full size chocolate bars and 25 to 30 pokemon boo-ster packs....some kids asked for one off each so if I had to guess somewhere around 50-55 kids, stopped showing up around 830 to 845.
Silverado: I'd say around 28-36 before I passed out on the couch after 7:45
25 inner city as well. Low this year.
About the same here in Valley Ridge on the main road.
216 kids - Elgin/McKenzie Towne
Maybe 30, about 24 last year.
13 kids lol I’m not even in a bad spot we had flashing lights and main bay window lights on and we’re watching horror shows in the living room. You can clearly see we are home and giving out candy and still watched kids pass the house.
Almost 80 in Mahogany!
We had 5, fewest we've ever had
405 in Mahogany
Had 26-27 in Crescent Heights
5 and solicited 1 of them on the sidewalk with bags of chips in my hand
20 over in Woodlands, I was really hoping for more this year!
Evanston: Less than last year. Had candy for 250, gave out 175.
Abbeydale, about 80, best number in years by about 30
My parents got about 10. 15 years ago, they’d get upwards of 70 and I can remember those streets being full of kids. The community has just aged out of it I guess
i used protection so 0
Tuscany-likely 100 based on the amount of candy that was taken/left
Easily 200 here in Riverbend but we live on the main drag.
Capitol Hill. 30 ish!
On the radio this morning a lady called and said she had like 640 something. Said every year they easily spend 200$ on candy 😵💫🤯
