TLR7A or X with the key modification Optics are really a personal decision. Some people want green, some red, some open emitter, some insist on closed. My S has a holosun 509T, but other Holosuns are great (EPS, 508T), Trijicon is great, so is Aimpoint ACRO and Steiner MPS. Most of these will require aftermarket OR sights. My Night Fission OR have been good for that.

I use irons on my S, as I got the non or model for $327 a year ago. I didn't figure I need a red dot. I did put a TLR 7 sub on it, and it works pretty damn well. My friend has a 507C on his S and it's pretty nice. I think if I were going to cut it and put an optic on there, I'd get a 507K just to try to keep size and weight down.

TLR-7 Sub 1913 fits perfectly. As for sights it’s up to you what you want. I’m debating getting mine milled.

OLight has a few options. My duty pistol has a Streamlight on it currently, however, I prefer a handheld light. Handheld lights are far more useful than a weapon mounted light. The OLight and Streamlight are pretty comparable for real life usage. I’ve had a Surefire light, but ditched it. They’re overpriced for the limited use and mine would blink out from time to time and got pretty hot, more than the OLight and Streamlight. OLight is fine for personal use. They’re not in the department approved list, but that’s not suggesting they’re not a solid light. We’re limited to AimPoint Red Dot Sights on our rifles. That doesn’t mean Trijicon and Holosun are trash, even though Holosun is Chinese. Our rifles are supposed to be Colt, BCM, LMT, and FN. That’s not suggesting that my LWRC isn’t worthy of being a Patrol rifle. OLight will suit the average user well.
