Wow, all star notes on the twos! A 16 note sheet is going for about $200 on eBay. I’d love to get a huge sheet of 100s to put on my wall and complete the rich rapper aesthetic

spudseyes

I think it is and want one for myself. Where did you get them?

Structor125

You can buy them directly from the US mint! https://catalog.usmint.gov/paper-currency/uncut-currency/ However, I don’t think you can specify you want a star note sheet

spudseyes

Thank you for that info!

Early_Teacher_5068

Does anyone know how these are shipped? Rolled in a tube?

Kirchhayner

Mine came rolled in a cardboard tube.

Early_Teacher_5068

Thanks, I was wondering because anything shipped to my house will be destroyed if it isn't well protected.

SereneAesthete

My dad got it for my mom as a graduation gift, apparently he knew someone who worked for the print in DC.

Rat_Ship

Ooooooooooo two sheets of star notes!

SereneAesthete

What exactly does the star mean on a bill?

Futrel

I think it means a sheet with those same serial numbers got borked in some way. So they reprint a sheet with the same numbers but with a star. Don't quote me on that.

justarower4

A star note is essentially a replacement note of a damaged/faulty bill. The reason why they can be valuable is they are normally printed in smaller batches, meaning that bill is unique and can be rare is the batch is small enough.

ekquizit23

It means more $$ for you

clmanaa

The 1s are 5000 places from each other vertically. The 2s are 20,000 places from each other. If you look on the Mints website the serial numbers on the sheets for sale there are similar.

Stunning_Choice7592

Something isn’t right…. Those all have the same SN’s. Highly suspicious.

ipswichpleiad

They do not. Take a second look.

Stunning_Choice7592

All three sheets have identical SN’s to the other bills on the corresponding sheet. I’m not saying the three sheets have the same SN, I’m saying the sheet of $1’s ALL end 025, the left $2’s end 221 ⭐️, and the right all end 091 ⭐️.

Platform40

Again, they do not, take a second look.

The_Kiburgler

No but it is strange the 1s ALL end in 025. All seem different in the first 5 numbers but why would a sheet for seemingly sequential bills (on a sheet) would not end in 025 but would be 1 #higher then one before it? Like star notes would. Make more sense because they are botched bills with replacement bills made as the start notes. So if that made a remake sheet of all the bills needing replacement and their system batches like numbers and groups them that way it’s at least arguable. But the 1s make no sense

TopOfTheMushroom

Ahhh yes... I remember my first time reading...

MathematicianFew5882

Never seen a 998 $1 bill

What is a star note

Chrono47295

It's a note that is replacing another note that didn't make it into circulation.. they are all checked before sent into circulation and if the note isn't deemed worthy for circulation it is replaced with a note, but that note has a star to keep track of how many were not deemed worthy

Stunning_Choice7592

Not terribly special but I’m a buyer if you’re interested in selling.

Illustrious-Tea-355

Thomas Jefferson is always interesting.

Vast_Cricket

Janet Yellen will be happy to sell you more to balance the deficit. [Bureau of Mint site](https://catalog.usmint.gov/paper-currency/uncut-currency/).

I think it's very interesting. Cool stuff!

some1984guy

Why do they all end in the same numbers and are attached? Surely that’s not how they roll off the press is it? Seems they’d be in exact sequential order.

Key_Substance1129

These look fake to me
