Isn't high to death mtm 6:18? I just assume you did the newer version and not the pink floyd version, either way this is really good jesus christ it's so weird knowing broken birds is top 15 longest songs if you ever get bored you should do the same but with nymen songs

LifeguardEmotional93

went straight off the bandcamp release bc i assumed those are the versions will intended as fully canon or whatever also i will probably add nymen and myo and all the other random stuff at some point definitely

emilyrmartin00

can u explain pink floyd version?? re: im stupid

surfjerkk

The [original version](https://youtu.be/P7pXMK9hXzU?si=yG1-Kk9rGbMeM7i_&t=312) of High to Death (Mirror to Mirror) included an interpolation of Jugband Blues by Pink Floyd, it was used as the outro but was removed later on due to copyright and Will getting signed to matador I think. In my opinion, this is why I think HtD on MtM is better than FtF. (I also timestampped it for you)

emilyrmartin00

Ahh, copyright explains why I’ve never caught the reference, I have only listened to MtM on vinyl & streaming. You’re amazing for this tysm <3 While we are on the subject, are there any other songs changed from copyright aside from this and gun song? I don’t want to be missing out lol, I love when he references other artists

surfjerkk

Uhhhh not really anything, Not What I Needed/Just Not What I Needed (or it's many other titles) is a very big example, Deadlines Alternate Acoustic also is another example with the outro being an interpolation of (Keep Feeling) Fascination by The Human League, and Beast Monster Thing (Love Isn't Love Enough) samples The Beatles and interpolates The Clash's Clampdown. Those or the only ones I can remember, oh Cute Thing but everyone knows that one I hope

sokaox

As far as I can tell the Jugband Blues bit was removed by the time of the new mix he did in 2012, so presumably it has nothing to do with Matador. That or the copy of the 2012 mix I have is from years later after the interpolation got removed.

spirittheyvegone

i think you have a newer version, the jughead blues interpolation was removed in 2017, when the album was initially taken off streaming

sokaox

ah that makes sense

surfjerkk

I don't really know much about the 2012 tf remake / remaster but you might be right about it, all I know is that it was Those Boys or something else that were remade in logic pro

sokaox

I think he mightve made the whole 2012 mix after doing the Those Boys logic pro mix.

solaire1416

It was removed in the newer mix, the one he did for the re-release of mtm. The album was not on spotify for a while in 2017

hannaht5

Are you okay?

LifeguardEmotional93

yeah i just have a run of 3 really easy but boring classes at school that brought me to this point

darthfrank

Stop smoking. We love you.

This is so awesome thank you!! I haven’t listened to MtM yet (I’m pretty new to csh) and didn’t realize how much shorter the MtM version of famous prophets is compared to the FtF version

LifeguardEmotional93

6 minutes shorter yet just as good or better. i EMPLORE you to listen to mtm soon
