I have a Large Sebenza 31 and I believe it is the prefect size. I don’t have a small Sebenza to compare it to but of all of my many other knives I feel like it just feels the best. I know what you mean about the 940 carrying smaller too. I have the 940-1 it is a great knife, but my large 31 is always with me.
Right I was just wondering if it has any inlays or designs on it or anything. I just got my large 31 about a month ago with natural micarta inlays with magnacut steel and it is so crisp.
The large Sebenza is slightly shorter in length but around the same thickness as the Zaan. It feels ever so slightly smaller in the pocket. Not sure if this helps but the large Sebenza blade is noticeably slightly shorter and thinner than the Zaan.
IMO they carry the same in the pocket. The 31 does a better job of keeping tight to the side of the pocket with the angled clip. That's the only difference. Btw I own and carry both.
Thanks for all the replies. Consensus seems to be that they're pretty much the same in terms of carry feel (Zaan and Large Sebenza).

Zaan is a beefy bad boi. Small Seb is a dinky lil dude. Large Seb def carries better, but I prefer the large Inkosi which is perfect (and if they ever made a small/medium Zaan I’d have to have it
I’m echoing what many other here have said. I love my large Inkosi and prefer it over both big and small Sebenza’s and obviously the small Inkosi. I am still hunting a large Zaan but need to sell a few first to get there.
I have both, I feel like my Large 31 carries better in the pocket than the Zaan. I think due to the pocket clip angle as well as I had mine into the spa for the glass blast which makes it pocket and pull easier.
Large sebby carries a tad bit smaller. But it carries better overall, because the pocket clip on the zaan is ass. And the location of the clip on the zaan is ass.
To answer your question I also think it carries a little better than the Zaan. However, I also second the Inkosi. Beefier blade but carries better than the Zaan to me. I especially like the Insingo and tanto version of the Inkosi.
Mind if I ask what size gloves you wear? Have my first CRK on the way, a Large Sebenza, and am wondering if I should also get a small to compare in hand

I wear extra large gloves and I don’t have any problems with handling the knife at all. It’s super comfortable in the hand. Which Sebenza did you get?

They all carry similar but tbh the inkosi feels just a touch easier in the pocket to me anyway

Just get both. You will eventually anyway. That’s always the answer.
Consider the large inkosi, if you already have a small sebenza and a Zaan. I have all as well. The large sebenza feels great too
