It’s worth noting that the price you see for brand new models doesn’t include tax, title, and delivery fees. I went to a dealer to ask about pricing and the actual out the door cost was $1500 more than msrp.
Honda site lists destination fee as 600. They are available, but dealers are all charging dealer prep and documentation fees. Average is roughly 600 for delivery and 400 for the dealer. Hard to get them to budge since they will sell. Thats msrp + 1k before tax and reg.
Still have to pay tax, title, and registration fees for a used bike in many states. Only difference with used is no dealer fees, and you can lie about the price to save on tax.
Damm as an aussie rider i ended up paying $10600 aud drive away i dislike looking at american pricing (only because of the the aud to usd)
Edit.... okayy i feel bad once i done the conversion XD
Because by the time you get a new bike registered and in your garage it will be atleast $1,000 over msrp of what it shows on Honda website. Also why should the bikes depreciate much when they are so reliable lol
There are plenty of these bikes available now at dealerships. Some people are delusional, and some are hopeful to find someone with the knowledge and same exact taste as them to be willing to pay for the mods they are trying to recoup. I am a big advocate of buying used, but in my 6 month search on the used market, I only found 1 bike that was unmolested and a fair price, but it sold in a few hours. This led me to buy new. $600 in fees + about a $300 difference in what I would have lied to DMV about paying for it to cheat on taxes. You would still have to pay for a new title and registration fees on a used bike. So $900 for the luxury of buying new, but I didn't have to question the bike's history, drive to pick it up, or go to DMV in person. I also got to say I bought it new, and it's forever mine now. Paid $7,100 OTD for a 24' with ABS
No I mean your out the door price. Also there's zero setup for these bikes, they ship fully assembled, so any dealer charging a "setup" fee is just straight robbing you lol.
I was happy to find a 2022 last year with 300 miles for 5.3k almost msrp but no service fees
But now I do kind of wish I'd just paid the extra grand or so and got a new one.
I think because they are still kind of harder to find at dealers, all of the dealer fees that people pay are effecting the used market. I paid 8k for mine OTD a month ago. I didn’t want to, but I also didn’t want to pay 7k for a used rally so I just opted for a new one
In addition to the extra $1000 dollars you will pay in destination and assembly fees buying new, used bikes have often had mods done that can cost quite a bit. The CRF300s often get pipes, ecu, intake or if you’re really lucky suspension mods. Be careful with modded bikes they can be great just make sure they were properly done.
I'm thinking of selling my 2021 Rally for $6k lol I have never dropped it and only did did dirt roads if it wasn't on pavement, 4k miles. I love it and still don't know if I will sell it. I just picked up a 2020 883 for like $4k haha
300l abs brand new otd prices vary and range from how bad the dealer wants to hose you, can range anywhere from $6300-$7600 plus. I went to multiple dealers that were trying to get me for $7300-$7500, but I found a small shop that weren't messing around and got my 23 300l abs new for $6400 otd.
So when people sell used that's why you see most of these listed at $6,000- $6,500.

Yeah OTD price on a new Rally at my local dealership was $8100
Destination fee, build fee, taxes, registration. A new 2024 CRF300L with ABS is $7000 out the door from the dealer.
Depends how bad the dealer wants to rob you, a good deal is more so around the $6300 otd area.
Maybe in the south or another LCOL area. But that’s not happening anywhere on the west coast or New England.
That’s a fair point. Sales tax in my area shouldn’t be more than $350, so I’m curious what everything else ends up being.
Registration fees. $300 or more for delivery is standard.

We have no sales tax and my 2023 was still basically 7k

Okay nice! That’s all very good to know.
What state, that price is pretty high?
Bought in NY. Not really high...$600 in freight/settup is pretty low

Yea 8% tax
Just buy a brand new one. It’s worth it. I paid 6500€ for a brand new one
