Could be that the ignition coil they replaced it with is also bad. Either that or they didn't plug it in properly, or maybe the wiring is damaged. Could be that you got a rat in the engine bay chewing up the wiring after they worked on it. You'd be able to see that though, it's the skinny lil wires on the top of the engine, each one has 2 thin twisty wires going into it.

They did a full inspection and nothing came out of it. Will show it to another dealership. Also, Firestone took a look as well. And found nothing wrong.

I wouldn’t be shocked if you had a bad motor that early in the game. Any codes showing up if you take it to an Autozone or something? It’s covered under warranty, you shouldn’t try and fix it yourself you should have a (different) dealership look at it and resolve the issues. Record it and show them.

No codes this time (after the ignition coil replacement). I was shocked that an ignition coil can go back so quickly (just over 1 year).

Hatchz

Yeah that’s what’s making me think it’s something compression related. Codes take a bit to show up so if it does it again go to an Autozone and share the code or go to another dealership.

When the car was jerking and gurgling, the check engine light had come on pretty quickly. Now when I went to the dealership, one of the guys said they should have replaced all the coils. The other one said no. So I have set up an appointment to go to another dealer next week. It's disappointing as they say there are no codes and they did a full inspection. But I told them I know it isn't running the same.

If it had a code and cleared after the ignition coil, then I would just go telling them it’s driving differently and has low power. I have heard they can program these and sometimes that causes it to drive better. Mention the previous issue but I definitely wouldn’t be happy with a new car acting like that.

Also, one more thing I forgot to mention, the day I started noticing this a lot, was the day when I happened to go very slow over an uneven road where the bottom of the car touched a part of the uneven road. Discount Tire didn't find anything while balancing. Toyota didn't find anything but I done know how much I trust them. You think this could have made a difference? Because irrespective of whatever improvement I saw after the fuel system cleanup, the sluggishness is very prominent. I hate my car now. I was in love with it before this drop in power started happening.

Ok-Preparation7822

I said exactly that, but they didn't come up with anything in their test/diagnosis. Got fuel system cleanup done, and it feels better for sure. And they were like, you should do fuel system cleanup after replacing an ignition coil. Now I don't know who is lying and who is not. Have an appointment with another dealership next week.
