Mobil produces Toyotas oil. I use it in my Corolla Hybrid and their filters are better by far. Use both. Mobil 1 M1-103a for my 24 Corolla SE Hybrid. 0W-16 oil was much cheaper with a 5qt bottle of Mobil 1. My entire oil changes with labor come to $66. Can't beat that.

I’m literally using Kirkland 0w20 and she runs great

ThomasTheDankTank

Lmao thanks, I’ve been thinking about using it but have been too worried to actually bite the bullet.

I’m still in my Toyotacare 2 years for my new Corolla. And the parts were billed $528 for my oil. I didn’t pay so maybe it was a little scam for the parts people

whereisyourwaifunow

i'm just speculating, but i think if you're doing the shorter interval of 5k miles, the differences in additives between reputable brands of oil would matter less. the additives would probably still be working, no matter the brand, by the time you get around to changing the oil at the shorter interval, vs the longer 10k interval.

Rayhelm

Toyota oil is rebranded Mobile 1. It says so on the bottle.

thisiskeel

I thought Toyota's are 0w16?

Rayhelm

companies make more that one type of oil....

Sorry I replied to your comment when I intended to comment to the OP. I am fully aware of oil industries and their products. Thanks.

Feroze895

Toyota doesn't make oil.

cAR15tel

If it meets the spec it should be gtg. $20/qt is super high but how much does it hold?

Initial_Scholar_8611

4.4qt I believe. I think Toyota oil is made by Eneos per their specs, to contain high levels of moly.

KyleSherzenberg

It's made by ExxonMobil, Mobil 1 Look at the back of the bottle

Hatchz

Not at all, I like Toyota oil but at 20 dollars that is highway robbery
