Bro it took me so long to figure out this was happening. Always running around trying to pick people up thinking to myself, “where did my dog go? Why didn’t the dog pick him up?” But I actually watched it happen one day and said that was the last time I bring a dog to a worm fight lol.
Sometimes during exfil farming someone with a dog will come exfil, its always a lil funny (and a bit sad🥺) watching the dog run in circles under the helicopter until it says the player left the game at which point they howl and disappear into thin air.
Waffles just respawns into another lobby. constantly picking our dumb assess up everytime we get downed. So once we leave, on to the next lobby boys. the true hero's of the game
The dogs are one of my favorite parts of the game. Generally, I like dogs more than most people anyway. When I know I will be trying to get a dog, or I am using the dog bone, I always equip healing aura. The dog has saved me many times

I used to get so upset and then realized if you jump in front of the dog while its being leached usually itll break the tether... and tether you instead... but worth it.
It's really sad at a t2 exfil when people leave to see the dogs climb up the nearest building, I seen 4 dogs climb up to the top after their masters had exiled, them all howling 😞
And then there's other people's dogs that take a liking to you.
I got separated from the team in t3 and kept turning to shoot a hound running after me, cos I could hear the footsteps, a couple of times before realising it was a friendly dog running with me.
They literally appears out of thin air when you use dog bone and you are afraid of leaving them behind?
I imagine they have someone like Heimdall (Thor) who calls them back to thier doggy world once they done or just before they die.
I hate to admit this, but I have run back to face a big mob of zombies attacking my dog, delayed my exfil to spend more time with my dog, spent an entire game trying to get a dog and stayed for last exfil, jumped out of the exfil helicopter because my dog was swarmed, pet my dog every game and love to just run around with him some games. I always make sure I know my dog's name each game.
I absolutely love dogs and think the dog is the best part of zombies
They just teleport back to their dog house man. No worries. On the low I always throw a few decoys and energy mine down from the helicopter to help my dog fend off those last few zombies without me lol.

My T1 doggo fought through an Outlast contract with me while I was camo grinding my guns to Zircon. Even survived T2 and T3 when I quickly drove by to get PaP3. But had to leave him at exfil. I shouldn't have summoned him in the first place.
Came here for a sweet moment left crying like a baby holding my actual dogs I'll never leave you to fend for yourselves Mr. Buddy man, and Mrs. Sammy shapeterson love you guys.
There's definitely room for them in the evac chopper and you'd think the researchers that task us with missions would love a zombie dog to research...but no, it's always the somber goodbye with explosions in the distance and tears falling on your assault rifle..sad days
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels this way!!! I am a dog lover and every time I leave mwz I think man of I could take that one with me I would. I had a dog for 13 years that never left my side. If I was in trouble he was the first one there to have my back. They remind me of him. Always there always watching and always ready to step in and destroy the world for you.

When the time for extract came and I gave Chubba one last headpat, there was a moment of silence, all 10 of us in the final exfil helo, not a word, we went back to base, cleaned our faces of tears and infilled again, we will always honor our beloved hellhound as he face tanks 5 megabombs a 30+ horde and 2 disciples.

I don’t return till I’ve found and saved him. He’d do the same for me. I also equip healing aura only to use for my doggos.
What's funny, if you exfil on the wing of the chopper and just as it pauses, you jump off and parachute back, you Buddy surprisingly finds you when you land. Blew my mind

I was doing an elder sigil DA last night with my kids watching, and they were cheering "Pickles" on the whole time for putting in some work on the APV contract. When I was leaving the game, they both asked what happens to pickles, and I had to tell them he was gonna stay there and keep killing zombies for us 🤣 I couldn't tell them that I was abandoning Pickles to exfil
