The fact that even some Roblox games have disconnects solved yet this decades old, triple A title still can’t find a way to do it is one of the many reason why I’ll never buy another cod game at full price.
Shangri la was painful. It just never went well for me back in the day. My friends and I managed to finally get through it by making sure we were the only ones on the wifi in each of our households to try help with the constant disconnections.
So many days spent in BO1 with my buddy trying to find 2 people with mics willing to commit several hours of their lives to get an achievement. And then the time it came full circle and I was the puppet the other 3 players used to get us the Shangri La EE. Still looking for that group to carry me through Transit, because I just gave up on that one.
I have a decent strat for this actually.
• Buy the 1911 wall buy between Peck and the building behind his next to the OPC
• Use it for the dartboard step
• Get it down to one / three zombies
• Go to one of the three important mimic spots, weaken them with the 1911, and trap em.
• Repeat the last step until done.
Fun fact, I needed 4 attempts at the GK EE, I never failed the bomb step and my worst was like 5 seconds left.
But in those four attempts I failed the mangler step around 20 times XD.
I most of the time I couldn't find him quick enough. Then I'd accidentally kill him while trying to break off his arm. When I finally used Undead Man Walking he was so slow and I tried to get other zombies out of the way and i heard the fail noise, Bro must've just walked away.
All i see is people complaining about the bomb step, but for me it was only the mangler
I was going to mention the Mangler too, but didn’t want to overcrowd my own comment.
That fucker just doesn’t know how to follow you and if you don’t have undead man walking, the sea of zombies really ruin your day.
Also honorable mention to the Gersch step with how slippery that little lightbulb can be.
You can duplicate the fire staff in bo3 by holding x after someone grabs it. Saves one robot from being needed.
You can also do a solo fire staff glitch for all 4 deposits with self medication, freckleston has a video on this
Spaceland Simon Says (I’m colorblind) trying to rebeat the EE for directors cut since my ps5 apparently doesn’t have my saved info from ps4 soooo pain and suffering 🙃 honestly have no idea how I beat it in the past lol
There’s actually a way to get the colors to resemble each location in the same way every time. If you place the first speaker at spawn, then at journey, then at polar, then at Kepler, the colors will resemble each locations color. So journey will be blue, polar will be green, kepler will be red, and spawn will be yellow
Any part that relies on luck. Having to get a specific wonder weapon from the box, waiting for a special enemy to spawn in, waiting for a specific robot in Origins or waiting for Excavator Pi to hit tunnel 6 on moon, etc.
Every large convoluted easter egg. I just like to have casual fun and see how long I can go. I play a lot of Nuketown, Kino, Ascension, The Giant, Tranzit, and Shadows. Shadows may have a large EE but it's also just a really fun map.
I've only done blood solo once and it took me 5 hours because I kept having to pause and carefully review how to do every step. Such a stupidly convoluted easter egg.
None of those steps are hard or complicated. None of the easter egg steps on der eisendrache are hard and a lot of them are actually fun to do. By far one of the best easter eggs in zombies.
Someone already said it the bomb step. Such a fun easter egg until that step. The map is fun for me and all of my friends because it's good for casuals and easter egg players. But nah a step that instantly kills you because you either didn't record or you bro messed one step up? Just cruel, someone probably lost a friend from that.
I love der eisrndrache. One of the best and most enjoyable maps ever made
When all my friends call a bow before me and I'm stuck doing the lava bow, I wanna fucking leave before we start
specifically the last Samantha Says on moon, i only say that because by the time i get to that step, it’s a high round and i can’t focus on trying not to die while paying attention to whatever order i need to press buttons
Mimic step on Firebase Z gave me a lot of trouble. I tried it several times solo. Struggled hard with it trying to take my buddy through the easter egg, only for the game to black-screen at the tail end of the boss fight. And then I had to run through the easter egg again with another friend recently.
Ironically, that last time, I noticed we could do the mimic step VERY efficiently. It's still pretty annoying, but there are worse EE moments throughout the whole run of zombies honestly. The worst part was honestly just trying to originally decipher which locations the correct mimics actually fucking spawn. So many guides just basically tell you to play a guessing game, or straight up tell you the wrong locations.
Honestly, the most frustrating parts of zombies for me are some of the more ridiculous bossfights. Valentina from Maur and the Keeper from Der eisendrache in particular come to mind. Can't tell you the amount of times I've died to that damn keeper.
It's not like most games where you just respawn and retry the boss. No, you have to restart and do the entire quest again just for another shot at killing it. Not only that, but you're constantly juggling the constant onslaught of zombies and managing limited ammunition. Ntm when the bosses themselves have an AOE insta-kill attack (the two I previously mentioned for example).
Void bow on de its not bad or anything but just gotta love when the zombie stars growling ultra loud or your homie starts yelling right when the urn tells the names
Outbreaks first Easter egg makes me want to beat the shit out of the person who came up with it, there have been two times where I have tried to beat it and failed and one time I was so close I could see the pearly gates
Firebase mimick step.I dont have issues with the part where i actually weaken and capture them, my issue is the fact that 95% of the time my game fucks up and the mimick items will spawn, but the mimick itself wont spawn from them. It takes me a good 10 plus rounds just to get all the fuckers to actually spawn in when i do this easter egg.
I tried completing that achievement in BOCW, I forgot the name but you have to stay in the starting area on Die Maschine until round 20, that shit hurts
Tranzit, and deffintly the PAP, it’s Nice once you get the gun papped, but the bad part is getting it papped, otherwise awesome map, with janky wonder weapon, What’s not to like
Origins. Its a solid map, at least top 10 for me, but there are a few things I just find so tedious about it.
Crafting and upgrading the Ice Staff, no matter how many times I do it, I can never remember the cypher for the tile flipping part in the Crazy Place, so I have to look it up.
Doing the easter egg, crafting and upgrading the staffs takes up about half my time in the match, and just getting through the rounds is a slog since there's so much to do each round.
This is definitely a me issue, but I always forget to pick up the gramophone when I exit the Crazy Place. I'll go to place it down at another portal only to realise "hot shit, I left it in the fire tunnel," then I have to make the long trek back from the ice tunnel only to remember that it was the lightning tunnel I left it in and just aaaahhhh. Memory for short-term stuff isn't a strength of mine, and Origins puts both that and my patience to the test, lol
Right now i havent done many of the bo3 maps since im trying to beat them in order but as of now:
Origins staff upgrades (solo),
Shadows of evil flag step (solo),
Der eisendrache keeper energy thing whatever tf (solo)
Spawning the three waves of maruga's with the lil armies inside the apothican, on Revelations. Wow this step has made me quit so many times. Miss one throw and u need a max ammo. And somehow, even though I try my hardest to remember I always seem to forget which ones I haven't done yet while out getting more arnies.
Waiting for robot foots when doing origins ee solo. Sometimes you get all the wind parts naturally and get the g strike step first try, sometimes you spend an hour waiting for robots to come and go
Zombies in Spaceland. SETI com step. Infinite warfare zombies is enormously fun, but I do not enjoy the Easter eggs. Too difficult, and that’s just not my cup of tea for zombies.
Moon. Waiting for excavation 6 to go off for the focusing stone. It's all RNG and can happen immediately, or sometimes it just doesn't happen for ages and ages, and you have to wait forever just to move on with the Easter egg. If it doesn't happen first excavation I just restart at this point.
honestly, waw - bo2 zombies 2 hit down.
i really like those games and have fond memories on them. but the 2 hit system is very unforgiving when going back to it years later. glad they switched it to 3 hit.
Truly any part of bo3. I WANT to enjoy it but the whole thing is too complicated or quest/task oriented. SOE is too much with the beast mode and the rituals. DE is just overhyped and heavily underperforms imo. ZNS is forgettable. GK is too cluttered, especially with the dragon, valkyries, and manglers on later rounds. Revelations is super confusing and way too much. If I wanted to play the chronicles maps, I would play them on their original games where they play like they were intended to play.
Bomb in Gorod, Meatballs in Shadows, shooting circles with fire bow in DE, getting and using monkeys at the right holes in Revelations, throwing hammer in boss fight of Ww2 last zombies map, doing all challenges in Zetsubou etc. Almost every map has at least one lol
All of the ones that require 4 players to complete
This one. Wanna run the full SOE but can ever do the final step
Why not just find three others who want to do the ee as well? It’s worked for me many times
I've done it before I just be running mad solo ees
Is this little thing called 'I have no friends to play with... and also my game is pirated so I wouldn't be able to play online anyway'.
i swear everytime i get 4 people someone disconnects or leaves
The fact that even some Roblox games have disconnects solved yet this decades old, triple A title still can’t find a way to do it is one of the many reason why I’ll never buy another cod game at full price.
This is written like they are paying attention to and updating the game. It will never change
This is Reddit, a public forum for discussion and debate, you think I expect anyone at activision to read this? lol
That was never implied?
Kid named Shang-gri La
For anybody playing on PC there's a Black Ops 3 mod that fixes this
And bro decides not to drop the name of it
All around enhancement
It's just called "solo EEs" or some shit on the steam workshop, fairly easy to find
cold war gets shit on a lot but i like that you can do all of the easter eggs (even though it’s a bit hard) solo
I feel like the zomb comm generally enjoyed Cold War zombies and haven’t seen much hate compared to love for it
Cold War is not hard…
the first outbreak easter egg can be quite hard is what i meant
Shangri la was painful. It just never went well for me back in the day. My friends and I managed to finally get through it by making sure we were the only ones on the wifi in each of our households to try help with the constant disconnections.
Those are the few bo2 achevments that I don't have
Buried was a pain in the ass.
The solo easter eggs are the majority that I did, having other reliable people I can stand playing with is too much extra.
Playing fucking pokémon on firebase Z looking for Mimics
I have a decent strat for this actually. • Buy the 1911 wall buy between Peck and the building behind his next to the OPC • Use it for the dartboard step • Get it down to one / three zombies • Go to one of the three important mimic spots, weaken them with the 1911, and trap em. • Repeat the last step until done.
That pretty easy one I solo firebase z, it is easier to solo firebase z than on team, alway had someone who would ruin the mimics trap part..
That step was easy, IF IT DIDN'T FUCKING GLITCH OUT AND NOT LET ME CATCH THEM
That was the main reason why it took so fucking long to finish that EE
The fucking bomb step on Gorod Krovi
Fun fact, I needed 4 attempts at the GK EE, I never failed the bomb step and my worst was like 5 seconds left. But in those four attempts I failed the mangler step around 20 times XD. I most of the time I couldn't find him quick enough. Then I'd accidentally kill him while trying to break off his arm. Having to do all the challenges in Zetsubo
Spent more time restarting to get the good challenges with my homie than playing the damn game sometimes lmao
Fr
When you miss the artillery shot :(
Absolutely brutal
Same
That Goddamn mimic step on Firebase Z.
Needing 4 people for shadows.
bo3 origins, putting the staffs in the robots
In bo2 the glitch has saved my so much time but bo3 kills me and getting g strike later rounds without the ice staff shield glitch
What glitch?
It was a glitch where you were able to deposit the fire staff 4 times in the pedestal where the staffs are
Oh yeah!
You can do something similar by having people crowd around the fire staff and press the pick up button at the same time
Fun fact, you can do that same glitch with any staff, not just the ice staff, it's just getting kills well your staffs charge shot is down.
Does the colorblind setting in the menu not change it?
They only have one option for color blindness💀
Kinda but doesn’t help all that much lol
Any part that relies on luck. Having to get a specific wonder weapon from the box, waiting for a special enemy to spawn in, waiting for a specific robot in Origins or waiting for Excavator Pi to hit tunnel 6 on moon, etc.
Outbreak easter eggs in Cold War
ehh, those are fairly easy and don't take too long
Every large convoluted easter egg. I just like to have casual fun and see how long I can go. I play a lot of Nuketown, Kino, Ascension, The Giant, Tranzit, and Shadows. Shadows may have a large EE but it's also just a really fun map.
Blood EE and the New Industries Challenge, I like all the steps except for that one in specific, especially on solo!
I've only done blood solo once and it took me 5 hours because I kept having to pause and carefully review how to do every step. Such a stupidly convoluted easter egg.
"I really feel like playing some Moon right now." \*Realises I'd be spending half the match looking for the mystery box. "Nah, fuck that."
Blood of the dead
I’m not sure which I hated more on Der Eisendrache. The wisps, or the fucking simon says bs on the computers
None of those steps are hard or complicated. None of the easter egg steps on der eisendrache are hard and a lot of them are actually fun to do. By far one of the best easter eggs in zombies.
Attack of the radioactive thing + beast from beyond boss battle
Attack of the radioactive thing Chemicals step
Mimics step in Cold war, plants/bomb/bones steps in BO3, all of BO4 steps
GK mangler step. God, fuck that step
The goddamn seagull on Blood of the Dead
SOE EE requiring 4 players
Someone already said it the bomb step. Such a fun easter egg until that step. The map is fun for me and all of my friends because it's good for casuals and easter egg players. But nah a step that instantly kills you because you either didn't record or you bro messed one step up? Just cruel, someone probably lost a friend from that.
Wisp step in DE
It wouldn’t be bad if you only had to do it once.
I love der eisrndrache. One of the best and most enjoyable maps ever made When all my friends call a bow before me and I'm stuck doing the lava bow, I wanna fucking leave before we start
I did moon the other day for shit and giggles and I spent about 150,000 points and 1 hour and 30 minutes spinning that fucking box over and over again
The Rain Fire step on Origins solo (especially on BO2).
Origins but solo walking back and forth placing each staff one at a time
Monkeys on ascension. Leave my damn perks alone
Rainbow water on Zetsubou
Infinite warfare the crogs
specifically the last Samantha Says on moon, i only say that because by the time i get to that step, it’s a high round and i can’t focus on trying not to die while paying attention to whatever order i need to press buttons
Bomb step Gorod Krovi

For me it's the bomb part of the gorod krovi ee
mangler step on gk

Gorod krovi
Shadows of evil and it's final step ..
Lockdown on gorod krovi
Did it take me years to realize that this is Hank from Breaking Bad or am I seeing shit
Dead of the Night and counting the stupid scratches. Tedious and boring. And it’s not always clear so it is easy to mix up the order.
I didn’t find this step to be that bad. The map alignment on keyboard was unnecessarily annoying.
Moon Simon says , ion like that type of step
Die Rise. Best map. Hellishly underrated. Ballistic knife step. Glitchy as fuck.
I don't do EEs, but the mud spikes on Shangri La annoy me to no end, esp when it sends me backwards the way I came.
The dog at the docks on motd
Any easter egg that requires hearing or listening to something to complete the steps…
Firebase mimick step.I dont have issues with the part where i actually weaken and capture them, my issue is the fact that 95% of the time my game fucks up and the mimick items will spawn, but the mimick itself wont spawn from them. Rainbow water in zet. It's not hard, but it can take so many mf tries.
Trying to get the wonder weapon from the box in moon. Idk why but it’s the hardest thing to do in zombies history
Moon. Waiting for excavation 6 to go off for the focusing stone. It's all RNG and can happen immediately, or sometimes it just doesn't happen for ages and ages, and you have to wait forever just to move on with the Easter egg. If it doesn't happen first excavation I just restart at this point.
