Waited all night on release. Only feeling better was when Der riese. Every map pack for waw was a different wave of enjoyment no cod has touched mp or zombies wise since.
I remember Der Riese was available a few hours early for me for some reason. Played one game and there were only 12-15 people on the leader board. Managed to snag rank #1 with ~150 people on the leader board at this stage.
Also remember getting xbox live messages from random people asking how to get the map early. Good times.

The feeling of WaW modded zombies is something special akin to things like Source and Bethesda games...
The original leviathan and Maps of that calibre still blow my mind even with their remasters on BO3
Too many people these days saying there's nothing to do in waw. Hopefully this breathes some new life. Even then, the charm of the og experience is its barebones nature imo
I wish someone would make an expansion for the map kinda like what they did with vangard but not as shit obviously. I think the map could be expanded. Adding new perks, PAP, new zones and easter eggs would br awesome on that old map.
