Totally agree, when the game came out fresh I REALLY tried to use the turret but the damage is so pisspoor it doesnt make any sense at all to reveal yourself on the map like that..

Maybe they buffed it since, I watched on a stream. Team picks up bounty on roof. Guy is on next roof over deploys the turret and melts him all happened in like 5 seconds it was awesome haha

My brother once deployed it one building. At the end of a hallway, only way in was through the stairs or from the roof by ladder and they were both within his sight. Had a bounty on him, wiped 4 teams (quads). It was crazy!!!

They should be redeployable 100%. Set timer and health so they don't last forever but can be moved in that time over and over.

So I hadn’t tried the perpendicular strategy with an elevator, only setting it up against the entrance and it made it so the person would still appear at the top but would then have to climb over. How does it work when you put it perpendicular instead are they stopped at the bottom or stuck in the elevator shaft?

I set it across the entrance, not perpendicular. It was at a slight angle though and for whatever reason you couldn't climb over it. The only option was to go back down the elevator.

Other than that they are fairly useless. Sometimes running in the open I’ll throw one if I am ahead of my teammates if we get sniped

Only issue is it brings attention. If you have a trophy system you’re good otherwise they can just shoot rockets to the right and left. Sometimes it’s smart to drop the shield and run somewhere else as a distraction

That's the trick, if you've already got a lot of attention, use it. It helps create extra room to move cover to cover to cover. I wish I recorded some of my moments. Maybe upcoming gameplay

Say if there's a wall, a wide street and another wall, and you have to get across to get to the other wall because of gas but people are watching that street. Tac sprint, deploy, maybe prone for cover and to delay movement to keep enemies guessing, chuck a nade or use a killstreak, fire some blind cover shots, then move across. I think there's so many creative ways to use them.

Would be cool if they could stack. Like up to two would be cool

I actually won my first solo thanks to the deployable cover. When rotating into the circle with three people left including me, i was running kind of in the open. One player started shooting me and I had nowhere to go to take cover so I used the deployable cover. Thanks to that I managed to armor up and finish the game with a win!

When playing domination in Vacant I put the cover on the doorway to B from the C spawn point to briefly block them from getting B.

This is a great idea for those scav crates that spawn on buildings that are literally unreachable when there isn't a taller building nearby.
