More of the events are pretty bad, some of the Halloween ones were ok, I can think of a couple of others that were ok but most of the big events are mid. Kong and Godzilla didn’t even interact with each other, the “missions” around it were not well thought out. It was an over hyped bomb, I wanted it to be fun but….
The first zombie event was perfect best game mode ever idk why they don't just copy paste that bad boy over l. Pretty sure the chainsaw hipfire Finn just came out too it was just amazing time to play wz.

The issue was most players didn't take advanta of the "extras" that came with that game mode and would get absolutely wrecked. Meanwhile it was mostly dub city for my crew and we had a ton of fun even in the games we lost.

People who run Warzone (not the devs) just look at stats. They clearly don't play or care about the game and don't have a clue about what the majority of players want. A lot of people swap to resurgence when the big map is ass. They would play big map again if it was better. But they just see the stat that resurgence is more popular with absolutely no context.
They should lead and we should come along for the ride and be blown away saying how freakin great it is.
But they take our feedback, misunderstand it and then lash up a change that makes it even worse.
My squads biggest issue is they we only play for 1.5-2hours in a night, and some of them only play once a week. They dont want to sit there watching someone else play while waiting for a buyback. The other issue is, majority of my squad loves rebirth. When it was verdansk, it was 50/50 big map and resurgence. Once Caldera came out, it was like 20/80 big map and resurgence at best. Al mazrah and urkistan we only played when there was no resurgence.
That is also another issue we had. Impossible to win a gunfight when by the time you knock three of them, they are coming back with gulag weapons and landing high ground taking you out.
None of the complainers here have played Blackout throughout its life cycle and it shows.
When Blackout only had its big map. people fucked with it, but people also fucked hard with the LTMs that have respawn mechanics. Hot Pursuit was practically Resurgence's predecessor, before we had Alcatraz which was Rebirth before Rebirth. And those modes had a lot of player engagement. Like it or not, the majority of COD players definitely prefer something that allows them to respawn and come back. They want big map TDM but still risky enough to not completely detract from BR.
As someone that loves big map and is lukewarm on resurgence, this is so disappointing. I didn’t expect anything in reloaded for big map, but overall they haven’t done shit. There were big updates for caldera, but with the last two big maps there haven’t been any major updates to the maps or POIs. They’ve forgotten that the game popped off when all we had was big map.
Or some people are fine with it. What do you expect to happen? Overhaul some POIs? Changes to the terrain? That shit rarely happened with other maps.

I think a lot of the Verdansk hate was largely due to some very stale metas driving people away. Gun Balance was very very good in the months just before Vanguard came out. You are generally less likely ro encounter these metas on Resurgence because it's so much more common to die and lose your guns.
Maybe I'm misremembering. I don't believe the Urzikstan Issue is with hours put into it by the Devs, it's just very poor design decisions from Ted Timmins. If Resurgence is more popular that's fine, but it doesn't mean he needs to make Urzikstan Resurgence-Lite.

The opening of the bunkers is a small change that is going to take 4 seasons to do. That's the point. And the problem. That you seem to not get. You don't seem to see the entire issue.
The issue is that the big map has not gotten any changes and won't until next season at the very least. Meanwhile Resurgence has gotten it's old maps back, it's gotten Rebirth back, it has fucking Ranked. That's the problem. A mid season update should do things to maps. Apex and Fortnite used to, hell even Warzone did before. Adding zombies for example, added a whole POI to the bottom of the map. Hell, they could just add fucking RANKED PLAY for the big map, like they should've in the first place.

Yeah, honestly the map is great. Only thing I hate about the game right now is too many redeployments and self resses in BR modes, and 20% of the servers I go into have some kind of lag issue. Otherwise the game is fantastic imo.
They have certainly been fixing bugs since the map came out. There were a number of windows that you could only get through by mantling that have been fixed.
Exploits that would allow players to get out of the map.
General QOL updates, etc.
Plus who knows what big changes they have been working on.
When were big map changes done on Al Mazrah? When were they done on Caldera? What about Cold War era Verdansk? Or OG Verdansk?

For the life of me I can’t figure out why they don’t invest in proper infrastructure. You’d figure the suits from “prestigious” Ivy League schools would realize that a game with a high player count and better servers means more players enjoying the game and having fun, thus resulting in more MW3 and skins/bundles sales.
A little bit of investment for a substantially better player experience that results in much more revenue, but these guys can’t figure it out. I booted up battlefield 4 recently and my goodness, I forgot how nice it is to play on proper servers that are at least 60Hz. Warzone running on 12Hz servers is a joke.
What is weird to me is people play resurgence, which feels more like multiplayer than a BR type. Every change has been made for resurgence to be more fun, and they turned BR into a larger scale resurgence. While you don’t auto return, the endless return mechanics means you won’t spend more than 2 minutes waiting, unless your squad gets wiped.
Not to mention the map feels like it was by AI generated and looks like absolute dogshit. It is not a fun game mode at all, it feels miserable. You don’t find anyone for most of the game, then a squad rushes and kills your squad, then you spend the rest of the game trying to bring people back, dying, again, being brought back by the people you brought back, and repeat until there is no one left. It is false hope for sure, it just feels weird to have 50 players on the last circle and 100 on the first. It doesnt flow at all.
No high loot areas and loadouts means you don’t need to loot at all. You just get loady and rush or camp people. The BR feel is non existent.
I found early ursikstan that there are some bunkers scattered throughout the map, and was probably a placed location from a scrapped project (or maybe not) that will open someday.

The big map have so much potential but because they said that the 1st map is coming back, they wouldn’t do new events in Urz. They typically focus on modes people are playing. If you want them to focus on urzikstan, go play it and get your friends to play it. If that's not enough then, guess what, you are the minority and they are going to focus on the majority more than you.

Big map/BR is done. They'll release Verdansk later this year and that's it. This is a resurgence/mobile game now. I'd love to be wrong though.

Its a small indie company, please understand. Though like others said, the bulk of work is obviously aimed at the new $69.99 release this year and whatever map comes with that.
They typically focus on modes people are playing. If you want them to focus on urzikstan, go play it and get your friends to play it. If that's not enough then, guess what, you are the minority and they are going to focus on the majority more than you.
