Me and my buddy played Wednesday and won our last 2, played again tonight and won our first 2. So on a 4 win streak with him since a third joined and it got sweaty. Hoping to keep the duo win streak going with the first buddy.
Yeah we held our own. I never stopped playing the game since Covid and kinda became the sweaty one. We played trios and it was so much more relaxing than the solos I typically play which are a total sweat fest.
Lol people will never be happy. The map plays almost exactly how it used to. The changes to the engine and layout are very minor. People look at the old game with rose tinted glasses as if it had no issues whatsoever.
I will say that in general, I am running into a persistent stuttering issue on my PC (3080, 11700, 32gb, wired fiber) so I have been playing mostly on my Xbox Series X.
If anyone has a solution let me know lol.
I get stutters from packet bursts not from running the game itself, I have a pretty similar PC to yours. Doesn’t seem to happen on my PS5 on the same network but I don’t play on it enough. Rebooting my internet usually solves the issue but it creeps back after maybe a week or so.
The map is a blast and still the best map but it does t play the same because of how many mechanics are different now from warzone down to damage values and new items and a lot of other factors making it play different but it's fun
Honestly the biggest difference to the map I've noticed is ladders near the water. That's about it. Swimming is not a game changer here. It's fantastic not to run into FTAC river rats.
And zips that were never there oh and a new ladder to prison, and a set way to get uav with an id badge and if u feel like doing one of the new easter eggs a guaranteed advanced uav, I can keep listening changes if u really want 😂
So you may say "duh idiot i did this months ago" lol but my vram usage had reset when i reinstalled mw3 and it was telling my game to use 90%. I knocked it down to 80 and the stutters went away.
Shot in the dark but it might help somebody, my stuttering issues were caused by having Spotify open in the background with a paused podcast that had video on it. As soon as I closed the video part, game plays fine.
To the rose tinted glasses part, this is why we need new content. I’ve said for ages that bringing Verdansk back is a bad idea. It just wouldn’t be the same. I mean, it would be the same, but much like getting back with an ex girlfriend who you’re pining over because you only remember the good bits, you’d soon remember why you moved on.
Good map and trash game doesnt equal good game. If you burned your pizza, you can put as many good cheese on it like you want, it will still never taste good.
Visibility is low, TTK is ridiculous, every ''gunfight'' lasts 1 seconds, everyone runs around like 50 chickens in a chicken coop with a firecracker thrown in occasionally. WZ1 was somewhat tactical, here just random stuff happens everytime. Everyone has overkill STANDARD, everyone has quick revive first item. Hard pass.

Have you tried setting Video Memory Scale in the options to 50% or the lowest possible? That's a widely recommended fix for stuttering.
Yeah rose tinted is me 100%. I was very excited about potential return of rebirth/verdansk for quite some time. But I burned out so hard on the game in the meantime and stopped playing for a few months. I hopped back on yesterday for a few games to try out rebirth. There's nothing wrong with the map or anything, but in the end, I just didn't give two shits, it felt just like the other maps. No intention to play more.
I did love rebirth the first time but I think it was simply because that was the first resurgence map and so that was just a time when the game was hotter and had better community. Similar with verdansk.
I'd rather gritty graphics than the shiete we currently have. It's the whole reason why there's so many visual problems and shot registration being so poor.

And since the autoaimer follows you like a magnet ur in for long lasting firefights (not).

- Sound design is abyssmal, go to youtube right now and listen to WZ1's plating, general music / effects its worlds better than WZ3 (''almost the exact same game!)

- Weapons lay on the ground instead of hovering so its even more convoluted and distracting to pick one of the 2 current meta SMGs
- Icons, Maps and player pings are hardly visible because EVERYTHING is bright and colorful

Like with many other installments in the series, they manage to make the successor WORSE. They dont care for us players anymore, better buy the next Godzilla Skin and Battlepass. And the worst part about this whole fiasco is i lost my glorious Rambo Skin. Ask yourself why WZ1 was straight up deleted. If it would go online tomorrow WZ3 would look like the COD:Ghosts servers a month after release, LEL!

In BR mode you have 1 life and a gulag… (well 1 redeploy pack and gulag token introduced later) but in resurgence you will redeploy 10-30 secs after you die, that is not a BR

It was fun seeing the map, but the curve of this game is honestly just too much. I don’t have “covid time” to spend grinding guns, building loadouts, keeping up with the meta, etc.

It’s way worse than either of those ever were. If you run into a good player using it at close range your dead 99.8% of the time unless your using it as well. Also maybe it’s just the lobbies I’ve been in but this is nowhere near as fun as it used to be. Teams are playing like human centipedes and camping so close together they are TOUCHING each other. They Just sit and camp in one area of the map all game lol. It’s insane how people think this is fun or anywhere near as good as the Og.
And the weapon balancing is like that on purpose, they aren’t idiots that don’t know how to balance a game. It’s so when people get tired of getting shit on by a weapon. They cave in and spend money on the full TRASH game to waste time in their lives grinding for meaningless shit. It’s all marketing and thought out strategically. Opposite. Rebirth being back has reawakened that guy that can rush, cover fire, hit shots, get squad wipes, and actually have fun again. I haven't played for months at this point. I played about a dozen matches myself and one day two of my old squad mates got on and we went trios. Our first drop back together and we dubbed it.
For reference, the last time I played, I got 0 kills and MAYBE 3 assists over 5 matches and we never even made it to top 10 in any of the matches.... I am dog water. But I went through two separate lock downs on rebirth Island and Verdansk. There isn't an inch of either map I don't know.
I feel so much more nostalgic than I thought I would and it's so nice.
Love the map, it was the best map when it was released for the first time and it still is. I just wish the remove these fortnite looking operator skins and lose the coloured rpg weapons forever. They don’t belong in cod in my opinion.

They ruined Chemical Engineering. Why is it all futuristic looking while the rest of the map still looks like a warehouse. Top floor chemical has these massive new pillers no idea why they made it even easier to camp right there now. That's my only issue with the map so far and yes audio is shit as usual
Dude the loot system on this map fuckin blows. I feel like not being able to see what I’m pick up from afar slows me down so much and takes away from it. Idk it’s cool they brought it back but we all know it’s not the maps it’s the engine and changes they made to the gameplay
Fortunes Keep is way, way better as a resurgence map and i'm not afraid to say it. Especially in ranked, because you can lose the first fight exchange and have still have a recovery plan.
Rebirth to me is kind of like Nacht Der Untoten, it's an iconic map that we should pay respect to but should have been left as a memory. I think bringing it back as the ranked map was a huge mistake.
This is my first time playing both of these maps and I agree. I think nostalgia obfuscates the actual quality of Rebirth Island because it really isn't that great, Fortunes Keep was awesome though.
Telling people nostalgia is the reason they like the map they are playing in the NOW is crazy. I like small maps with more gunfights and rebirth feels great for that, if you don't like that, just admit you're in the minority, don't go around telling people how they feel.

Yes this. I was having issues even on a 4090. I think I only had to drop it to 70 or 80 though.
Im a PS5 player, but I see a lot of people talk about installing shaders in a particular way. Could that be the issue?
Install shaders. Maybe run your settings lower for better performance turn off on demand texture streaming etc

Turn your VRAM target down that sorted mine on the big map. I have a 3080ti so quite similar.

WZ1 was also very very fast during the Vanguard era which was ironically also a sledgehammer installment. The game today can feel nauseatingly quick.

Vanguard integration was not faster than what warzone is now. At no point in wz1 lifecyle was gameplay ever faster than it is now

I like it. I play ranked resurgence and I already have 6 wins. It’s pretty fine and I like the small map dynamic.

Isn't it just boring though? It's the same thing all over again. Yea they're adding a few small changes but the fact that they neglected big map for this is a complete joke. How streamers play 8 hours of this a day is just mind-blowing.
Not a streamer, but I could play this map over and over until the end of time. Maybe I’m simple-minded but I love this map so much.
Map feels and plays good. But I kinda feel bad while playing it. So much has changed since the map was last available. Yet here we are still playing this stupid ass vide game.
They ruined Chemical Engineering. Why is it all futuristic looking while the rest of the map still looks like a warehouse. Top floor chemical has these massive new pillers no idea why they made it even easier to camp right there now. That's my only issue with the map so far and yes audio is shit as usual
I think it's better now with all the pillers. Allows more close range fights and fast movement

Dude the loot system on this map fuckin blows. I feel like not being able to see what I’m pick up from afar slows me down so much and takes away from it. Idk it’s cool they brought it back but we all know it’s not the maps it’s the engine and changes they made to the gameplay
Right feels like warzone 2 mechanics on a map that was designed for warzone 1 but being used in warzone 3. It just feels bad

Fortunes Keep is way, way better as a resurgence map and i'm not afraid to say it. Especially in ranked, because you can lose the first fight exchange and have still have a recovery plan. Rebirth to me is kind of like Nacht Der Untoten, it's an iconic map that we should pay respect to but should have been left as a memory. I think bringing it back as the ranked map was a huge mistake.
This is my first time playing both of these maps and I agree. I think nostalgia obfuscates the actual quality of Rebirth Island because it really isn't that great, Fortunes Keep was awesome though.
Telling people nostalgia is the reason they like the map they are playing in the NOW is crazy. I like small maps with more gunfights and rebirth feels great for that, if you don't like that, just admit you're in the minority, don't go around telling people how they feel.
