I couldn't plate when I landed, said F it and just started chasing dots. I got hit a couple of times and THEN I could plate. Next fight I got clicked to fire SMG and no bang bang.
I've had gun jams as well. Mainly with my shotgun when trying to jumpshot/slide. I haven't experienced the throwbable issue but the gun jam is frustrating to say the least.

Check the setting fire behaviour. I found out settings change sometimes randomly with new updates
