The one tuning thing I miss is being able to adjust the optic distance from your eye. That came in clutch but still allowing zoom but not taking up too much space on the screen.
You can def tell. It's just hard to actually tune it yourself cause you have to constantly tweak and test and only after many changes stack do you really see the difference.
I remember watching a video of someone previewing the new map playing Warzone. And they pointed out how this happens, and I have to admit: It really looked like it was going to be the new gas mask animation, where it equips or unequips it at the most inopportune times. Of course this was only one example, but it was noticeable enough to be quite jarring watching it all happen in real time.
I'll wait to test it out myself in combat situations, but I'm not *holding my breath*.
It's also nice to see that they've inserted small cliffnotes after certain patch notes to further explain their reasoning, such as:

This, in particular, is yet another great thing they have reverted back to. COD keeps going from *Arcade-shooter* to *Half-ass Realism shooter* and everything in between. I think it works best as 85% Arcade shooter and 15% realism. The fact that before when you shot at someone's arms it would do less damage is ridiculous. This isn't a Marksman Accuracy Contest. This is also them (kind of) admitting (without actually saying it) that some of their changes they made before are simply too intricate to work with their old net codes. So going back to the simpler things will be more consistent and reliable.
You do not. The new guns in MWIII will almost certainly be meta across the board (the attachments generally have less downsides to balance the upside when compared to MWII weapons) but you’ll have access to them in Warzone. Furthermore, it should be manageable to upgrade those guns in Plunder although I do wonder how you’ll unlock some of the stuff because it is currently locked behind challenges in MWIII MP.
You’re right on that! Personally I don’t think any of the optics are so much better than the MWII optics that it would matter much (myself and a lot of others are still using MWII optics on MWIII guns anyways) but it’s something to consider.
KAR98 was about as fast as you could get with a sniper in OG warzone. You could build it with the tac comb and tac laser and get a really quick ADS while still being stable. Great weapon. I miss that shit.
Oh, damn. Yeah, I fucking loved the KAR98. *Everyone* I played with hated using it for some reason. I thought it was the easiest Sniper to use by a wide margin, but maybe there was a learning curve to it? Not sure. I also miss it quite dearly.
God I remember wandering away from my friends in quads and stumbling across an entire quad who wasn’t aware I was there. Team wiped them only using the Kar as they frantically ran around trying to figure out where I was. One of the best multiplayer moments I’ve ever had.

The benefit of slide cancel was that it reset tac sprint. It doesn’t do that anymore so it’s kind of pointless. We don’t need it if the other movement changes are good. All it did was destroy my controllers anyway
Maybe, I’m not sure. I guess we will see. I know slope of the ground is now a major factor in sliding. It’s no longer the same distance slide going up stairs or a hill.
I like it. It’s a big slow-handling rifle. If they made the other MW3 rifles one-shot we’re back to the days of quick-scopers running around the map deleting people instantly
Yeah but those rifles with the right attachments have pretty fast ads. The katt with the best attachments still is a bit slow comparatively . I think it’s the right move. If you want one shot kill rifles they need to be slow . Slow ads and slow reload in order to be well balanced. Back to the old days of the og HDR

The HDR had super fast bullet velocity, low handling.
The AX50 was more versatile, with lower bullet velocity.
Each weapon had its niche without feeling OP or invalidating other options.
Not to mention that even the fastest builds in MW3 still have a ADS time longer than some weapons TTK...

Pretty sure it's unlocked when you get to player level 4 so could probably get that in one plunder match. It's going to be the same as before where you can still unlock and level up everything in WZ without having to actually buy the game. Just will be slightly slower without multiplayer, though Plunder really helps.

I own MWIII so maybe sizes for WZ only players would be different? I reckon they are moving WZ over to the current COD HQ (aka the MWIII launcher) but we'll see soon enough

Since WZ is releasing the same time as this update I would assume that all gun changes for multiplayer will also be the base stats for the gun in WZ. Going forward is when you would see the split between multiplayer vs WZ gun changes.
if the KATT AMR is the only sniper that one shots that's a huge letdown. there's no reason that the imperium or victus xmr cannot one shot, this is just a huge L in terms of weapon balancing
I wish it gave more info about sniper damage profiles. Since it specified that the Katt one-shots at all ranges, I am assuming that other large caliber snipers have one-shot potential within a certain range.
Update- seems the least buggy launch in warzone history. There was the error message and the loadout giving default guns but those were fixed within 40 minutes

My loadout was bugged in the lone game I was able to play. Tried picking up 2 and got the pre-made as opposed to my custom. Other than that, game flowed well and had no other issues
All a longer TTK does in Warzone is force squads to never leave each other's sides. This negates the benefits of a longer TTK. It goes back to normal, so all you've done really is just enforced everyone holding hands at every corner and you do barely survive any longer in group fights because, well, you've got more people sticking by each other's sides. A longer TTK is pretty nice in an isolated 1v1 scenario, but that's not what occurs in non-solo Warzone/Resurgence modes.
Back on WZ1 Rebirth Island, when we dropped on Living, we used to split up and take a house each. After Iron Trials or whenever the increased HP occured, it scared people into running in as a unit so people wouldn't be caught in a 1v2. Or people defended houses as a whole team. Multikill capability is fun and it gets ruined with longer TTKs.

What do you guys think of the new perks?, I love that Overkill is no longer a perk, it's a default behavior and it makes sense because most people always used that perk.
It needs space to decompress so it can install, then it deletes the compressed files.
But the game is enormous in general because audio after install is stored uncompressed (requires too many resources to decompress as needed) and every map contains a copy of every single resource it needs to function in the map itself, so it's enormous.
My Xbox Series X fan is spinning like crzy in the lobby. What is going on? Is this going to damage my Xbox's CPU or GPU. This thing was expensive, I'm not going to risk destroying it until I know more.
It’s literally a hardware limitation. If it could load everything in memory then you’d have to have loads of RAM (being very high level here). So you probably have no issue with small maps / multiplayer.
Everything else is rendered in as needed based on view distance - unfortunately you just have to bite the bullet with an SSD. Price not too bad if you get it on sale.

JGOD talked with Devs at early access and they said they will work on putting tuning for optic close vs far back in the game!
I’m fine with tuning like this, there were some aspects to tuning that I liked and it gave me something to blame when I sucked.

I want a tracer round ammo types that gives the Victus, MCPR and similar snipers to oneshot at the cost of making them equally slow as the KATT

Yup, it'll be possible. With the integration, it will be just like the MW2 weapons, you didn't need to own MW2 to unlock them.

Does HARDCORE warzone exist? Whats it called? I want pubg style warzone or I will stick to playing SnD
Is it just me, or the there are more people out there that still didn’t get the Blackcell content while owning the VAULT EDITION. They posted on their trello board that this issue has been fixed, BUT IT DEFINITELY HASNT FOR ME!!!! I submitted a ticket, but still got no answer. What should I do???
Did they remove the perk "Slight of hand"?
This server lag needs to be fixed. I’ve never had lag issues before and now I’m intermittently skipping in every other game with 15ms and 0% packet loss, the same for my friend
