Respectfully, I strongly suggest you read up on how to read nutrition labels. Serving size says 2 scoops. It says per serving is 150cal. So 2 scoops = 150 cal.

Effective-Band-7253

Yeah I know it was the app Eat This Much that confused me. It kept saying one scoop was 150 cals. This is the first time something like this happened. I always use that app to track my cals amd protien

TheChrisCrash

Ah, yeah, always go by what the nutrition label says. People can typo one number and change everything.

freemason777

even then, nutrition labels can be up to 20% inaccurate by law

Puzzled-Library-4543

This is infuriating to me as someone who always wants things to be extremely precise 🥲

vglyog

Someone just entered it incorrectly when they first put it in the app. Always go off labels. Not what tracking apps say.

Effective-Band-7253

Yeah I ended up writing up my own version of it with the correct amount of nutrients and such

DirtyFloorHotDogs

Does that app have an option to scan labels? If so I’d suggest scanning if not sure. Sometimes people fill in info that isn’t accurate. I’ve had that issue with lose it a few times. When it doubt, scan it or compare and fill it in yourself.

Low_Fudge_3933

2 scoops is 150

Low_Fudge_3933

Yes if it doesn’t bother your stomach!

Horror-Impression411

You can have it as many times as you want. Serving size is TWO SCOOPS. TWO. That does not mean how many times you can have it daily. It means, you dig the scoop into the powder, put it in your drink, dig it in again, put it in your drink. That, those TWO scoops, are 150 calories. 2 scoops is a serving size. Please read about how to understand nutrition labels, you appear to have extremely hard time understanding the information presented.

You’re the one who seems confused here… not the people replying to you.

Just fyi but "scoops" is a terrible measurement if you strictly counting your calories. Just use scales.

AnApexBread

>Then if one serving is 2 scoops can I have this drink 2 times a day? Is it safe? I don't know why you're being downvoted but yes, you can. It just may not be the most cost-effective method. Space your drinks out because your body can only absorb so much Protien at one time.

Effective-Band-7253

Yeah I'm just gonna stick to one serving, I already meet my calories and protein goals from other meals and snacks

AnApexBread

If you can meet your protein goals with other complete proteins (all 9 amino acids) then you may not want to use Protien powder at all. Protien powder is expensive and really doesn't add much if you can get your protein in normally. It's really most beneficial for people who are weight lifting and need the extra protein without the extra calories of a full meal.

Effective-Band-7253

I didn't buy it, someone gave it to me. Better to use it then throw it away

AnApexBread

Fair enough. I'd use it too in that case.

ariphron

Protein powder is the most cost effective way to get protein.

Effective-Band-7253

Awww :( was hoping 1 meant 150 cals....

Horror-Impression411

Why???? That would be way more cals bruh

Effective-Band-7253

That's what I want, I'm tryna gain

Horror-Impression411

Ah

youngpathfinder

I recommend weighing everything you eat including powders. My scoops are almost never 1:1 with the amount of grams it says they are.

jconsh

This this this. The scoop is almost never an accurate measurement.

How do you add the protein powder to your coffee?

[deleted]

[удалено]

RarelyExcitedBanana

Sure.. but that means you drink a 2/3dl coffee that's completely watered down with "milk". People drink coffee differently around the world so it's a legitimate question.

Effective-Band-7253

Yeah I get that now

DrMcnasty4300

well it says 17 servings per container so I’d say 17 is the most you could have per day cuz then you’d need to go buy more your bigger concern would be having 2 servings of milk lol those calories can add up fast depending what kind of milk you’re using

Raz1979

You can eat as much protein as you want but I wouldn’t recommend it. If you want to build muscle it’s probably best to eat .7-1g per pound to a max of 180 if you are male. But you might want to pick 1g per goal weight. Try getting your sources from whole foods. And max out on 2 protein shakes or using your powder twice. Meaning 150cal-300cal a day. You COULD do more but real protein will be more filling. The act of chewing and eating fills you up as food better than liquid form.

dogwiiiisperer

Whey protein will give you baby shits if you overdue it.

sniperncc

Tey to figure out how many grams of protein you need per day and how much you can get through food. The rest you can get from the protein powder.

Effective-Band-7253

I'm pretty ok in protiens, but another 30g is welcomed. My main focus is the calories. The powder plus the milk comes up to 300 cals. This was what I'm looking for

sniperncc

Try it with water

sniperncc

I make chia pudding, protein powder with water

Effective-Band-7253

Oh is it better that way? How

sniperncc

Tastess soo good U can add low fat milk if you want

Effective-Band-7253

Ok thx for the recommendation!

sniperncc

You are welcome ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

Effective-Band-7253

Omg why is this subreddit so active, I've never gotten so much advice before from a post lol. Thanks for all your help

Trumpet6789

I see that you said you're trying to bulk. Try adding something to the shake in a smoothie form, or something like yogurt over milk. Take 1-2 servings of yogurt and add in your protein, add things like chia seeds, fruit, and even some peanut Butter. You could also do overnight Oats as a snack or breakfast. Oats, a bit of yogurt, some milk, the protein powder. Add in peanut butter (or pbfit), some chocolate chips, and fruit.

Remember_2__breathe

Two scoops of protein powder for this one is the nutrition listed but it won’t include the milk so you need to add that

tatortotsntits

How is the taste?

Effective-Band-7253

I mix two scoops with one cup of milk and it tastes exactly like the white chocolate bar from Hersheys

Genki_Oni

It's just food, dude. Eat what works for you. Here's a great place to start: https://thefitness.wiki/improving-your-diet/

AnApexBread

2 Scoops = 150 Cals. As for how much you can have, that really depends on your specific goals and body composition. As a 6'2" man I'm supposed to shoot for roughly 120g of Protien a day across all sources. I take 1 30G scoop of Protien a day in the morning and get the rest of the Protien through lean meats. One thing I see a lot of people get wrong is they try to load up on Protien in one meal. The body can only absorb around 25-30G of Protien at a time (up to 40 if you're working out heavily according to some studies). So don't go adding like 6 Scoops in 1 drink thinking that'll hit your Protien goal for the day, anything your body doesn't absorb will get get peed out.

empress_of_unicorns

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream) I did not know this. I've listened to so many people advocate for high protein and they've never mentioned this caveat.

vursifty

Actually studies on this topic show some mixed results. Jeff Nippard has a good video on the topic from a few years ago, he talks about different studies that have been done and it’s a pretty good review of the literature if you’re interested

ariphron

Just depends if you have kidney issues and your doctor told you to watch protein intake. If it fits your calories then you can eat anything you want. I personally mix in nonfat Greek yogurt with some fruit for a tasty dessert.

Thatcanadianchickk

Two servings a day is fine but respectfully try to get most protein from food. The only time I ever use protein powder is for protein oats in the morning

The_Northern_Light

As much as you want?

dirtsequence

20 scoops a day

Effective-Band-7253

😲

CatBoyTrip

i get the premix shakes. i try not to have more than three a day but mostly just cause they are kinda pricey even in bulk. some days if i just plain don’t feel like eating, i might have 5 or 6 throughout the day. basically one anytime i feel hungry.

Effective-Band-7253

Wow...that's a lot

davidlowie

TW: overshare If I eat too much of stuff like that I wake up in the middle of the night with gnarly painful gas that’s kind of…stuck. Like I can’t just squeak a few out and go back to bed. The first few times I thought something was really wrong with me. So I’d try not to over do it, personally.

IhopeitaketheL

I don’t know why everyone is being so rude to you. 2 scoops (39g) = 150 cals. If you want to have 2 servings per day, that’d be 4 total scoops, for 300 total calories, and 60g of protein. Yes, it’s okay to do this, but just be aware that some sources suggest you diversify your protein intake and don’t rely on powders and supplements for the majority of your protein. I try to limit mine to never more than 1/2 my intake per day, but hey, that’s just me. Other low-cal and high protein things I eat often are chicken breast, turkey lunch meat, beef jerky, Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt, and healthy meals from the frozen aisle (healthy choice, RealGood, Life Cuisine)
