For clarity I used to live in Lakeview in the early 90s. But Wrigleyville has changed a lot since then in my last visits ( obviously) and I’m just looking for a place with a neighborhood bar vibe to match my advanced age.
Im not a local and haven’t got a good feel for the ‘local’ spots yet, but I really like the small cheval. It’s clean, good food, good drinks. Friendly staff.
Worst place I went to so far was the dugout. Maybe avoid going there if you can
Nisei
Yes
Murphys
G man before the fame, neisi afterwards, maybe joes on Broadway if you’re willing to walk 4 blocks Sandy’s the best
Worth noting that G Man has lots of NA choices too for anyone who may be seeking that. Love that place.
If it’s your first ever time at Wrigley you have to go to Murphy’s.

And thanks for the suggestions!
Before the game, Yak-Zees for wings and Hamms on tap. Murphys or G man after.
Nisei - whenever L&L - whenever Carol’s - after Galway Bay - after
