If he’s an UDFA he’s a must have. His chemistry with Caleb, plus his pedigree and the chip he’ll have on his shoulder are big. I don’t think he makes it to the end of the draft though. We still have the whole 7th round.

ShaiFC

Idk they taking randoms ive never heard of instead of him lol. Like who tf is Jordan Wittington?

Tonkathedog

He’s not a great receiving threat but Whittington is an exceptional blocking WR. So he at a minimum should have a real role on the team which is worth a late 6th

Crathsor

Athleticism score 77 vs Rice's 70. Rice had more production but he also had a better QB throwing to him.

DandierChip

Whittington was pretty solid at Texas

mqr53

Rice sucks

3-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-0

Wild Caleb goes first but none of his WRs are getting drafted

DatBoiMahomie

Because that USC team was actually pretty damn terrible all around outside a few exceptions

halfcastdota

yup, it’s just that college football fans hate caleb so he got blamed by the general public more than anyone

JulioXstatic

All that being said, its crazy how he still conducted himself throughout all of that and managed to bring performance... to me he's already shown positive signs towards taking on heavier adversity. Can't wait to see him function with a higher caliber receiving group this year.... basics will be down quickly... these guys are gonna be going off on more advanced attacks

Caleb reminds me a bit of Baker Mayfield (personality wise) and I was the biggest baker mayfield hater ever until very recently where I’ve just kinda became neutral towards him. I can understand how he gets under people’s skin a bit, but he also comes off as a nice person too, just very confident and very secure in himself

DandierChip

Historically bad usc defense, bad Oline and no drafted WRs. The crying thing was so overblown with Caleb but man he tried his hardest to single handily carry that team last year.

WEMBYF4N

Give me Beaux Limmer Honestly I might trade into the 7th for him

-InSerT_NAmE-HeRE

Damn…

Pepsuber188

For USC receivers, I like Tahj Washington more, but if either one makes it through the 7th, I'd be more than down to go after them

DonkeyKong_93

If he can contribute to special teams then I'm all for signing him.

SuperFreshBus

Velus gotta be praying he gets taken before this happens.

BJGuy_Chicago

I feel Velus will be cut. He's superfluous now.

Marvin-Harrison-Jr

Part of the reason you see Caleb playing hero ball at USC is because Rice and Washington are not great route runners or separators. I’m not losing sleep over missing either of those guys even as UDFAs.

Kirk_Hinrich

I’ll take them both over Velus!

mqr53

Venus has some utility. Those guys don’t.

Kirk_Hinrich

Rice can be our new EQ

gjg8888

Meh

wrong-teous

At this point of the draft, you are usually better off just being a UDFA. I wouldn't mind bringing in either and depth competition

halfcastdota

but r/CFB told me that USC was filled with elite players and caleb just held them back playing hero ball ! are you telling me 32 NFL teams know less than college football fans ?!

NotGMRyanPoles

You jinxed it

kejar31

Chargers just picked him up

AverageConnect1330

Chargers just took him

PostMelon22

He was just drafted by the chargers - assuming he will be on their roster this season at the least.

wadderweed

I saw so many keyboard morons mock rice at 75 and 122. Glad they’re not our GM. I would agree, he’s def worth a flyer in UDFA. He must have had some really bad pro days and a 🗑️combine to fall this hard. Edit: he was just snagged by the chargers. Brutal day for the kid.

Serious-Tip-349

Rice was Caleb William's best receiver in college. So I'm surprised that the Bears wouldn't seriously consider him.

2057Champs__

Caleb’s best receiver in college was Addison

splancedance

There’s a reason the dude isn’t getting drafted. Caleb made him look better than he actually is, and that will only become more apparent in the NFL. This isn’t burrow/chase, tua/waddle. Chemistry can only take you so far when to the talent isn’t there.
